    LAR Construction & Remodeling
Tom converted the loft at our house into a full bedroom with a full bathroom at our house including the replacement of our patio door and few other remodeling projects. His team of people delivered a top notch workmanship. Everyone worked each day and Tom did a great supervision work handling all the people at the house. The main and most important thing was to match the exterior wall texture and paint and Tom was able to do that perfectly. The office staff was able to handle all the permits and all the invoicing including the deliveries of all the materials. Tom was also managed all the HOA approval procedures and he made this remodeling project as easy as possible for us.

    Phil'S Handyman Service
Phil is an expert in just about  anything involving construction and repairs. He was on-time, courteous and quoted a fair price up front.  Phil discovered that the studs in our garage were not where the instructions said they would be and he knew how to make the proper adjustments to put the screws in the correct places.  He was clean, careful and efficient.  He made creative suggestions about how the rack should be oriented.  Phil has a background in construction and a wealth of knowledge about how things work. He's also installed ceiling fans for us in the past and has fixed many other items in our house. His prices are reasonable and you don't pay until he's finished.  He's professional, returns your calls and texts, and is easy to work with.  I recommend him highly.

    MERITAGE HOMES
It was a nightmare. I had to go there to pick out my flooring, cabinets and everything. They could not do it on the weekends. She told me that I could not change the direction of the floor. I told her that I wanted east to west down the hallway and north and south in my dining room and down the hallway to my bedroom. She told me that I could not do that. They charged me an extra $500 to change the direction. I had to tell her that this is my house and this is what I want. I extremely happy with it and it is perfect. I would never buy a house from them again. When we went into the model they had a stone wall in the dining room and a wine cooler in the wall of the hallway and we told them that we wanted that and they said it was not an option. The framing was not an option and they had put the sprinklers in the house wrong and I had to have the fire department come out and fix it. I had put down a $160,000 deposit and if I had backed out of the deal, they would have kept it, so I had to go with them. My upgrade for the better cabinets was $40,000. They show a beautiful home and after you put your money down, then they start telling you everything that you cannot have. I had to fight for everything. I love my house, I would never buy Viking appliances again. I would never use them again.

    Adriatic Builders
After interviewing eight general contractors and builders, collecting quotes, driving by properties, and comparing references we regret to say we selected another contractors team for our home project. All the contractors and builders we interviewed were found on Angie's List - a truly awesome group. The choice was difficult as everyone brought excellence.
We would consider Adriatic Builders again for this home in Livermore or other projects in the Bay Area.

    G R Dahl Construction
In one short sentence, Greg Dahl is terrific! We found him by chance from a cabinet contractor we had hired to do the cabinet work on our kitchen remodel. The two of them have worked together for years, and he highly recommended Greg. We had met several general contractors but they all came with issues - they didn't call back, didn't follow through on their promises, or just didn't click with us. We called Greg and felt good about him immediately. So we hired him to work on our remodel. Greg and his right hand man Rich always do exactly what they say, they are very punctual, very responsive and very helpful. And the quality of their work is excellent. They also clean up at the end of each day, which must be hard when they are tired and ready to go home - but they leave the house immaculate when they leave. Greg actually answers his phone (uncommon amongst contractors) and when he can't, he gets back to us very promptly. It's obvious that Greg really cares about the work that he does and the clients he serves. He wants us to be happy and does everything in his power to make sure that happens. We feel really fortunate that we found him and would recommend him to anyone.

    BAR IN THE WOODS CONSTRUCTION
The contractor’s name is Barry Emerick. This contractor was recommended by a gentleman we bought our materials from who had used him before for his own home. He has just one of the best work ethic, communication and everything. He is finishing up the steel course now. Charges vary based on the type of work. He is a general contractor and he does everything. For any major electrical course, he recommends an electrician, but otherwise he is a licensed general contractor and can do a little about everything. He is nice, thorough, a great communicator, and there are no surprises whatsoever. He is honest, hard working, on time and cleans up. I just can’t speak highly enough of him. I would give him the highest rating possible. He really is an all round great guy. I think the pricing is extremely reasonable in comparison to some of the other estimates that we received for the same job. The pricing is not low ball, but not high. The quality of work is very good and if there is any additional work that needs to be done during the job, he stops what he is doing, he talks to us and lets us know what needs to done and seeks our approval before anything is done on the new stuff. In construction, sometimes we find things that we don’t anticipate. He is very good about communicating, physically showing us what the problem is and gives his recommendation. He is not a high pressure guy where he insists that it has to be done or else. He insists on punctuality and if he says he is going to be here at a certain time, he will.

    Eagle Renovations
Dennis lived on site, with a trip home, during the construction. The site was located on the North Coast and the weather co-operated until the end, when it was questionable whether the exterior painting would be finished before the rain came, it was, barely.

He took pictures each phase/day from 3 different angles and than put them on to 2 CD's which he gave to me. He has an excellent eye for details and knows the codes.

He came across unexpected dry rot, scorpions, carpenter ants and wasp nests, all of which he took in stride. Each day was carefully planned and executed and the construction went smoothly. He had a limited visa card at the local building supply store where he could order the materials he needed, to be delivered or picked up. He is very careful in his ordering and there was very minimal overage, a few 2x4s, 3 panels of sheet rock and a couple of bundles of insulation (which were returned). He stacked the demo material neatly into three piles to make it easier to remove.

He listened to my requests and we worked out the details for the closet, windows, outlets, porch and doors.

I would definitely hire him again for any project.
