"Everything was perfect - appts. as scheduled - right on time - measuring, selection went smoothly - plenty of time to compare options. Mirrors cleaned when frames attached - they look terrific! I had used them in a previous home and knew what to expect! Can't say enough good things about them!

"The job was huge at my newly bought home. The 2 men,
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
worked harder than anyone could ask for. They are very punctual and always let me know the schedule. They are very honest.
I can't say enough of how they took so much stress off of my shoulders as they were able to tackle any problem that arose from a renovation of the complete home. There were many problems from previous owners who did DIY things that were very bad.
They men were always polite and always asked me what I wanted before doing a task or making changes.
They do very good work. They are very clean and neat.
Next time I need a carpenter team I will be calling
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
. They are the best.

"My initial experience with Enna when I first called to set up an appointment was very professional and pleasant. We set up an appointment to meet with
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
, the GC, within 2 weeks of the call.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
was professional, listened well to what we had in mind, augmented these visions with his own excellent design ideas, and made us feel very confident at the first meeting that Horizon was likely the best choice for us. After meeting with several other GCs over the next few weeks, Horizon was in our top 3 finalists, and we made the choice to move forward with them based on our feelings of confidence that they really understood what we wanted to do. Horizon was not the lowest bidder, nor were they the highest.
After confirming with
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
our choice to move forward with Horizon, we met with him again to go over in more detail the project scope and timeline and to sign paperwork for the plan development. The initial project timeline was identified as 10-12 weeks. Soon after this meeting, he swiftly had plans drawn up for the architectural changes to our kitchen and living room and submitted them for approval. Expecting approval to take several weeks,
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
suggested we start working on the master bathroom remodel so as not to
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
momentum. During Master Bath demolition,
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
identified some unanticipated framing work after the walls were stripped. Although I was not expecting this, we compromised on the cost of addressing this work, which set the
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
for addressing unexpected work going forward. Work on the Master Bath went longer than expected based on some changes to scope as well as some permit hang-ups, but the finished product was exactly what we wanted.
Approval of the Kitchen\Living Room plans came back quicker than expected (in a few days as opposed to weeks), and work on the kitchen and living room commenced and ran concurrent with the work on the master bathroom. This work involved removing walls between the galley kitchen, the den/4th bedroom, the living room and the dining area with the ultimate design goal being a great room spanning all of these areas. Due to removing load-bearing walls, support beams had to be installed in the attic and 6 foot deep underpinnings had to be dug and placed in a several areas. Although the inside of our house was unrecognizable, the work proceeded on schedule for the most part. During the project, we did make some adjustments to overall scope (not changing planned work, just adding new work to overall scope, e.g., originally we had no intention of touching the fireplace, or any of the bedrooms; we made some decisions midstream to have Horizon redo the fireplace and floor and paint all of the bedrooms based upon design ideas from
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
). Change management on these items (and other items) was handled well by Enna. After the Master Bathroom completed, Horizon started on the guest bathroom remodel, which involved the following:

Removal of HVAC unit from closet adjacent to the bathroom.
Demolition of walls between HVAC closet, bathroom, and adjacent coat closet.
Installation of new HVAC unit in the attic.
Utilizing the square footage from the HVAC closet and the coat closet effectively doubled the square footage of the guest bathroom allowing us to convert it into a full bath with double vanity (from a ¾ bath). This was the last aspect of the project to complete.Considering that we lived in the house through the project (with the exception of 3 non-continuous weeks for vacation), we were eager to see the project complete, and we are extremely happy with the results. Horizon saw the vision we had for transforming the interior of our 55 year old ranch style house into something more modern and beautiful, and they executed on it.
The only negative thing I feel compelled to note is that the crew was not considerate about keeping the work site clean: Paint brushes were rinsed out in the plants in the front yard; razors, cuttings from wood, discarded pieces of wire, food wrappings, etc continually littered my front yard and driveway. I asked
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and Enna to address with their crew at least two times, however it didn’t fix the situation and I ultimately ended up cleaning up after the crew. This may seem
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
or perhaps I am naïve about a project of this magnitude, but it made me feel disrespected as a customer for my concerns about this to go effectively ignored.
Lastly I have to say that,
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
(
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
, Enna and their whole crew) we're extremely friendly and nice throughout the entirety of the project. Never once did I second guess my choice. By the end of the project, I still felt comfortable that we had made the best choice. Since the completion of the project, Horizon has cheerfully addressed any issues that have come up.

Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
explained the bids and all processes clearly and in easy to understand language. Now my husband understood all that went with home projects, but I didn't. So patient clear explanations given with a sense of humor were greatly appreciated. Start times and delivery of materials were honored. The projects, when done, were sharp and attractive complimenting our home. The projects gave added value. It's enjoyable to work with a company whose people work well as a team. They exhibited a strong work ethic.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
conducted themselves professionally. The work site was left clean at the end of the day and when completed the work area looked better than it did in the beginning. We will definitely ask them for their help on our future projects.

Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
has a very good eye for design, and of all contractors we reviewed, came up with the best design for efficient use of space. His company also provided the most professionally prepared proposal, which clearly listed all the components of the remodel, broken down by cost. He and his co-worker Nick were always professional and polite, and were very respectful of all our personal property. The subcontractors that
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
used for plumbing and electric were clearly very experienced. We are really pleased with the work that was done, and with our overall experience with
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
Construction.

