We were very pleased with the services from Nielson. James and Diane were very helpful in assisting us in making product choices and colors. The installers were very skilled and professional. They moved our furniture and left our home clean and neat. Great experience!

job was never completed yet Tony took my money. I filed a complaint with the BBB and Contractors State Licensing Board. He put off responding to complaint with BBB until AFTER his bankruptcy was cleared. He took over $11,000 from me for work on my own home and my deceased mother (all the money I had received from her). Beware of this person. He doesn't even have a business license to be conducting business or taking the amount of $$ he has taken. I still see his van around town and fear he will victimize yet another trusting soul. Please seek services elsewhere.

My kitchen floor tile grout had become black with the years and looked really ugly. Tommy and his crew showed up on time, cleaned and scrubbed. and finished in less than an hour. The floor looks almost new!

Quick response, weekend availability, were flexible with furniture and able to get under some things that had clearance. Professional, did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, for the price they quoted! This is why I use Angie's List, and should be the minimum with everyone, but sadly isn't.

    916 Floors
I recently bought a home in Sun City, in Lincoln, CA.  The house was very well maintained, but needed new flooring.  i wanted to be able to have the floors redone before I moved in.  I found 916 Floors on Angie's List.  They had good reviews so I had an in-home estimate. I liked Paul the minute he came to my door.  He appeared very professional, taking his work seriously.  He even called a woman whose floors he recently finished to see if it was possible to me to see the work in her home. I did meet with her the next day,  She had very positive comments to make about the company and her floors looked great.  So, I decided to choose 916 Flooring.  Although Paul was very busy, he was able to start the work at my place right away due to another project not being ready. Two weeks later I had beautiful floors.  The baseboards are just now  being painted to complete the job.  I would highly recommend 916 Floors.

    R&R Construction
It was a great experience with Randy and Ryan, father and son team.   They are great guys to work with and fun to talk to. Their subcontractors that were used were great and very professional.  Ryan and Randy have  a great insight on a project to help you make wise decisions and sometimes better choices.  They are open to anything you might be interested in trying and not afraid to tell you it might not be a good idea.  I would highly recommend them for any home improvement job you may be thinking about.  I am presently having them consider tackling my master bathroom and they have come up with a great plan.

They showed up on time and got going quickly. They blared their music and sports without asking if it was okay. They made comments in whatever language they were talking in and laughed after looking in our packed closet (everything had to be put somewhere because we were having almost the whole house done!).
    Okay, fine.
Then they were done and it seemed to look good. After a day or so, I found several gaps in the flooring they had not tapped together and when I mentioned it, he waved it off like it was no big deal. I could fit a dime in some of the gaps! He said he didn't have the stuff with him, but he would just come back and put color matched epoxy in the gaps. I didn't want epoxy, I wanted it done right.
Keep in mind that we were putting the baseboards back on ourselves, so all he had to do was tap them boards in!
As I went around, I found about 10-12 more gaps through several rooms. The transition pieces were sloppily glued and I had to spend a lot of time getting the excess glue off my floors. Several pieces were installed with small chips which were very visible on dark floors.
I called to complain. They said he would be back out to fix it. He never showed. I complained again. He still never showed. I gave up.
So I bought the tools to tap the flooring together and just fixed it myself. Same with the chips.
I had laminate installed in my last house and didn't have any of these issues, so they can't blame it on the flooring or that this is typical of laminate installations.
I recently needed to have carpet re-stretched in one of the bedrooms because it had become frayed near the door. The carpet installer could not re-stretch the carpet because the laminate transition piece had been installed over the carpeting! He had to cut a piece out and replace it (including adding a tack strip!), but now there's a new piece next to 10 year old carpet and it will take a while to blend in. All because the laminate transition was incorrectly installed.
I did NOT find them through Angie's List - I should have searched here first! They were recommended by Lumber Liquidators in Rancho Cordova.

    Nielson Fine Floors
This is a family owned business on Twelve Bridges Drive in Lincoln Ca owned by James and Diane Neilson.  I recently moved to Sun City and wanted to have the carpet replaced  with hardwood flooring.
James and Diane were very helpful in providing  design ideas and assistance with selecting the hardwood.  I ultimately chose the seven inch hickory plantation style.  I was pleased to see their pricing was so reasonable and the service they offered went well beyond anything I had ever experienced at the big box stores.
They were able to get the hardwood from the supplier within a few days of my selection and began installation a week or so later. I had about 1000 square feet done, and they did the entire job of removing the wall to wall carpet, leveling the cement foundation and installing the hardwood within less than a week.  They staged the job perfectly from room to room so there was minimal disruption and removed and replaced all the furniture as they progressed through the job. Throughout the project they stayed in constant contact and the process went very smoothly.   James is very committed to the quality of his work and is a stickler for fine detail and takes great personal interest in getting the job done perfectly.  The end result was a superb job and the floors look beautiful.
I cannot say enough good things about James and Diane.  They are delightful people and  the best contractors I have ever worked with.  The quality of their service is outstanding and their pricing is as good as, if not better, than the big box stores.  I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
