    Capitol City Construction & Restoration
James D McConnell is the general contractor and owner of this company. He was hired in October of 2017 and abandoned the job December of 2018. He was consistently a no show for work and when he did show it was very little work completed during the time he was on site. The work that was done by he subcontractors was good but the work done by him and his personal employees was armature at best. I am now having to go the state licensing board and hiring an attorney to fight to get money back that was paid for work not completed. I also have to go after his contractor's bond to have work he incorrectly did redone. This company was started after his other company fell apart during the time frame of our job. I will also be reviewing that company as well so others that I have spoken to can leave feed back. For those of you who are worried about the people you let into your home, know this. Jim (is what he goes by) was consistently showing up to work on the site after smoking marijuana and also drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana while working. This is not someone you should let work on your house. He also threatened to place a mechanics lien on my house for failure to pay when it was an insurance job and the final portion of payment only gets released after the job is completed. he never completed the job and now I have to hire a different contractor after I have already paid this one. Stay as far away from this contractor as you can. That is if he still has a license after the state licensing board reviews this case.

I'm so happy, Michael contributed to the completion of my kitchen renovation project. Interior and exterior renovations. Project knowledge and many years of experience; influence and guidance a plus. Code compliance. (many SF remodels!)

I have 3 years demolition and some construction experience, and I helped Jason with this job. As one who has done such work, and one who has ripped out poor-quality work, I'm qualified to say what is "great quality," and such is truly Jason's work! He was on time, professional, and easy to work with!

The work was done by several skilled men.  In particular, Alfredo, who did the dry wall work and painting.  They were professional in what they did.  But there were very large gaps of time between each step.  I frequently had to call the office to try to get the next step done, to get this project on calendar.  Each step of the way the workers took photographs for the office and measurements...the information was seldom sent on.  As a result, workers came without the necessary tools, and the original mantle place was the wrong size and had to be re-cut.  As the mantle was being installed, a gap was noted between the drywall and the mantle.  It was decided that the framers needed to do a fix.  A picture was sent with the measurements.  After approximately one month with no word.  I called and spoke with the owner who said he'd have someone out the next week.  When I called the office to confirm that the work would be done, they were shocked.  They could not get someone that fast, but did schedule Alfredo on a day I agreed to.  He came and was shocked at the problem of the gap.  He had been told to just float some mud!  He and I both decided that was no fix.  He called the office and eventually got the OK to do the fix properly.  He came a week later, an agreed date, to paint it.  The idea was that I would give him a check for the balance.  While he was there, I requested an invoice.  It came.  It was wrong.  They tried to tack on an additional $492, allegedly for time and materials for mounting the TV.  The only materials that I did not supply was a cheap cover for the wires, and a couple of cable extensions that probably cost under $20.  I refused to pay any of that additional amount as it was never discussed with me, I did not agree to pay extra for something that was discussed and supposedly included in the original scope of work.  It took Lobo Services FIVE months to complete what was a relatively straightforward job.

Excellent job. From the beginning - repairing ceiling cracks, retexturing over repairs and then the repainting - to the completion of the job, we were kept informed and all work areas were covered which kept dust and repair residue to a minimum. We have a large kitchen area with a skylight and four fluorescent fixtures over the "island" which were also covered in the cost of this job.  We are extremely satisfied with the work, the timeliness and the professional job that the entire crew performed.  The company is extremely busy but worth the wait. We would use them again and would recommend them to friends and family.

    WDS Remodeling & Renovation
This was a large project for us and involved quite a bit of our home. It went quickly. No demolition was started until the cabinets were ready to be installed. After 3.5 weeks, we were back in our kitchen. The quality of the work was excellent in all cases. The WDS crew is highly skilled and competent and the subcontractors are as well. People cleaned up well after themselves at the end of day. No one smoked on sight. It all went really well.
Dave, our contractor, gave us a lot of help in designing the kitchen layout and in selecting components like granite, tile, lights and flooring. I did not have a vision for the kitchen, except that it be larger, so really needed this help. He made suggestions, but did not push for anything in particular, which worked well for me. Initially I was thinking of putting in an island, but Dave pointed out we only had room for a tiny island and it would be the same price if not cheaper to move the door and expand the kitchen. Done and done.
In addition to making the kitchen larger, we had a pocket door installed between the kitchen and dining room. Termites were discovered in that area and the damage was repaired. We had a small pantry that was converted to cabinets along with a shelf and wiring for the microwave. There was enough granite to line the shelf under the microwave and that really looks nice. The cabinets include a pull out shelf that houses bins for recycling and garbage. New wiring was also installed for the lights over the new breakfast bar.
Dave has lots of experience and seemed to read us very well and understand our priorities. I appreciate working with someone who's been in the business long enough to have seen everything and know what to do about it. It's clear he wants to do a good job and wants us to be happy with the end product and we are.

While we were not aware of the disruption this had on the entire house, due to the walls of plastic sheeting needed to protect furniture and the rest of the house, the job went very well and we lived in the two rooms that did not require any new work. It is an incredible mess pulling off the old and putting the new on all the ceilings. All was done without damaging any of our belongings and their cleanup was excellent. The painter (Jack) really knew his stuff even though I talked his ear off the entire day about family and kids, motorcycles, skate boarding, Mexican vacations, etc. etc. etc. Keith and Mary, the bosses, gave a fair estimate for the work. Keith even invited us to view the ceilings at his own home to see what the new style texture would look like. Mary has the Xmas spirit and her decorations were fabulous.

We purchased a home which needed a fair amount of dry wall repair, wall paper removal, and texture.  Keith?s bid was competitive and he promised a quality product.  What we ended up with was anything but quality.  The problems started when we returned to the house the morning after they finished work to find the front door wide open.  We weren?t living at the house at the time; however, all of our belongings were in the garage.  So I called Keith to ask him about it and he was very defensive and down played the issue.  Luckily notihing was stolen.  Upon entry into the house, I found the house an absolute mess.  Now I didn?t expect them to deep clean the place; however, I did pay them to do a job which I expect that contractor's should clean up after themselves.
Two days later our painter was to begin; however upon arrival the painter noted that the texture was way too thick and needed to be sanded.  This was a problem throughout the house.  This wasn?t a huge deal, but Keith?s response was the problem.  ?Tell the painter to not be a p**** and do it himself.?  I explained that we weren?t paying the painter to finish his job.  So his crew returned 3 days later (there was no real attempt to accommodate us quickly).  This delayed my painter and ultimately cost me more.  When his crew did arrive they complained the entire time about being there and their workmanship mimicked their attitudes.
Needless to say we were very disappointed with the product and service we received from Super Shooters.

Scott did an excellent job and I would recommend him for any drywall work you might need to do.  He priced the job reasonably and was very professional through the entire process.  The quality of work was excellent.

Called Scott, left a message and he returned my call in a timely manor. We arranged a time to meet for an assessment and estimate. He arrived on schedule. Initially he felt that the required work exceeded his $500 maximum and refered me to another company. I attempted to contact the other company, left a message, but they did not return my call. I decided to eliminate some the repairs, opting to defer them for another time. I called Scott back and told him if I defered some of the work to a latter date did the remaining work come within his maximum and he said that it did. Great, so we sceduled a date to complete the repairs. He showed up on time and did the required work. I was very empressed with his work and realized I had under estimated how much effort and talent was required to complete the job. I would recommend him to anyone requiring this type of repair work. Scott seems to fill a nitch, small sheetrock repair jobs, which he does very well. I plan on using his services again to complete the remaining work that I still need done.
