    Fidelity General Contractors
Poorly, had to hire a contractor to fix costing over $5,000 to repair their mistakes. This guys are not only dishonest but are hacks. They abandoned the job and hit my credit card for a payment that was not due. It was supposed to be a "progress payment" after the city inspection of the plumbing. They did install and shower valve but it is having to be redone as it sticks out of the wall a lot. The reveal is meant to have about 1/8 to 1/4 inch, It is over 3 inches. The guy gave me some lip on the phone and took them 3 days to return my calls. This outfit also did a poor job of installing the fan fixture. Bent a new box and anchors it outside the drywall with screws into the drywall and not the framing. The sub they sent out was not qualified to install the shower/tub walls. How did I find this out? He asked if I knew someone that could install them and he would pay because he did not know how to install the Kohler Choreograph system. I sent him a instruction video Sam, who sold the job, said, Sure we know what we are doing. Not so. I had to get the pocket door corrected after they jacked it up. Chipped the door with a router, Did not align the track right either. The door tack needed proper shimming. I did not hire a contractor before these village idiots. They claimed it was a family owned and run business but they only sell the job and sub it out to someone else that is not able to work under his own contractor license for insurance reasons. We had to correct the box for the ceiling fan and light. We also needed to correct the pocket door, I have the new contractor that is cleaning up all the other work they did. The only thing this outfit is good for is demo. They can't do a decent job of putting the place back together. They need training

    New Life Bath And Kitchen
New Life performed above expectations.  They re-faced all of the kitchen cabinets (which included adding a lot of new moldings and finishing touches) and replaced all of the cabinet doors.  They also completely replaced all of the drawers in the kitchen.  We also had them remove a old oak box light set in the kitchen with a concave design and canned lighting.  After the project was complete, the space looked like it was a brand new designer kitchen. The price was very reasonable for the immense change that took place.  I would highly recommend them.

    Granite Transformations Ventura
They started a little later than I expected but finished in a timely manner. They also cut down my pantry and cabinet sliding drawers at no extra charge when we discovered that they didn't work with the new cabinet doors.

    W A Construction
I need to preference this by saying that the funds for renovation was done thru a loan from the municipal city I live in. The company had to be vetted by the city and that delayed the date I wanted him to start by 4 months. He started the job on time but he was two weeks late in finishing;he came in on budget. In the process, he went thru (fired) two different painters and still had to do repairs on their job. It took them two weeks to remove popcorn ceiling, prime all walls and paint. He informed me that he is now out contracting out for painting jobs. He contracted out for the flooring, however I had met that contractor when WA construction came in to give an estimate. Another of the delay was because the "click n lock" floor panels were not delivered on time. Then the floor contractor had to go on a family fishing trip. The cork floor manufacturer recommended newly laid floor should be coated with two coats of polyurethane to cover the Click N Lock seals. Both contractors pointed out that the panels already had three coats of polyurethane so I did not need the extra two coats (WRONG). I conceded because they were already late and I had been our of my house for 5 weeks. Research showed me that the time it would take for two coats of polyurethane to "cure" would be at least two weeks. I am sure they had other jobs lined up and I was anxious to get back into my condo-it had to be delivered empty for renovations. Now less than a year and two cats later, my floors are scratched- I could have used those extra protective coatings of polyurethane. As for WA construction's work: owner is attentive but he gave me an extra sink that was not on the worksheet and the paint job in some places had to be redone. The quality of appliances were cheap. I got two dishwashers-one did not work and the other had to have the repair man to fix the microchip. I am still finding minor things that need to be redone but I am not going thru the hassle of calling him back, the city required a a year guarantee on their work. They did clean the floors after they finished daily but I have gunk on my sink faucets that they did not get. Even though I was not there everyday to check on the work, I was around and he did respond to my request but he is not good for follow-thru especially once the job is finished. For example he was going to give me some cleaner for the faucets and did not return. All and all,he did an OK job.

    Reliable Repair Remodel
If there is something that I cannot do myself, I call him to help me finish with the job as he is reliable. He is always making helpful suggestions and offering his assistance. He charged me for the material and is very accommodating when it comes to labor costs. I will be calling him soon to put in the new drywall.

    Premier Care In Bathing
It took a while to get an estimator out but once they arrived the professionalism was obvious. Not high pressure sales, but high priced for the work. Paying on the upper end our expectations were high. The workers were well prepared and cared well for the home.
