Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Loomis

    Haney Door Service
Danny is great to work with, provided us a great price to install 2 new doors with windows. They installed them when we needed them in somewhat short notice. We provided our own motors and they installed them no problem, they actually installed a third motor on our new detached garage that already had a door installed by the builder. We are very satisfied that we used Haney Door.

    1A Garage Doors
I contacted 1A Garage Door after seeing a special for a tuneup. The person taking the call was very professional and arranged for a same day service. Andrea arrived on time, courteous and professional, and began the tuneup on the door that was sticking. He took the time to explain how I can maintain the door in the future. He even resolved an electrical issue that was causing my door from closing all the time. No attempt was made to upsell me. Thanks Andrea for your expertise! I highly recommend this company.

    Garage Door Repair
We had an Angie's List coupon for garage door repair, and Sac's Garage Door Repair has an A rating with Angie's. A man named Adrian completed the repair and charged us $129 over the coupon amount, which seemed high. He also said we needed new springs on both doors. We produced a receipt showing that we'd had new springs installed in 2014, and then he said the springs were old based on dates. He said the springs showed dates of 2005 and 2011. We assumed that meant the first company had not replaced our springs, or replaced them with used ones. That is not true. We now know there are no dates on garage door springs. We feel he was either incompetent or lying to us in order to get us to buy springs unnecessarily. Would never hire again based on that.

Contractor came on the same day I placed the order. Was professional and polite. Fixed my double-door in less than one hour.  Door has been working silently and flawlessly for a month now. He included a 4-year warranty. I recommend 1A Advanced Garage Doors without hesitation. If your door works fine but is noisy, installing new silent rollers will make a huge difference. I would call them just for that service.

    Rocklin Overhead Door & Gate
The initial consultation was great.  Matt is very enthusiastic about his work, but his follow through is a bit lack luster.  Their first job was to replace our three aging garage door openers with new LiftMaster openers.  I'm no expert, but I think they did a great job with this install.  Later I realized that they added the new door sensors to the rails, but didn't remove the old ones so I now have two sets of electronic eyes on each garage door--I'm not impressed.  Their next job was to paint the garage doors as they had become faded.  Matt painted them himself and did a good job, even replacing some of the carriage door components.  However, when you look close at the paint job, I believe more care could have been taken to not get paint on our stucco.  The paint job had to be rescheduled a few times because of rain and their remodeling project that was clearly taking precedence over our job.  Every time I talked to Matt, his excuse was always that he can't find any good guys to work on both the remodel and his overhead door/gate business.  When it came to replacing our gate opener, I knew that it would be more expensive than I was anticipating, but he estimated a $750.00 install, then revised it to $900.00; only to find out that it would be closer to $1,300.00.  I was okay with it as the previous gate opener was obviously installed incorrectly and was not a reputable brand.  I very much stressed that, because of our pool, Placer County code requires us to have a self-closing gate that closes within 1 minute and latched correctly; he seemed to understand saying that they could use our already installed latch.  When it came time to install, I was surprised that they used some hardware that came with the old opener and they did NOT hook up the latch.  When I spoke to Matt, he assured me that they would get a latch for the gate, but that the previous latch would not work with the new opener--NEWS TO ME as I was relying on his gate expertise.  To this day, we still do not have a working latch on that drive-through gate.
At the time of the garage door painting, I asked Matt to give me a quote to install a man gate that I had already purchased.  He quoted me $150.00 and that as long as the hardware was where he left it and the gate was put in place, he would have an employee come by, set the post, hang the gate and install the hardware.  This didn't happen until an event over four months later that required that gate to be installed.  I called once again to get that man gate installed and when his employee did come to install it, he installed it backward even though I clearly chalked the proposed swing on the ground.  Now only two days until our event, I demanded that he come back and re-set the gate.  The gate was eventually hung with the correct swing in time for our event.  I was hoping to use his company for a major front entry gate project that we are working on for this Spring, but don't think so.
I think the kicker is that I needed a new keypad installed for the new garage door openers.  He assured me numerous times that he would send someone by to drill into our stucco and secure it to the wall.  The last time I spoke to him, he told me that they had taken care of it, but when I checked that evening, it was still hanging by the one screw I had attached it with.
Oh, and by the way--when the man gate WAS eventually installed, I received a bill for $250.00, not $150.00.  I then received a $100.00 credit for the late install.

    Abel Garage Door
He's done this a million times before. It went like clockwork, fast, clean, left nothing undone. Greg is a true business man and runs his business as such. He was very busy over the holidays but was able to get my work in nonetheless. He used the phone to communicate exact timing he would arrive and he was about 10 minutes early. He explains his work, he doesn't try to upsell just because most people know nothing about garage doors. I can't imagine getting a better or faster job done by another company. Most had their holiday phone messages on then didn't return messages. Greg either answers his phone or returns calls immediately when he is free. Greg is no hassle, no delay, good pricing and he knows his job 100%. Highly recommended.

    24x7 Pro Service Garage Doors
I had paid for two garage door tune-ups.  No problem getting the appt.
and he showed up on time.  He said the springs needed to be replaced,
which made sense since they were all 13 years old.  The concern came
with the cost.  First he handed me a price sheet with very different
prices based on warranty length.  Basically nothing more than extended
warranties, which are usually of dubious value.  I balked at the costs,
which were well over $200 per spring.  He called the owner/mgr and
started haggling with me.  Very uncomfortable.  Seemed a bit shady to
me. He offered $499 for all three springs with a 5 yr warranty.  He was
on the phone right there and I just wanted it done, so I agreed.  Now
I've done a little research on costs and have to wonder if I paid too
much. I know they're good quality American steel springs, as opposed to
cheap Chinese, but according to many people on the web, I could have
gotten the whole thing done for far less.  I wish I felt more confidence
in this encounter with Angie's List.  I would appreciate feedback, from the company, Angie's, and other customers.

    Eudy Door Co
Showed up on time and did a great job.  Our home was already wired for the missing garage door opener so the technician had to figure out first what wires were for what and then climb up in the attic to tie into them.  Overall we ended up with a very nice installation.

    24x7 Pro Service Garage Doors
After having several dealings with other garage door companies over several years it was great to deal with an Honest company with an Outstanding service tech named Aaron. He actually showed up a little early which was great for me after calling ahead for permission. Aaron by far was the most skilled and personable tech that I have dealt with inregards to working on or fixing a problem with my garage doors. No hard selling to get me to buy expensive not necessary items but politely pointing out several minor issues that may need addressing in future. This was my first dealing with 24x7 Garage Door Company and I Highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again should the need arise. 24x7 Kudos to you and your great service tech Aaron. It was a pleasure doing business with your company!
