    Update: After posting the review below, the owner call (Eli), who initially took a very defensive position and question why I didn't just call the office when I had and issue, I told him that I didn't have the time to chase this and that his employee should represent his company.  By the end of the call, he assured me that he would personally take care of my request and the project if a agreed to remove the post.  I thought that was a nice gesture and he sounded sincere, so I removed the posted and he sent me the estimate.  After reviewing the estimate, I responded back with a request to reduce the scope and ask for a revised estimate.  After no word for a week, I sent Eli an e-mail asking for an update.  He replied with "It will take awhile.....".  It's simple subtraction...How long could it take.  I waited another week, and still no word.  If this is the way that he "personally takes care" of his customers, then I want nothing to do with them.  Beware of the nice words, but no action or follow through with company.

    We recently moved into a new house and wanted to replace our

    fireplace, build a few custom 'built-in' cabinets and add a utility sink in the

    laundry room.  They arrived on May 4th as planned.  I walked Moran

    and another guy through our detailed list of requested changes.  He took

    measurements and asked a bunch of questions.  So far, so good.

     Before Moran left, he indicated that he would provide the estimate by the

    end of the week (5/8).  The end of the week and went and no word.  I

    let it go until May 15th and then I called Moran and left a v-mail asking for

    an update.  It's now May 25th and still no word.  

    I rely heavily on reviews and references before I more

    forward with any work.  These guys have good reviews, but it's unfortunate

    that their responsiveness and customer service in my case was so poor,

    especially because once I find someone that does good  work, I tend

    to use them over and over again and provide them as a reference to all of my

    friends.

    When I set the appointment he said it would be two people and that they would clean and inspect the chimney for $195 plus I have a 15% discount coupon which would have made it $166.  He arrived late by a half hour...no problem to me.  He was alone.  He said he didn't have time to clean the chimney but would inspect it for  a "lower price."  He had no camera or mirrors so I guess he goes on "gut feeling"  He said that it needed a new damper and a  a "cap" but is otherwise safe for operation.  He said "I will email an estimate and will do the cleaning for the remaining balance." I paid him $95.   I got his email receipt for my payment...and have sent two requests for the estimate for the two items he said we need.  Nearly three weeks...no reply.  Guess its time to move on?

    I use Anthony from Elite Fireplace Service and Repair for all my fireplace servicing.  He is friendly and professional, and explains clearly what is needed and why. The pellets were feeding too rapidly, backing up in my pellet stove, no matter what I did to adjust the augur.  He explained that I needed a new augur motor, which he had on hand.  He was in and out of the house within an hour, and my stove was sparkling clean and worked beautifully the rest of the winter.

    It was a free estimate.  They didn't pay off a lot of attention.  I think they thought it was too smaller job to pay the attention.  They need to improve on their attitude.  I think they are good, but I think they think that are pretty good.  I have them come out one other time previous to that, and they give me an estimate for an overall backyard plan.  It was a verbal estimate again, and I think they felt that it was too small for them to be bothered with.  They took really long time to get back to me.  They were punctual and professional.

    The technician is professional and did a nice job. He cleaned the entire fire place. 
    After the work is done he cleaned up the place and surroundings .
