    PAWS A WHILE
Incompetent. Rude. Inept. I have three dogs who have been to Paws A While previously. My first experience was mediocre but convenient enough to where I live I decided to give them a second try. First visit -- Shampoo scent fades in less than a day. Anal glands not properly expunged. Dogs shed nonstop for three days after. Second visit -- First attendant couldn't even get one of the dogs into the backroom without him escaping, nearly out of the store. The groomer herself then decided to walk the dog to the back but when the dog didn't want to go in a cage she decided she couldn't groom the pup because she was fearful of being bitten by a dog! I repeat, this is a DOG GROOMER afraid of getting bitten by dogs, a dog who by the by, has passed every temperament test ever given him in multiple states and companies, but here at Paws a While, the staff is afraid of dogs and can't wrangle a single one, ON HIS LEASH. I explained to the groomer that the dog's been here before and she said she understood it's just if a dog doesn't want to go in a cage she won't groom them. HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU KNOW THAT WANT TO GO IN THEIR CAGE? She kept repeating she was too afraid of being bitten. Now, our two larger dogs we walk on "Gentle Leaders" because their trainer recommended it so maybe that's what spooked this unprofessional dog care diva. Did I mention our dogs have been through professional training at three different schools, all of which they passed with flying colors? So, either the groomer was having a bad day and decided to take it out on her customers (symbolic of an awful person who should find a new profession), or she's just incompetent and afraid of the very animals she supposedly works with on a daily basis (and should therefore consider a career where you don't work with animals or people). Either way, we'll never come back here. I was treated with such disrespect by people incapable of even controlling a dog on a leash and leader!?!?! ***?!?! I mean seriously, maybe only go here if you have a hamster, but then again, with such a 'fraidy cat grooming the animals you may have to muzzle the hamster to keep the grooming staff "safe". Primadonna service with mediocre to subpar results. NEVER AGAIN will I go here and neither should you.

Yellow Brick Road Doggie Playcare & Gym
We've had great experiences with them. We pay $30 a day for the daycare but we have a package and we also have two dogs and it's half price for the second dog. The package is $250 for 50 visits, the best for the two dogs. They do grooming. They do agility training. We can have them take the dogs for walks. If we have the dogs there at least four days a week, they will bathe them for free and sometimes we take advantage of that. They also do pick-up and drop-off though I have never used that service. The people there are really wonderful. Both the staff and the volunteers who come in to take care of the dogs are wonderful. The dogs are very happy to go there. It's nice that they have occasional open houses. They recently opened an outdoor play area and they had an open house to celebrate that. They also have some dogs there that are rescued that they foster there and are available for adoption. We think very highly of them. I think that their package deals are very reasonable. We certainly will use them again.

    LUCKY DAWG MOBILE GROOMING
!!I first had Lucky Dawg out to groom both my Soft Coat Wheaten Terriers.  One is 2 years old and the other is 8 years old.  They are both a handful.  Unfortunately, my old girl is not a fan of bathing.  However, the groomer was awesome the way she handled the situation when my dog refused to be bathed.  I spoke to Alison, owner, over the phone and she was so wonderful when I explained my dog's past experience with grooming.  Her husband, Michael, came today to give it another go with my old girl and he was gentle and understanding.  My old girl is stubborn, but Michael knew how to handle her and she looks beautiful!  Both dogs are happy with their new hair cuts!  Thank you Michael.  I would highly recommend Lucky Dawg Mobile Grooming.
