    A Better Choice Painting

After I purchased the exterior painting deal, I was contacted fairly quickly to schedule the visit to estimate the scope of the work. A couple of very nice estimators came out to the house (on time) and we walked the perimeter of the house, discussing what needed to be done. There was a lot of peeling on the wood that needed to be addressed, and I was assured that what the pressure washing couldn't get off, the crew would scrape off as needed. They asked if I wanted the vents on the vents on the roof painted as well, and I did. I was told I'd be contacted soon to schedule the painting.

A few weeks went by and I hadn't heard from the painters. It started getting cooler outside and I was getting worried that it was going to be too cold to paint the house, so I called and left a message as well as sent an email through Angie's List to the painters. I was contacted pretty quickly after that and was told that they had sent me an email but it must have not gotten to me. But they were ready to schedule the work immediately.

A man came out to power wash the house and then the house was left to dry out a couple days before the painting commenced. A lot of the old peeling paint came off.

There was some confusion as to where I should buy the paint, but on the day the crew arrived, we got that all cleared up. As they prepped the house with tape and plastic sheets, I went out to buy paint. We used the Kelly-Moore brand, which is really good paint. I got the Acry-Shield Premium paint, which feels really good to the touch and will last. They sprayed the trim first, then the walls, and finally the door. It took them two days to complete the job, with the majority of the work on the first day and then final touch-ups on the second day.

I had to pay extra for the additional square footage and the painting of the vents on the roof and the extra garage door and trim, because they were beyond the scope of the original offer.

The house looks beautiful! We have a gorgeous red door!

    CNR Construction Co
This Contractor was outstanding, listening to what I wanted and making an effort to complete what I wanted. He pointed out to me black mold and fixed that right away. I would tell the world about this company.

We have worked with him before. They are meticulous and detailed oriented. They take care of your home by covering everything thin and cleaning better then it was before. They are very professional, overall they are top notch. They go above and beyond be doing little things that were not asked of them.

    American Ace Handyman
The service was superb! He is a retired developer who decided to open up a handyman business so he is highly skilled. We were fixing up a rental and he came along and knew exactly what to do. He was reasonable and fair which was appreciated.

My backyard is now almost complete and I LOVE it!!! There is NOTHING this man CANNOT do, his catch phrase is "piece of cake" He is always ALWAYS punctual and his prices are unbeatable. Honestly from my heart this man is my go-to-guy He is the hardest working man and always ALWAYS makes sure the that I am 100% happy. Tony Canton Painting
For this most recent project, I hired Tony in connection with a minor interior painting job at our local public library. He had previously done the entire exterior of our house a couple years ago, and prior to that some painting in connection with our kitchen remodel. In every event, the job met our highest expectations and then some. The exterior paint job on our house was especially outstanding. Tony gets all of our future painting business, whatever and wherever it might be.

    Powers Interior Contracting
Joe began working on Monday and predicted that he would finish on Thursday.  There were quite a few glitches that were out of his
control; for example, missing hardware from the closet pack that was sold to us or the broken light fixture that was purchased.  He was
very professional, apologized for the setbacks and had to make several trips back to Home Depot and Lowe's.  He was very committed to finishing the job to my standards no matter how much time it took.  He was not about to rush the job even though he had the setbacks.

He kept me informed and involved in minor decisions involving his work.  He was very respectful of my family and our space as we were
here in the house while he was working.

I will definitely be calling Joe when the next job comes along.

I highly recommend Joe to others who need work done in their home.  You won't be disappointed.

I contacted J H Morrow in regards to having some general work done in my home.  He asked for details of the work needed over the phone and wanted to give me a "ballpark" estimate prior to traveling to my home.  When I asked if he gives free estimates, his response was "yes and no."  He stated it costs him in fuel and time to come and give an estimate in person so he would rather give an initial estimate over the phone before coming to my home.  When I asked him to clarify if I agreed to his "ballpark" estimate and wanted him to come to my home to look at the actual work, would he charge me for the in-person estimate, his response was "You don't understand what I am saying to you" in a very rude tone and then he proceeded to hang up the phone.  Customer service is greatly lacking!  It is standard practice to offer free in-person estimates for general contracting and I felt he was giving me the run-around.

They were great. They were professional and very pleasant to be around. They were very conscientious and took the time to make sure everything was perfect. They were worked well with one another and I trusted they were honest and doing great work. We conferenced together regularly and the lines of communication were always open.
