    Attic Guys
These guys were great. They were careful about the house, they were thorough in their work and the attic has never been so cleaned up. It was a treat working with them. I had zero problems. It is a hot and dusty task. Want to see someone put in an honest day's work? Watch these folks. Kudos to Matt, Roy and Jessie.

    Atticare SF
It all went great. Crew was outstanding I just had another job done by AttiCare. This time I had their estimator David Katz. Bid on removal and clean up. Sealing for rats and all new R19 insulation. Hey also placed a vapor barrier over most of the area. I can't believe when I look at some of the low ratings placed on Angie's list for this great company. The crew led by Ricky worked until 8:00 pm to remove all the rat Infested insulation, wood and other debris and then started the hard task of working in crawl space installing Kraft faced R 19 insulation. They sealed multiple entry holes. This has was built in 1860 and presented many challenges for the crew. This is the second time I used Atticare in the last Couple months. They have earned a customer for my next projects in my rentals and commercial projects. These fine young men worked so hard, I went out and bought them a full course barbecue meal from a great Los Gatos restaurant. I read some reviews and can't believe some people expect to get their job done for 99 dollars . Their estimate alone is a very In depth detailed process and is a great insight to what condition your attic or crawl space is in . It is with the highest recommendations that I give Atticare 5 stars. Again, quality cost money, and their prices are fair. The finished project is quality. I don't usually make these types of recommendations without a 100 percent feeling that a company exceed my expectations. First class company, great crews and fair price. I hope you have the opportunity to use them for your job . You won't be disappointed !!

    Atticare SF

I am writing this review after having Atticare finish a very challenging and difficult project. I have been a Firefighter for 34 years. I have been in many attics and crawlspaces, and must admit that my attic was in need of major TLC. My home was built in 1886. It is a Two story Victorian and the attic had rodents, old wood and the insulation was in need of replacement.

As a member of Angies list, and under Yelp and the Better Business Bureau I spent a great deal of time searching for the right company. I obtained 4 Bids for the project. Atticare came out on top for many reasons. First off their price was competitive. Their estimator/Technician David K. Meet with me and gave me a history and background on their company. He then spent 45 minutes in my attic and crawl space. He dressed in clean overalls to start the inspection. When he came down from the attic he changed into his clean clothes and meet me in my kitchen. He showed my around 20 plus pictures and videos of my attic. He explained Atticare?s process. David was a wealth of knowledge on rodent behavior and was very low pressure sale. He was extremely helpful and by far the best salesperson/technician of all the companies I interviewed. I signed the contract and was ready to go.

It was an easy decision to choose Atticare.  And No, I do not work for them, or have been asked to write a review. The company called me the night before to remind me of the appointment on Friday November 27, 2015. The workers called me at 0900 am and advised that they would be at my house by 0930. They showed up on time and with a helpful friendly attitude. The crew was led by Melisio and consisted of a total of four technicians.  Melisio, Elder, Keller and Idario arrived in a large Box Truck and went right to work. They placed plastic on all walkways in the house and covered the walls. Their preparation was outstanding. They removed all the old insulation in the attic, vacuumed the complete area with large outdoor industrial vacuums. There were over 70 bags of insulation and old Ductwork that they removed. They cleaned out old wood and debris that was over 130 years of accumulation. This itself was impressive. All during the process, Melisio kept me informed of their progress. They completed the cleanup with small vacuums and removed every last bit of debris and rodent droppings. At this point I went into the attic and was amazed at what they accomplished.

The next step was rodent proofing with galvanized wire mesh and expansion foam. They covered in excess of 30 areas. (They started in the crawl space under the house, and worked into outdoor areas and finally the attic.  At this point they took a short break, and I brought them a meal of Barbequed Chicken, Beans, and bread. (I believe that it is important to treat workers on your residence as guests).  At this point, they were right back to work and disinfected the entire attic, and under the house. They then started the process of installing R 38 insulation throughout the large attic area. They completed all this work in 8 hours. When they were finished they cleaned up all the inside of the house, outside and all work areas.

I can only say one word as for the company? Impressive.  If you are looking for a company that does a 5 star job, they are the one to pick. I will be sending this review to the company,  Angies list and Yelp. I have seen many coupons for $ 99.00 for an attic clean up, and must laugh. If you want quality and a first class job pick Atticare.  99.00 covers a company that checks your attic and sets traps. The old adage you get what you pay for is true.

I will recommend to my fellow firefighters, Friends and family to use this company in the future. From my initial meeting with David K to the end process I am left feeling very positive on my selection of Atticare.

    Attic Masters
The work that this company did for us was cleaning the attic, repair one of the ducts and to add a fan that circulate the air in the attic.
The service was great and the workers were professional. Luis that was the leader on this job was very straight forward and didn't try to add items that we didn't need to fix or replace.
This is why we recommend this company to work with.

    Attic Masters
We had an inspection and we had to replace the insulation in the attic. We were able to get a good deal from this company after we reached them via a referral.
The work that they did was very good and professional. there were several employees at the house for the 2 days work that they did. We do recommend this company for any insulation replacement that you may need.

