    Discount Plumbing Heating & Air
We had Discount Plumbing come over and install a tankless water heater for us. It was the most thorough job somebody ever done in this house. Hector spent 12 hours in the house and by 10 PM we had hot water running. He and his helper took the old heater out, then he installed probably 5 other pipes going in and out of garage and connected it all to the water heater outside. His job was like a job of a surgeon! One by one, piece by piece it was all coming together. We wanted to put a water heater outside and hector found the only right spot where the heater can go to comply with the code - love working with this company! It was worth every penny!

    Brawley Construction
We originally just wanted to remodel our kitchen and family room. They were separate rooms and we wanted to take down the wall to create a more open feeling. We later decided to remodel our laundry room and bathroom too. Brawley Construction was very professional in every aspect. They were very friendly and easy to communicate with. They were very helpful in helping us make decisions. They were very understanding and agreeable to all the additional things we asked for too. Their workers Ed and Angel were very professional as well. They did all the work from demolition to all last minute details. They were very articulate in all phases of the job. We LOVE our newly remodeled home! I would highly recommend Brawley Construction for any remodeling job!

    Brawley Construction
Brawley Construction did a great job for us in getting our home repaired and ready for us to move back in. Mike and Sarah did a great job of leading and coordinating each of the complicated steps repairing our home from demolition and rebuild to the last final touches. They demonstrated great knowledge interfacing with a variety of city officials, and others to coordinate inspections and other events and keep the job moving, including planners, inspectors, drafters, and material suppliers. They have a wonderful crew of skilled craftsmen who demonstrated strong work ethic and requisite skills to easily do the work required. They were on time and ready to begin work each day always polite and helpful and kept a clean safe work place. Mike and Sarah were easy to talk to through out the project and were always willing to discuss any aspect we asked about. Mike has a large network of suppliers and sub contractors at his disposal, that were also first rate people, to get some of the specialty work done, they were all very professional and qualified. I think the project went about as well as could be expected due to the very harsh weather we had here in California this past winter. Overall we are very satisfied with how the project proceeded and the final outcome. We love our House!

They were great! There was someone at our home almost everyday and we got a text message if they weren't coming. Everyone was professional, friendly and easy to work. And the rooms turned out perfect! Definitely worth it!

    Martin Plumbing
Chris was on time, very professional and friendly.  I appreciated the fact that when he entered our home he used foot coverings as not to track anything on our flooring. It took several attempts to finally find the problem but Chris was not deterred. He was very positive he could figure out what the problem was and correct it.  When we need to call a plumber again we will definitely be calling Martin Plumbing! I highly recommend Martin Plumbing.

    CNR Construction Co
We interviewed several local contractors prior to settling on CNR construction and Raymond to do the work. It took several months due to the size of the project and getting permits. As the work progressed we added a large deck to the addition and a few other things that were nice to haves. All the work was done with exceptional quality, we were given choices on what we could do to save money, and Raymond worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The work has been done for a few weeks now and we are very happy with the way the addition tuned out, and have had zero problems. If we have a question Raymond responds quickly, we will be using him again next year to remodel two of the older bathrooms. I would reccomend Raymond to my family and friends.

    Allied Tile & Stone

Allied Tile's estimate was the highest estimate I received, but I decided to use them because I had the impression they would do an excellent job and the installers would be journeyman level.

They called me after the scheduled start time on the first day to reschedule for the next day because an employee had car trouble. The following day the owner and two employees arrived on time. The owner started the installation, instructing the other two employees as he was working. After about half the tile was installed, the owner left and the other two employees completed the installation of the tile. They were joking around, talking the entire time they were here and seemed to be in a rush to finish.

After they left for the day, I realized much of the tile installed after the owner left was not straight. They were scheduled to return the next day to complete the grout. The next morning I spoke to another one of the owners and explained the concerns I had with the installation. He was somewhat rude and obviously in a rush to get off the call. The same two installers returned and another owner came by later. He instructed the two employees to remove many of the tiles they had previously installed, so they worked on that for several hours and then completed the grouting. While they were working, they were using a bucket that leaked water over a large portion of my floor, which I helped them clean up. In addition, I had to ask them to cover my counter top because they placed tools directly on the counter. My house is new, and I was concerned about them causing damage.

Because the grout was installed before I was given the opportunity to approve the replaced tiles, I reluctantly decided to live with a backsplash that still is not level. Although we furnished the tile and they used extra material to replace the poorly installed tiles, there was no offer to adjust the installation charge.

    RE-NEW Construction
My remodel started on 4/7/14 and we are still finishing up as of 7/14/14. The remodel was supposed to take 3 weeks. Joe was at all times disrespectful of my time, many times stating he would be here to complete something at a certain date and time and not showing up or calling. I was forced to cancel or reschedule many personal appointments after which I was stood up and the work again was not completed. The work that was completed was many times not done in a professional manner.

For example, Joe took two days to lay the tile on the bottom of the shower then had to tear it out (another day) because he placed it prior to the granite going in. Then he took another 2 days to relay the floor. After all this time, the floor was not set right and does not drain properly, causing me to squeegee it after each use to drain it. Another example, he installed 2 out of 3 faucets backwards, hot being cold and cold being hot. It took weeks for me to get him back to fix that. Another example, he attempted to install the flooring and ended up having to call in a professional to complete it properly, this took another week or so to get done.

Don't expect him to work full days, he worked an average of less than 3 hours a day including the time spent by subcontractors. In addition, he doesn't plan his days in advance so he finds himself having to leave the site and run and get supplies . Many days he has left promising to return and just never returned, no call to inform me what was going on. He left in the middle of putting in the shower floor to look for a drain, that took him 5 hours and he never called or came back. He had me order the flooring 2 weeks before the project started, which I did. On the day he was to lay the floor was when he went to pick it up only to find out that the flooring I picked out needed to be ordered. As a result of this, I had to spend another day picking flooring and was restricted to what they had on hand, thus ending up with flooring I was not crazy about. It was that or wait a another week.

Joe does not seem to be familiar with contracting basics, see the shower floor and faucets above. In addition, the sinks I picked out were vessel style.I reminded Joe that the counter needed to be constructed lower to compensate for the hight of the sinks above the counters. He stated that wasn't necessary. I now have sinks that come to my upper chest and have to use a step stool to use them.

It took 6 weeks to get the cabinets made and involved me going to the cabinet shop numerous times. While I understand Joe was not responsible for this, he was the project manager and should have either made sure they were done in a timely manner or get another cabinet maker.

In general I was bitterly disappointed, angry and exhausted with this project. I can not recommend Re-new construction or it's owner Joe.
