  • I had an incredible involvement working with Zohar from Best Builders Group. My house required some upgrading and structural updates before I could moving in. Zohar worked carefully with me to design and remodeling the spaces just the way I projected them. It wasn’t a totally remodeling project but I was treated as a special client and during the work, I felt that my remodeling project was very important to Zohar and all the people who worked at the house. Zohar and his crew are pleasant, sincere and adoring about what they do. All of my thoughts, needs and worries were carefully attended to and they made it happen. He was able to get a decent prices for all the finish hardware and materials. The total prices were realistic too. The permit process, the actual work, inspections and completion were showed in a professional manner. The final work is gorgeous, fresh, detailed and it was finished fast. Zohar and Best Builders Group rank in the best of my involvements.

  • Excellent - we had a long list and everything got finished. We knew that it would go over the original $99 for 2 hours and were happy to pay the extra $150 for additional two hours to complete the work. We paid for the materials. They were accommodating when I had to reschedule. I recommend Atlas Electric and will call them for future electrical projects.

  • I really don't have enough good things to say about Jeff and his team.
    I've had them come out to our house for two different jobs, but to say that that's all Jeff has done for us is an understatement. The number of times he's said "I'll just fix this (unrelated thing) while I'm here" is incredible, and has solidified that we'll be hiring A-Team for any work that we can.
    We first hired them when our kitchen cabinets fell off of the wall thanks to a horrible job by whoever flipped our house. Thankfully no one was hurt. Most cabinet places in Angie's List are custom cabinet makers, so it took me awhile to find someone and eventually I found Jeff who was more than willing to come out ASAP to be there the same time as our insurance agent. His pricing was perfectly in line with our insurance check so we hired him to hang new cabinets. I can't even say that that's all he did, because he was so attentive to detail that he and his team fixed a bunch of other things while they were there, like replacing and painting molding in the one kitchen doorway. He was always happy to do those small jobs to help everything look better, and he never charged us more than just a small amount of labor and for materials, so I know he wasn't just magically finding things wrong in our house to jack up his bill.
    We were so impressed that we've basically started a "A-Team Fix It" list around the house and have already hired him for two more jobs, one of which he just did recently by replacing three old windows in our house with new ones.
    The biggest selling point for us is how Jeff not only makes time in his schedule but also communicates extremely well. I wish I could tell you how many places I've called for other projects, sometimes even large ones (like when we got our roof replaced, or AC put in) that never called me back or were slow to work with us. Jeff has been known to reply to my messages within 10 minutes of me sending them. Who does that anymore? It was one of the biggest things that made me feel confident in his company and that they care about working with us, not just treating us like a big checkbook. I wish other CA contractors would feel the same way, but since they don't then I'm happy to give my money to A-Team.
    One last little "here's why they're awesome" fact. We have a 1 year old child that takes naps during the day. During the cabinet rehanging process, my wife realized that the members of A-Team that were out to work on it suddenly got very quiet when she took our child into her room to put her down for a nap. When she eventually came back out after our kid was asleep my wife noticed that the guys were working much quieter than they had been. I talked to Jeff about it later and he said that the guys had kids themselves and clearly understood what had happened - that my wife was putting our child down for a nap - and adjusted their volume to help out. I know this won't always be something they can do, but in our case they were able to and they did, and that cemented to me how awesome they were.
    If you read this far in my comment, just hire them for your job already. You won't regret it. We certainly haven't, and I've got more work already lined up for them!