    RJL Installations
When I started, I planned to just insulate a small area over the ceiling of my laundry room, which was always chilly, and whatever else I could get for the money I had already put out for The Deal... Whereas Rudy clearly had in mind that the visit would be the beginning of a much bigger job,and my coupon only  the tip of the iceberg... not what I had in mind. But I thought I could at least hear him out,  and each project I asked about which I thought would have an astronomical cost, Rudy came back with what seem an amazingly reasonable price. whic included everything I could think of.  and when I asked for the next enhancement, that too seemed irresistably reasonable, and on and on we went til we got to the very large project described above.. At that point my whole house was insulated and ventilated as well as it could possibly be for a whole lot less than I would ever have thought possible, and I was just delighted. With each improvement, I was really afraid to ask, and then each time I got a nice surprise. I'm only sorry there was no way to insulate my vaulted ceilings, because they cover so much of my main living space. So then Rudy and his workman came back another day to do the work, they worked quietly and considerately, cleaned up perfectly, worked efficiently, were pleasant to have around, and everything went well.
There were just two problems during this transaction. The first was that Rudy could/would not accept a credit card for the job so I  had to get cash or check, which turned out to be an enormous problem for me at that precise moment in time.
The second was that in the process of installing the attic insulation, Rudy had broken the doorbell, wires  which run through the attic to a large clanger bell in the back. And he kept saying he would come back to fix it . But kept not coming. For weeks and weeks. This became very hot and hostile. Only when I threatened in a big way, did he finally show up, pay  for a new electric door bell I had purchased, and install it almost to completion.
    .
Yet on the whole, Rudy was unusually pleasant and smart and sharp, good at explaining things, and a pleasure to do business with.

    SOD Home Group
We are extremely happy with Oren, Michelle and all of SOD crew members.
So we have just purchased our new home, which needed serious updates to make it look like our home. We decided to start with the kitchen, which was outdated and closed, and the master bathroom that looked like it came out of the 70's. We called a few contractors we found and the third meeting was with SOD, well Oren & Michelle came and there ideas just blew us away. Michelle asked us our likes and dislikes in the old kitchen and while questioning us, really got what our vision was, her ability to point out some of the things that we couldn't see was just great. Oren was straight to the point, didn't promise anything he couldn't provide, I really liked the no bulshit approach he had. ( some of the others bidders made us feel like they would promise anything just to have us sign a contract ).
SOD also re pipe and rewire the whole house. they also upgrade the main electrical panel to 200amp.
Oren did an amazing job on our kitchen, opened up the space to the living room, and I just love that I can show off my new kitchen every time I host a party.
I must say that since day one they make sure that the house is covered with plastic, paper and they make sure to keep the site clean every day, even that we are not living at the house!
Their crew were professional, on time and we always knew what was expected to happen. The office always updated us on the schedule on daily basis (they are using some kind of online project management software).
Now we are done with phase one which was the kitchen addition and the next step will be master bath.... I can't wait!!!
I must say their bid was not the lowest one we got, but it was worth every penny more we spent.
I would update once our bathroom will be completed ;)
Thank you everyone for an amazing job!!!

    Bay Valley Insulation Inc
First pass they were unable to properly blend existing roof line with new roof line. This was partly because of the framing discrepancies but they initially assured me that they can take care of it. When I called back, they were first reluctant to fix the problem but after some back and forth they agreed to fix it only after I committed to properly shim the roof line connection. Once I shimmed, they redid the work and the results were as expected. Bottom line, if you have an unusual situation, make sure you oversee the progress, but they are pretty fast and professional with routine roof work.

    Bay Area Rodent Solutions
I suspected that I had a rat problem in the attic of my garage because I could hear them up there sometimes.  Bryan came on Saturday to inspect the attic.  Bryan is one of those guys that you instantly take a liking to and feel comfortable with. After inspection, he told me that my problem was a 9 out 10, 10 being the worst!  The rats had totally set up camp in my attic, and completely destroyed the insulation.  Then he carefully explained the solution for dealing with this problem, which was to first seal all the holes through which the rats were coming in, then remove the old insulation, sanitize the whole attic, and install new insulation.  They even give a two year warranty on their work, which I thought was awesome.  That is, if you get infested again within two years, they will come and take care of it for no charge.  I gave Bryan a 10%  downpayment, and we scheduled the work for several days later.  Overall, Bryan was friendly, professional, knowledgable, and generally installed a feeling of confidence in me.  I was sold.
A few days later, Bryan returned with a two man crew.  They did exactly what Bryan had described to me a few days before.  Sealed all the holes, ripped out old insulation, sanitized the whole attic which was totally filthy with rat droppings, and installed new insulation.  They were very efficient and finished the job in about 6 hours.  The crew was friendly, respectful and professional.  When they were done, it looked like a new attic.  Bryan recommended that I put a few rat traps in the attic to catch any rats that may have been trapped inside when they sealed the attic (they do not do rat trapping).
The whole job cost about $2000, but I got a 10% discount by being a member of Angie's list.  I though the price was reasonable considering the work done.  Overall, I could not have been happier.
