    BrianPalmer answered the phone and answered all questions very professionally. Even though he had not ever worked on our model of car he told us he'd feel very comfortable working on the problem. He kept us informed on when we'd get the car back. He only charged us for horn part and repair. He fixed AC but never charged us.

    The head gasket repair went fine. Delivered as promised.
    The exhaust manifold on the other vehicle had almost broken in two pieces. Slack's had it repaired more quickly than promised, cheaper than expected, and gave me a ride to and from their location.
    I have referred several people to Slack's and none have had a bad experience. If something goes wrong or isn't quite right, they'll do their best to correct the situation.

    When I arrived, I was immediately greeted in a friendly and professional fashion. Thomas was the gentlemen that took care of me. He was up front about everything and ensured that I had all the knowledge I needed before leaving.
    Within a few hours, I received a call from him stating that they had tracked down the issue and were trying to track down the parts to get me a good estimate. He asked for an additional day to track down the information, and I happily granted his request.
    I honestly wasn't expecting a call back from them that day. All of my previous experiences with automotive shops, you'll be lucky to get a call back within the next two days to tell you what is wrong with your vehicle. These guys are quick!
    While I ultimately decided not to have my vehicle serviced due to the cost of the parts (not because they inflated the price or anything of that sort. Just because the replacement parts were ungodly expensive for an older year car), I still had a great experience. I would recommend these guys any day of the week!
    If you're looking for friendly knowledgeable people who won't try and sell you services you don't need, then you've found the right place.

    I left a message requesting a quote but did not get a return call. I did not call them back because I felt that if they were too busy to respond they might not provide timely service. I will probably contact them again if I need another quote in the future.

    I told the Midas Service Manager I wanted to pick up the vehicle, do not do anything to the vehicle. I picked the vehicle up and took it to my shop at home. I jacked the rear of the vehicle up and pulled the tires, and brake drums off the vehicle. The inside of the drums were dry with some dust from the brakes. It appeared the brakes were inspected due to have a blue marker on some of the mechanical parts. There was no oil from the leaking seals. Everything was dry. The rear brake pads have nearly no wear at all. After my inspection, it was determined the mechanism for the emergency brake was not releasing all the way, cause the brakes to stick and make binding sounds within the brake drums. After 20 minutes of lubing the moving parts and the emergency pull in the interior compartment the problem was fixed. I have pictures taken of the rear brakes prior to me lubing the mechanical parts. In short, Midas tried to rip me off for $900 or more. I will never go back there, and I will spread the word far and wide.

    Called and they had multiple appointments for that day. Very professional and prompt, whole thing took maybe 35 minutes at the most. Plus they had military discount!