  • Start to finish, everything went smooth as glass.  I wish the ratings went up to A+, because the experience was really exceptional.  I am especially in awe of Lisa, the genius project manager, who works miracles.  Scheduling was so tight that there were no lulls waiting for workers or materials to arrive, and the entire job was completed nearly two weeks ahead of schedule.  
    It is impossible to overstate how beautiful the finished rooms are.  This is custom work.  Superior has cabinets made in their own shop - no kits from Home Depot - and the cabinet installers fit and trim every piece perfectly.  Superior employs craftsmen with superb skills. Every person who set foot on the property was highly competent at their trade and maintained a professional demeanor at all times.  Every day, cleanup was immaculate and the workers made great efforts to minimize dust and disruption.  
    One thing to keep in mind: remodeling is a collaboration between the homeowners and the contractor.  In order to get this to come out well, one must be prepared to do a lot of shopping and do it in a timely manner.  At the initial appointment at Superior, we settled on the cabinet style and finish so that the cabinet shop could get going.  But then there is an amazing amount of other stuff to select: countertops, flooring, tile, fixtures, appliances, lighting, hardware, etc.  The binder we were given included a checklist of what was needed when, and lists of suppliers.  Lisa checked in with us frequently to make sure that those decisions were made and did the final purchasing for us to get the contractor discounts.
    Organization, professionalism, artistry and excellent communication made this a satisfying experience with really exciting results.  This is how it is supposed to work.

  • I had booked comfort for some room work and, a motion light in our drive way. I even spoke to the rep and ask them if they could do it the same day, no. but I went ahead and showed him where the motion light would be going. that was 9 days ago, over a week since they said they would be here to complete the work order. the charge is on my card but, so far no luck getting anyone to show up.





    Update continued: the work was completed to repletion in quick order. I went out to test the new light that evening, there was some malfunction. I called: next day, they were very amenable, and came out to fix the problem promptly. for people researching this deal. they installed the Model # DFI-5424-WH with FL bulbs. pretty bright. the light sells for 35.00 and is a decent product.





    denouement: I would have to say: fair, they did the work requested and corrected all problems accordingly. IMHO there was allowance to ameliorate in areas of: work completed, and products used.  an extra socket or two, $10 more bucks for a more efficient product. would have advertised superlative initiative for their customers, and an excellent rating. that being said I would work them again, sometimes knowing your get fair work for a fair dollar is enough. Or I could roll the dice next time, and see what I get......

  • Washing Machine Outlet was not working. They couldn't find problem. It is still not working.
     Microwave Outlet wasn't working. They did fix that one. It is working fine so far :)
     Dining Room Outlet: Was working but lit was loose. It is still working, and it is still loose.
      
    I asked for a new outlet installed in the master bathroom. It was Installed. It works- but they wired it upside down.
    Main bathroom light- bottom switch, shower fan- middle switch and heat lamp- top switch.
    I wish they had wired it in the order it was before:
    Main bathroom light- top switch, shower fan- middle switch and heat lamp- bottom switch.
    After they were done-- When I plug in my vacuum cleaner-- the vac power dips and the bathroom light turns on.
    They did fix this. It was wired wrong. 
    Outside Pool Outlet: Was working but was dangerously loose. It needed to be mounted to a cinder block wall.
    Upon instruction, I went to Home Depot and bought an outdoor outlet with a cover (then I went into the house and let him do his work) he mounted it (without a word) on the side of the concrete wall. When he was done/and gone-- I noticed it opens sideways instead of downward to shed rain.
    Im not an electrician (I'm a mother)-- but it seems now-- after the fact-- using common sense, that he should have asked me to return the wrong- side facing cover, and get the correct cover that opens up and down. Of course it is much safer than it was-- but it's till not done right. 
    Two guys came. One was most likely an apprentice. He took electrical plates off outlets, gofer-ed and stood around waiting for instruction. I paid for an electrician for a day. I got an electrician and his apprentice for the day. I believe I paid an electrician for 4 hours of work. I believe I paid to have an apprentice trained. I will never again agree to 2 people for 4 hours again.
    All told-- I would like one seasoned and knowledgeable electrician to come out and fix everything that I already paid for.
     Yes, they worked hard, they were nice and they did try; but I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes, electrician apprenticeships, or lack of reimbursement from company decisions. 
    Thank you in advance for your help to make this all turn out right.  I will be happy to improve my review of your services upon your response to my situation.

  • I was upset that he didn't use that 4 minutes left to do the research for the panel. The outdoor lights can't be left on even though there is a solar light detector. The timer on the other one isn't working. Wasn't happy with the work as a result.