"I first contacted Mr.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
in March, 2013 and he was very prompt in setting up a time and then coming to my home in order to give me an estimate in getting a complete bathroom remodel done. I had been working with another company and had started to get uneasy about the way the job was going on the remodel of our house. The bathroom was the last room to be done.
Mr.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
is very gentlemanly and did his best to reassure me that the work I needed done would be handled in a manner that would take all of the stress I had been experiencing with the previous company off my shoulders so I "signed on the dotted line" once I received the estimate --- one that was quite a bit lower than the other I got.
However, once we set up a day to begin work things began to go a bit downhill. There was a delay of about a week in the start date as the job ahead of me took longer than expected which wasn't that big of a problem but later, it became apparent that that time should have been used to have the electrician come out to do the rough in for the changes that needed to be made. He wasn't called in until the new dry wall was put in, making it necessary to open the new wall back up and doing a lot of patch work.
The plumber that they had lined up to install the sinks, toilet and tub got backed up at another job and was not able to come when needed so they had one of the on site workers who had plumbing experience do the work. Although I agreed to this (bad decision made under the stress of 4 months of remodeling) the end result was 1) hot and cold water facets being reversed 2) a toilet that doesn't flush properly and 3) a faucet that still leaks under the vanity ten months after the job was complete.
The back splash tile in the laundry room was never grouted and was installed so poorly that the backing paper stuck out on the edges of the work. I ended up ripping it out and redoing it. The protective plastic that was on the laundry room sink was never removed so I had to use a pair of tweezers to get it off in front of the faucet (which also was never tightened down and leaked)
These are but a few of the problems I experienced.
Mr
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
does get glowing reviews on his southern manners and demeanor, and seems to also have lots of people satisfied with his work. I do not know what happened with my job. I will end this review with a copy of a letter that I sent to his office manager. Their response was quite sympathetic and they did send someone out to try to fix the problems. The bathroom faucet, however, is still not able to be used as it is still leaking under the sink.
** additional information. The last contact that I had with Mr.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
was in January, just before I was to leave out of town for two weeks. At that time he assured me that he would be out to repair/replace the faucet in the bathroom before I left. That was over a month ago and I still have not heard back from him.

, his brothers
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and their crews have been and are currently
working for me on a home addition and remodel. They do fantastic brick, stone and stucco work. Their crews show up on time, work weekends, and actually stay all day.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
, stops by frequently to check on the workers, is and has been VERY responsive to all my questions & ideas (there have been many) and most of all he is very patient. His pricing has been fair and work is completed on schedule.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and his brothers are great to help out with your ideas and very honest in their opinions if they don't think your ideas will work or look good, but they also offer alternatives. I highly recommend
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
to anyone needing masonry, framing, flooring, handyman, guttering, etc. They really are a one stop shop for most of your remodel/addition needs.

"The process went smooth without any problems. He provided suggestions on how to better configure the room for the best layout and completed the project on time and on budget. I would highly recommend this contractor. He has been in the business over 30 years and knows what he is doing. He provided workers compensation certificate, proof of liability insurance and his Fed. ID number. Very professional contractor."

"Perfect. On time with each appointment, and the delivery and install happened in the time promised. Personnel was fantastic too, with courteous and friendly service. And the product is awesome!! "

"Be very careful with this contractor and make sure to read the complaints carefully. At first
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
was great.. very responsive and detail oriented. He responded to my call and gave me an estimate quickly. He was more expensive than others, but I liked his attention to detail and responsiveness.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
texted me repeatedly with questions and I was hopeful. The project started well with what i assume was his "A" team who did really nice drywall install. Then the "B" team, I assume, came in and the quality dropped considerably. Further,
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
seemed to want his guys to take short cuts such as not connecting the ceiling to the walls (leaving a gap through which cold air came in) since I was putting up crown mold. At one point his guy
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
noticed some of the poor quality of the work by the B team. I mentioned this to
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
, who, thinking I was not nearby, called
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
and it sounded like berated him for saying anything negative. the B team left a huge gap between the ceiling and the drywall on the wall. Anyhow, the drywall was installed and I was told that I could paint it since it was done. Using the text communication that
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
initiated, I texted the following "Upon putting up more paint colors we are finding drywall screw heads. Lrge bumps. I think you need to inspect it. Quality of work really different in different parts of room...." and I asked about drywalling the ceiling since
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
's attempts to make my plaster ceiling look nice had failed. Here is the unexpected reply verbatim "Will do touch ups (which z OFTEN DONE NO MATTR WT ANY1 TELLS U!) On fri. Morn. then u cn get sum1 else 2 finish trim! N keep the rest of $. U R OBVIOUSLY Kind of person thats NEVR
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
2 b satisfied! Good
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
with
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
3rd,4th..Contractor." I made the MISTAKE of paying 1/2 the job up front ($2300 of $4600). The whole job included hanging doors, all the trim, drywall in the hall way, hanging a pocket door etc. So I got some framing done, plus drywall that is poorly done.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
's guys did remove debris and hung a mantle not in the contract, but refused to patch a few wall scratches on the walls (some that they had created). I hired a plaster guy to fix the ceiling and a major wall bump for $850 and those things looks great now. But I still have 2 walls that have very crooked
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
lines . I asked
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
to refund my money or at least a portion so I can hire another person to fix it... his response "I don't TEXT." I am sure
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
will have some blaming reply to my description here. Yes, I did part ways with another contractor on this job who failed to show up for 2 weeks and would not give me a solid price.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
at least did that. That said, I have had the same plumber and electrician for 14 years, the same roofer for 10, etc. I am only difficult and complain if you do crappy work and I am paying for it. In the end, let the pics tell the story. You can see what I was left with and will now have to pay others to fix.
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
had a gutted room to work with. They apparently did not
Long Beach Custom Frames Provider Name Locked
walls straight nor carefully create lines.. event on NEW walls they built! You can't blame the house when you built the wall (guessing this is what he'll say). And the worst part is that he simply will not take responsibility. I asked first for it to be fixed (only partially done) and then for a refund (I don't want him in my house anymore).
