See my note above.  The contractor early told me he would only be 5 minutes away and should be able to make the appointment at 6:00pm without difficulty.  We have not moved into the house since we needed a total kitchen remodel, plus floors.  We had to come from 40 miles away to meet the appointment - only to be greeted with a note at our front door.
It was difficult to set an appointment time, yet the time they set was not met.  Perhaps there were other extenuating circumstances, but if an appointment is taken so lightly, how could I be confident that 1) the estimate would be reliable, and 2) that the job would be finished on time?  The son apologized and asked me to call the office to set up another appointment.  No thank you, and it's a good thing I didn't purchase the Kitchen Cabinet offer.

    Honeywill Construction
It was a good experience in regards to what I've heard about kitchen remodeling. The process took just on three weeks to complete. Each part of the process was explained to me and finished according to plan. There were two small hiccups along the way, one - the floor tile was not delivered on time (however, that was not because of Honeywill, but rather those whom I bought the tile from), and two - the refrigerator was too big and needed to be changed out for a counter depth refrigerator. Honeywill came back a week later and installed the new fridge without charging me any extra. The changes took a little more time, but the process was smooth, and there were things that just happened without them even being asked to do. Each team member put in a lot of good hard work to make my kitchen beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, as well as practical and appropriate for the space it was in. I'm so pleased to have found Honeywill Construction. After sifting through many construction companies, they were the most reasonable for what I wanted done, the most friendly, and Christian. I would certainly recommend them to anyone that wants their house remodeled.

Majid of Sage Interiors provided a timely quote for services, and in the end, the final price was the same except for upgrades that I requested in the middle of the remodel.  His quote was about 10-20% less than a couple other contractors' quotes.

Majid is very pleasant to work with and has lots of experience in his trade.  His specialty is cabinet making.  I decided against doing a full cabinet overhaul, since my current cabinets where in mostly in good shape.  His prices for new cabinets seemed great.  He did rebuild a couple of my cabinets due to water damage, and they are a seamless match.

I requested a short timeline of the remodel, which Majid was able to accomplish.  He was even ahead of schedule, set to complete the remodel in less than 10 days.

There were a couple instances where his subcontractors work was less than I expected (primarily due to color of paint and granite not being exactly what I requested).  Majid recognized my dissatisfaction and ordered the work to be reaccomplished, even though he lost a lot of money to keep me happy.  In the end, this put him behind schedule, but I was happy to wait to get exactly what I wanted.  He even threw in some freebie touchups at the end.

    Clyde's Plumbing & Drain
The job had many unforseen difficulties, but Clyde was always willing to be flexible and please me as the customer. The only reason why I gave a B on responsiveness was because it was hard to get a hold of him at the end of the job. Even so, every time I talked to him he was pleasant, and VERY reasonable on the price. His crew was also very polite and accomodating.

The job did take longer than expected (hence the B on punctuality) but like I said it was a very difficult job on an old home. They did a lot of work for an extremely reasonable price.

Cabinets:  It was a long process with multiple delays.  When they first came and inspected the cabinets -> too many were damaged or built wrong that they had replacements ordered -> several more weeks delay AFTER the kitchen was already demolished and ready to go.  Once done they were very professional.  Installed a soffit to match our current ceiling.  Installed upper/lower cabinets and an island.  Put in a new gas line to the new island as well.  They had someone else do the electrical for them (new 220V outlet and to the island).  Very nice and pleasant to work with.  John is very talkative and friendly!  Some minor concerns noted -> not securing well enough some cabinet faceplates and kickboards (this would mean quality was B in my opinion) -> they came back very next day after I noticed that and fixed the problem immediately -> A for quality as they stood behind their work and came back without question to make it right.  Great work ethic!

Dry wall:  John was cheapest of 3 estimates for repairing dry wall in our entire house (after partial re-wiring done), reason for B on pricing off course is due to the Lowes markup -> he took his time, final product was nice and level with the walls.  Unfortunately he didn't have time for placing matching texturing -> this was not an issue as the time deadline was from me and he didn't have a choice but to stop when he did.  The texturing regardless was easily done by me after buying several cans of spray texture from the home improvement store and practicing first on some old boards and everything was done in time for the painters.

Stucco: Outside near our electrical panel -> OK, didn't match as well with existing stucco as I would have liked, but I suspect once painted even be noticeable.  Done solidly with several levels as expected.

Thanks for a great job and your professionalism!.

Birdsall Construction & Remodeling & Plumbing
I had Jim come and give me an estimate for installing a tub and tile around it as the last step in my bathroom remodel. He gave me a very fair price so I hired him. When and his crew arrived to start the job, Jim noticed a defect on the tile I had purchased which meant the job had to be put on hold until I could get new tile. Not to worry- Jim went to the tile broker and sorted things out for me! He spent his own time and went above and beyond what I had hired him to do. As soon as the new tile was delivered Jim and his guys went to work and did a great job. I would definitely recommend Jim to anyone. He is a true professional and does great work, even when he is losing money on a job because of factors outside his control. The bathroom looks great! Thanks Jim!
