Outstanding! We have been having problems with the A/C and were expecting to replace the unit. The technician cleaned and serviced the unit, and while not making any promises, stated he believed the system should function properly. Running great for several months now with no issues. When we are ready to replace, I will definitely use Air Authority. They have always been prompt, fair and knowledgeable!

My sweet grand daughter used this company and enjoyed the service so much that she referred them to me, l called and was scheduled for the next morning! Very prompt and thorough service. My technician Miguel was very polite and informative, would definitely recommend them to any one and will be using them again!

He did a superb job putting in a new heater for me and removing an old soft water. He gave a very good price and everything. They're perfect. They put in something over my tiles and they didn't hurt my tile. They took the old one out, used the vacuum cleaner, installed the new one and made sure it was working and we were very happy with it. They were very good people. The guy did a beautiful job. I can't complain about somebody like that.

Terrible company to do business with. They pressure you to sign with them by offering you $$ off their price which is double what it should be. They don't want you to get other estimates. aLWAYS get other estimates. This was done with the Atascadero office.

The first availability they had was 2 weeks out, but I took it. They gave me the options of numerous THREE (3) HOUR blocks of time. Guess they need to change their name. i was told I'd get a call when the day of the service about the tech's arrival time, I did not recieve that call.
The tech arrived and did the evaluation. I read their eval noise later that day after I got home: "bad bearing noise coming from inducer (sp) motor" "ignitor very week and needs to be replaced A.S.A.P." "return air duct too small for size of furnace" "Clean, Fresh, Healthy Air" check marked  NO. This had me concered, what wasn't clean or fresh or healthy and how much is this going to cost to tget it fixed?!? I called them the next day and I was told i would get a call back that day, guess what, no call.
I called back the next day, and the person who answered the phone didn't know what to do and was waiting for her supervisor. She asked if she could call me back, I agreed. When she called back she offered to have the tech come to the house in anothe THREE (3) HOUR block. Well it jsut so happens that it was my son-in-law's birthday and I didn't think we would be around the house during that time frame. Weekends are a bad time to schedule work at our home. She asked about a weekday, I explained I work in another city and I am not home before 5 pm.  I asked if the tech could come to talk to me at my office, she said NO they would have to come to the home. they do perform service in the town I work in as well.  I asked if the tech could give me a call, she said NO they are in the field they have to come to the home. Really you can't make a phone call. I asked if there is some else who could call me, she said no the tech would have to come to your home. I got the distinct impression, IMHO, they just didn't want to help me , so I said, words to the effect of  'well I guess I'll just throw this away and go somewhere else.'
The bill is marked "TOTAL AMOUNT DUE $0" that is about the value I'd place on this service, we will see if I get a bill in the mail.
I am relly sorry I didn't check Angies List first!

I arranged with a representative at Costco in Santa Maria, Ca to have the Atascadero, CA office call me to set up an appointment for their $59 maintenance inspection. I said I wanted to have the furnace serviced & also said I also wanted to get an estimate for a new furnace. I was told that they would send a senior technician who could do both. The technician arrived on time. He was pleasant & said that there was a part that should be replaced for $125. I said that I couldn't see replacing a part in a 32 year old furnace. Then I asked him for an estimate for a new furnace. He hadn't been informed of that & called the office. They tried to get hold of someone to come give an estimate but there wasn't anyone within a couple of hours so another time had to be set up. That was a real inconvenience as I made a specific request to have both done at the same appointment. They did send a Senior Technician but he wasn't authorized to give me an estimate. ( The technician tried to sell me a maintenance agreement for $14.99/month which included Ben Franklin Plumbing draining my water heater once a year & a maintenance inspection of the furnace. That's about $180/year. That's not much of a deal.). I declined.
I was told the estimate appointment would take 90 minutes which I questioned. Why so long just to give me an estimate when their tech already knew what kind of furnace I had. The same technician & a comfort advisor arrived on time. I was given a long presentation, pages flipped in binders, shown certificates & told about guarantees, etc. that to me, are virtually worthless for a brand new furnace that should last 30 years. The comfort advisor was equivalent to a "closer" attempting to close a deal with lots of pressure AND refused to give me a written estimate. I had to make notes of prices after he said he couldn't give me an estimate because they didn't want their prices "out there." I was told if I signed today I could have furnace installed Monday and they would give me $500 off. The pressure was extreme to sign then & he also tried to sell me the maintenance plan. I said that I didn't do business that way. I couldn't believe his refusal to give me a written estimate. He also used Costco's reputation as a basis for One Hour being reputable or Costco wouldn't partner with them. They also partner with Home Depot, Lowes & were working on areal with Orchard Supply, so BEWARE! Their estimate for a basic replacement furnace was TWO & A HALF TIMES what I paid with a local contractor, Belluz Heating & Air Conditioning in Lompoc, who I highly recommend. Get at least a couple of estimates when having something like this done so you know if the pricing is fair or highway robbery. Do not fall for pressure sales.

Greg called me back promptly and we set up a time for an estimate. He arrived on time, inspected the old furnace and verbally gave me his estimate. A few days later I received a formal contract/estimate in the mail. His price was by far very reasonable as I had gotten estimate previously from One Hour Heating and Air which was more than double Greg's price and they (One Hour) refused to give me a written estimate. (Read my One Hour Heating and Air Review). Installation date was set and Greg and his assistant arrived promptly. Work was done quickly with old furnace hauled away. What impressed me was that Greg didn't try to sell me any extra equipment or services, he was professional and on time. He doesn't spend money on advertising but you will find him in the yellow pages. He came highly recommended by a local contractor who has done fantastic work for me. I highly recommend Belluz Heating and Air Conditioning without reservation.

I was referred to Valentine through a home warranty claim. After a previous nightmare experience with another HVAC company, I was ready to have to fight over every little detail and wait until the 6th try for the job to be done right. Valentine was just the opposite. Dave was friendly, prompt, and clearly knew what he was doing. He had great advice on what to expect from the warranty company, and went out of his way to explain some best and worst case scenarios. The parts came in, he and an assistant showed up on time, finished ahead of schedule, cleaned up everything, and I haven't had a single issue since. Easily the best service company I've dealt with since we bought our house, I'd call them again without reservation, especially if I'm paying out of pocket.

Our old air conditioner was leaking freon and we had to have it filled every couple months. We knew we had to get a new unit but they are so expensive so we put it off as long as possible. We got 2 estimates and Tim's was the better of the 2. They were eager to please and did a good job. They gave us a free digital thermostat for choosing their company. I really like it as it lights up so I don't have to use a flashlight in the middle of the night. There was a problem with the compressor so they came back and replaced it at no charge. Follow up: I am still upset at the attitude of this man who was so nice in the beginning. My husband was very ill at the time and was lying in the living room on the sofa. He has since passed away, but that man was so angry with us because the a/c unit was freezing up and yanked the covers off the vents and was yelling at us about wasting his time and would charge us $600 if we called him again. My brother in law and family were visiting from MD and luckily he owns an a/c business and told this man to check something in the unit with a meter. It was that simple part and not the compressor outside that was the problem. Their mistake at the time of instillation. It upset my terminally ill husband and all of us so much. He didn't apologize. That unit was $4000 and under warranty. Very uncalled for.
