I'm am in love with my back yard now!! Lavish Gardens did a great job. They know their stuff, and they created a beautiful and easy to maintain yard. They did the job quickly, and they were extremely responsive. Any minor issues we had were quickly resolved to our complete satisfaction. And they warranty the plants for a year, which I think is awesome. I am saving up my money and I'll have them do our front yard next.

    DLD Concrete
The work was beautifully executed and done in the most timely manner anyone could ask for. Overall, Scott and his crew are top notch and anyone would be lucky to have him do their concrete work. As a professional real estate agent, I value finding good trades people like DLD and have no hesitation in referring them. Thanks a million Scott. You will be hearing from me again!

    Stone Creek Landscape & Construction
Brandi was the Sales Associate that responded to the inquiry for backyard landscaping on She needed constant prompting to have the landscape designer come out to do measurements. From the time the designer came to look at the backyard to the appointment to review her plans was 3 weeks. At that appointment we made significant changes to their original plan due to price constraints (they wanted approximately $14000 for landscaping a less than 1000 sq. ft backyard including using existing concrete and irrigation). All of the pricing was spelled out, but some of the calculations for things like plants seemed very arbitrary and expensive ($175 for a flat of thyme for ground cover is ridiculous). Regardless, we paid $500 for the plans and put down an earnest deposit and they assured us at that time that they could begin the landscape work within 2 weeks. We needed to make sure that the date they began was relatively assured as we needed time to completely clear the backyard in preparation for the work to begin.
2 weeks goes by and we hear nothing. Then 3 weeks. After constant calls, Brandi finally gets back in contact with us and assures us that the foreman would come by on the first day of construction the next Monday. We both take the day off from work in order to ensure that the plans were revised per our meeting almost a month prior and that we are all on the same page since getting any communication from Brandi at that point was almost impossible. The date of construction comes and goes with no one showing up and no communication from anyone at Stone Creek until 3 pm that day to tell us that now the date to begin was Thursday. We both wasted a day off and at that point we were so upset at the lack of communication and respect that we almost called the whole thing off. But we had already put an earnest deposit down and were afraid we wouldn't get our money back if we cancelled.
A few days later the workers show up to begin, albeit unannounced. Thankfully, I was home and was able to look at their plans....which happened to be the wrong plans that reflected none of the changes made. The workers themselves were very respectful and hard-working. We were both so angry at our dealings with Stone Creek that I'm sure they felt caught in the middle, especially when we realized that there were working off of incorrect plans. We think the landscape workers themselves were honest and did a great job. That is probably the only ray of sunshine in this experience.
Multiple attempts to contact someone at this company other than Brandi were ignored. We felt like we were in the dark about most of the process, the timelines given were a farce, the plans were incorrect and we did not feel our concerns were responded to appropriately.  Brandi at one point accused me of being "hysterical" about the timing and her lack of communication. My wife works night shift and was sleeping in a bedroom right next to where construction was being was important to us to know when people would be working so she could move to another room to sleep if needed. I don't think asking to know when people are going to be jackhammering, talking, or digging right outside your bedroom window while you are trying to sleep is being hysterical.
We would never use this company again and would not recommend them to any hard-working people who don't have 1000s of dollars or time to waste. Dealing with this company was an effort in frustration.

    David Morris Concrete Construction
David was professional, kind and punctual.  He graded (leveled) my backyard properly (which was done improperly originally by the builder).  He poured a beautiful patio with a meandering sidewalk that went from the patio, around the side of the house, past the front gate to the driveway.  I chose a stamped pattern which turned out beautifully.  David suggested a border of brushed look for my stamped patio, which I love!  I have been extremely happy with his work (it's been almost a year now).  Now I am in need of a driveway extension and will be contacting David for that job too!

We had a fantastic experience with Lavish Gardens.  Everyone we worked with from top to bottom was experienced, kind, and very detail oriented.  Our backyard has gone from an area we used a few times a year to a true extension of our house that we use every day and night.  Everyone who has come over has been blown away by the transformation.  We highly recommend them.

    3D Benchmark Builders
I first met with Mike Wermes from 3D Benchmark. GTLConstruction had recommended them, which I am very glad they did. Mike walked me through the possibilities after I had explained my goal for my remodel. He listened well.

