    High Country Construction
The screened porch involved removing existing stucco, installing siding for new interior and exterior walls, knotty pine T&G ceiling, ceiling fan, outlets, switches, outdoor light, skylight and pet door. Loren (the contractor) was very helpful in making suggestions for design and used first-class materials. His workmen did a superior job; even the building inspector was impressed! The porch came out better than we envisioned. Loren and his workers are always professional and cordial, and cleaned up the work site each day before leaving.

    Tom Keith Electrical Services
Visited 3x; estimate, ceiling fan plus outdoors and bathroom fan. Arrived punctually and left areas very clean. Extremely knowledgeable, especially pertaining to wiring in older homes (ours is 45 years old). Helped us determine most effective and economical option for our situation.

    Tom Keith Electrical Services
Mr. Keith and his son came to install a lighted fan in one of my bedrooms. I had attempted to install the unit myself but when I took down the original light fixture I discovered that the wiring had been charred. Upon investigation by Tom we found out that the wiring had been charred by someone, prior to my owning the house, had used an inappropriate blub wattage. So after all that the light fixture was installed and is working great.

    Tom Keith Electrical Services
Installation of ceiling fans in two bedrooms. Needed to drill into the ceiling and run electrical from the fan to the wall switch. Tom also changed the lighting setup in a bathroom by changing the location of the existing light and added another box for an additional light. Tom explained exactly he would need to do to achieve the results we wanted and gave us an estimate of time and cost. He did an excellent job, and was able to complete the work keeping within his estimate.

    American Handyman
We called and were responded to within 2 hours. I then waited a week to get in touch with James again and although I had waited he remembered who I was and what projects I had in mind. He set up an appointment to give us a bid within a week's time. He and his partner Walt came to go over the project and were on time and very professional. They got back with a bid in a few days. It seemed very fair considering the amount and variety of the work we needed to have accomplished. We set up a time to do the work with in a week and a half. They came on time, with everything ready and set to work immediately. Even though some unexpected problems showed up in the work (on our part, not theirs) they responded professionally and promptly with no attitude. They worked diligently and quickly. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, their knowledge and expertise, their excellent attitude and fair pricing. We will call them again and again and recommend them to any friend with the upmost confidence!

Tom's seems to be a great guy. Responded an hour after I left a message and arrived later that morning. Friendly and seems to like to have you stand around and have him explain what he's doing. Learned a few things. I would definitely hire him again. Overall a great experience.

He was great. He does all kinds of things and he was very good. They are very hard to find. Good handymen are hard to find.  He was here on time. What he said he was going to do, he did. The price that he gave us is what he charged us.

I'll start by saying that this was a pretty tough job - I knew it before I called Tom Keith. In particular, the living room fan was to be installed on a 15-foot vaulted ceiling in a location where no previous light fixture was (so no electricity already there), and with no attic access. I wasn't even sure it could be done. I've used Angie's List in the past, so trusted the reviews to be accurate and actually only called Tom Keith (because he had the most and best reviews). He was 15 minutes early for the initial evaluation and bid. He came up with a price between $900 and $1100 - which was under the number I had in mind ($1200) - so agreed to it right there and then. A week or so later he was out, with his son Brian there to help, again, on-time. The installation seemed like it was a challenge. Besides the living room fan being in gnarly, nearly unaccessible location, it turned out that the light switches in the guest bedrooms butted up against a major support beam, requiring access ports to be cut within the closet so that they could drill into the light switch cavities from the back-side. Needless to say, this was an unexpected. Fortunately, once they got everything installed, they took care of patching the holes and re-texturing - something apparently not all electricians are always willing to do. Another example of frustrating circumstances was that two of the fans I got had screws drilled so tightly on the light-kit covers that they were impossible to remove, so, a job that may have been complete-able in one day, required them to come back out a week or so later after I had replacement mechanisms sent to my house (from the manufacturer). In the end, the fans all got installed, and to my pleasant surprise, within the budget he had said, though at the higher end, $1100. I felt this was fair given all the pain-in-the-a** things that I witnessed them having to go through (there were even more that I didn't list here). I give Tom Keith an overall A-rating. The only B's I gave were for price (because I can't confirm that his price really was the best, he was the only estimate I got) and for professionalism, because throughout all the inconveniences on this job, they kept hollering for me to come see the issues they were having. After awhile I started to feel like and quot;I get it, this is a tough job... that's why I hired professional electriciansand quot;. To their defense, though, they really did have to bend over backwards to get these d*** fans installed. And their communication, timeliness, and overall work ethic were top-notch. The fans function flawlessly. I'd recommend Tom Keith to my friends, and will be calling him back out to do some recessed lighting in my kitchen within the next year or two.
