    Centurion, Dr. Alejandro F.
Dr. Centurion does a great job with neurological checkups. He just needs to speak a little louder during the checkup.

My story is private. However, I can say without any hesitation, the man saved my sanity and my life.

    Fennell, Dr. Donald
Dr. Fennell was straight forward about the fact that his job is medications, and the therapist's job is therapy, but that they work together. He was a kind and compassionate man who listened carefully to my questions and concerns. He didn't push medications. Our first appointment was an assessment, and he stated he wouldn't recommend the medications at that time because I was not really wanting to be on medications. As it became clearer to me the benefit I could derive, I was more receptive to the idea. He was very responsive to my concerns and worked with them.

    Banks, Dr. Laura T.
I would grade her excellent all the way.  She is one of those doctors who takes time and cares about the person, not just the patient.

    Arora, Dr. Princy
I just go there as a routine patient, and it is fine.  I just go there and talk with the physician, and leave. I am able to get in and get my prescriptions refilled without any problems. They always call me in advance.

    Centurion, Dr. Alejandro F.
He is one of those genius kinds of guys. He is young, really nice and soft spoken. He was thorough. His office is a basic doctor's office, the same as what you would expect in typical doctor's office. He was on-time. He is super smart but he is shy. I went from doctor to doctor. He used to work in the same hospital that I used to work for. They sent me the bills in a timely manner.

I did like that they were able to make the appointments as quickly as possible. However their availability of appointments left a lot to be desired. They need more variety encompassing better appointment times especially those with minors. Unfortunately they refused to have appointments that would not interfere with my daughter's schooling. Then they had a service provider that only spoke to her for 15 minutes at a time, which didn't really seem to me to really benefit my daughter. Then they only had 1 or 2 psychiatrists that could or would see my daughter which left only 1 available depending on the appointment time. It was sorely lacking in information. I have tried to resolve the issue with them on several counts and they will no longer return my phone calls. They wrote me a letter stating they will no longer be responsible for my daughter so in the interim I am without care for my daughter. I used them from February 2012 to December 2013. I missed an appointment because I was sick and I called them to reschedule because my daughter needed her medication and I haven't heard anything from them.

    Romeo Mariano MD
I do not recommend Dr. Mariano for a number of reasons.  He spent the majority of our meeting wandering off topic, talking about subjects that had nothing to do with me and the reason I came to see him.  He has very poor relational skills and hardly made any personal contact with me, or empathic connection. He seemed disinterested in why I was feeling depressed.   He started "texting" in the middle of our session - letting me know how many out-of-town patients he has and how busy he is!  By the end of the two hour appointment he wrote me a prescription for an antidepressant and a sedative.  I never expressed that I was anxious or having problems sleeping, but he wanted me taking it nightly on an ongoing basis, which I felt was unnecessary. As the two hours came to an end (he was a half hour late for the appt.) he asked for my email address so that he could send me a list of supplements to take.  So I left, definitely not impressed.  A week passed and I didn't receive his email with the supplement list.  I called his office and left a message, but he nor his secretary returned my call.  I called again, but no response.  Finally, I got a call back from his secretary almost 3 weeks later!  She didn't even realize I had called days before and made excuses for not calling me back.  She then defended Dr. Mariano's poor response by saying that our meeting had run overtime and he wouldn't be giving me the supplement list until our next appointment.  My appointment did not run overtime, it was exactly two hours - he was the one who was late.  He was too lazy to follow through with his treatment plan - I'm his patient!  I was really angry and disgusted.  The secretary called me back to let me know that the doctor would email the list to me, and he finally did.  He never bothered to talk with me. The bottom line, is that he's unprofessional and irresponsible.  He charged $650.00 for the meeting.  He should have returned my call within 24 hours - he's a psychiatrist, not a plumber!  Needless-to-say, I won't be returning to his office. Pediatric Group of Monterey
The worst administration of any physician's office I have ever been to. A simple diagnosis and follow-up medication took 4 (and counting) months of phone calls, getting told various different hoops to go thru, and everyone contradicting what the last person told us. Who gets 1.5 hrs for lunch everyday? They schedule an apt. for 1:30, and tell you to arrive early, but they don't even let you in off the street until 1:35. Rude. Bureaucratic. If you like filling out tons paperwork that will just be lost or not read at all, then you will love the Pediatric Group of Monterey.