I was glad that he had many subs. He also was connected with an architect who drew the plans and had an engineer to tells us what we could really do with the bearing wall. The architect was mindful of the existing architectural bump outs and drew the plans to reflect all of it to look like there had never been an addition made.

The project was longer than I wanted. But once you start, you want it done tomorrow. Living with a retired contractor, I know all about the coordination of the work and when the subs are ready when the contractor needs them.

All in all, everything went amazingly well. Mike was always available when I needed to talk with him. I felt like we had a good relationship and could communicate well. 3D was very considerate about protecting the rest of the inside of the house with strong paper on the floors and sheets of plastic hung and taped to keep the dust to a minimum. They provided a Porta Potty for the workers which became a joke in the neighborhood and eventually a landmark for others! One joke was I had done a remodel and added a third bathroom!

    I would definitely recommend them!!

My husband and I heard about Lavish Gardens at the Auburn Home and Garden Show last summer.  We picked up their brochures and submitted a request for consultation.  Michael was willing to meet on our schedule since we work full time.  When we first met with him he was very willing to work with whatever we wanted and what we could afford.  We initially asked for a design and bid on just our back yard, but then when we met with Michael the second time, he was willing to add the front yard to our design and bid agreement!  We were thrilled since we were rather undecided as to just what we wanted to do.  We met with Ben, the designer on several occasions to finalize the design for both front and back yards and were thrilled with the final product!  Ben was great in helping us pick out the plants we wanted and the design for our front yard courtyard.  When it came to the final bid we decided we could only afford to do the front yard first so Michael met with us again to go over the finals for the front yard.  We submitted the plans to our HOA and contacted Michael as soon as it was approved.  We worked with Steve, Michael's foreman, very closely throughout the project.  Steve was very good about contacting us at every step of the way to be sure we all had the same thing in mind.  Michael would check in with us and Steve throughout the project and responded quickly when we had any concerns at all.  The only stall in the project was the sealing of the stamped concrete due to rain.  But that was fine with us because the whole project was done professionally and quickly!  We absolutely love our front yard and look forward to many years relaxing in our courtyard with a cup of coffee or glass of wine!!  Thank you to Michael, Sue, Ben, Steve and all his workers!

I originally met Mike in 2004 when my house was built in Lincoln Hills. At the time he was working for the landscaper who put in the landscaping for the builder. I had not yet really decided what to do with my yard, so I had them put in lawn and plants bordering the lawn.
In 2009, I decided I did not want the lawn anymore, so I called Mike and Lavish Gardens.
We went over the project and I met with Ben, the designer, who did a great job with the design. I had asked for plans without considering a budget. When Mike broke the costs down for me, it was well above what I could afford, so we scaled down the size of the plants and postponed the extra lighting.

Mike was very professional, putting everything in writing before the work was done, so I was never blindsided by any costs I did not expect.
I also thought Mike and Steve really listened to me. It took me some time to choose the flagstones for the backyard walkway and I met Steve at a several stone landscaping supply stores to choose them. Mike gave me a discount letter so I could get good prices for my concrete bench and the 5 large ceramic pots for my patio. They also picked these up for me and brought them to my house.
I really wanted my yard to look great from inside my house.
Now, it has been 2 years and the plants have grown in very well. I love my yard. Thanks, Mike.

    Klement Concrete
Dan Klement, the owner, is an extremely nice guy. They did our backyard concrete patio a few years ago. We were very pleased with the results. So when it came to hire someone for our new dental office concrete work it was a no brainer. Dan gave me very reasonable estimate. They worked with us to accommodate our construction schedule and requirements. They were extremely professional and helpful. They did very nice job. I even heard praises of the concrete job from other sub-contractors like the railing guy who used to do concrete in the past. If I need a concrete contractor in future I wouldn't even bother to contact anyone else.

Overall, Andy did an excellent job. They showed up on time, were very professional and finished everything on time, as promised. Even after the rest of his crew went home, Andy (the Owner) stayed around to make sure the sealer was added properly. The quality of the concrete and color added was excellent.
