    Bowman���s Appliance Repair is a wonderful service. Because they were highly recommended by someone in my area, I called them to help with a problem we were having with our three-year-old LG clothes dryer. In spite of a very tight schedule, the owner himself, Alex, came out the very same day I called Bowman���s on a Friday morning. For over a week the dryer had been making a loud thumping noise each time I used it. In addition, by the end of the week, a terrible odor behind the dryer became progressively worse. I was so grateful that Alex was able to come to my rescue before the weekend because the smell would have been intolerable by the following week. In just a short time, he skillfully gained access to the interior of the machine and discovered the problem. A snake had entered the outside lint vent, crawled through the exhaust duct and into the dryer where it became trapped inside near the motor and eventually died. This, of course, was the source of the bad odor and thumping noise each time I turned on the dryer. I would further describe Bowman���s Appliance Repair as very professional, efficient and reasonable regarding the cost for the service they provided. Alex is knowledgeable, thorough, completely trustworthy and very congenial. We are fortunate to have discovered Bowman���s Appliance Repair and plan to engage their services again in the near future.

    It went from fantastic to horrible.
    First visit, repairman came out, called to say he would be late and asked it that was ok.  Arrived and very friendly and straightforward about the repair.  Determined that the washer was fine mechanically, but the problem was the electrical.  Repair would be approximately $100 less than it would cost to buy a new washer.  He also told me there was no guarantee that the repair would fix the washer.  I liked that he was straight with me, didn't want to dump a relatively new washer in a landfill, believe in supporting local businesses, so I authorized the repair.  I gave him a deposit.  He suggested I first run a cycle, and see if it stopped in the middle.  If it did, try dropping the lid and see if that fixed it.  I ran two cycled, and both ran all the way through, so I called and said to wait on the repair.  Then I did my laundry on the weekend and every cycle messed up, so I called again on Monday and said to order the part.
    Tuesday I got a call saying they could come out Wednesday.  It was a bad day for me, but I was able to get the OK to work from home, so I said OK.
    Wednesday morning around 10:15 my boyfriend came home from dialysis (he's a kidney patient).  He came in and asked, "has he come and gone?"  I said not yet, so he went outside to move his car.  Repairman had just pulled in behind him and to one side on the "lawn".  Boyfriend asked him if he could please move his car so that he could get out of the driveway.  The repairman said he'd left room so that he could get around.  Boyfriend is showing his car this weekend in Las Vegas, and didn't want to risk scratching the paint on the bushes, so asked him again if he could move it.  I'm not sure why this was such a big deal to the repairman but he kept insisting that there was room to get around him. 
    Ultimately he got angry, gave me back my check and left without doing the job.  So now I am faced with either finding another repairman or buying a washer.  Way unprofessional.

    He was successful at it but it is broken again. I don't think it was his fault that it broke again; I think it was the part. He basically just charged us for parts. He was very professional and very friendly. He was a hard worker.

    Our AC went out on Sunday July 1st, and our house got so hot that night we did not sleep well at all.  I called early in the
    morning and was told they could get someone to my house between 8-10PM that night.  We were so appreciative  as we 
    had called another company who couldn't make it until Friday the 5th.  I went on Angie's List to find this company and
    although there were some good companies advertised, I eliminated by narrowing my search by fairly close to home and
    by A ratings on the maps.  Travis showed up at 8:10 P.M, got us back up and running. and left here about 9:40 P.M.   He
    was very friendly, but kept on working the whole time he was here. Since we are seniors with a dog, we felt Blessed that
    this company took such good care of us in such a short time.  We will definitely use this company again and would highly
    recommend then to anyone needing their heat, AC or solar checked and/or repaired.  We just wish this company and all
    other companies for that matter would not do, is try to sell you a Service Club Membership on future checkups and/or
    a percentage off on future repairs.  Anyway...without the lowest Membership cost that was added to our bill with our mutual
    consent, our cost would have been $244.00 for repairs and the lowest cost Membership for a year was $159.00, bringing
    our total cost to $403.00.

    Michael Miraglia of Sierra Foothill Appliance Service is absolutely excellent. I've been using him for several years now. When something goes out I call him and he comes right out and fixes it. He is punctual, dependable and reliable. The quality of his work is good. He is friendly and a nice guy, and he does good business.

    Right in the middle of a very busy day doing lots of dirty laundry, my dryer quit working!
    Because I had previously used Angies List to find an appliance repairman for my broken washing machine, I knew who to call to fix my broken dryer. Prestige Appliance is the best! The owner, a very polite gentleman with a pleasant British accent arrived on time and proceeded to diagnose the cause of the dryer failure. It took a short time for him to discover the problem and fix it. He replaced a thermal fuse that had blown out. My dryer was back in service again.
    He also took off several dollars from his fee since he was able to find and fix the dryer problem so quickly. Amazing! I am keeping him on my and quot;911 repairmen to calland quot; list. He is my replacement for and quot;Fredand quot; the appliance repairman who came to fix my previous washer and dryer for many years.Sadly for me, he retired. Fred was like a and quot;time travelerand quot; from the l950's. He was exactly like the repairman who my mother called upon back in the 50's when her washing machine would break. He was friendly, polite, wore a unifrom and could fix anything and charged a reasonable price. Soooooooo, anyway, if you need an appliance repairman, call on and quot;Prestige Applianceand quot; and youand quot;ll get the best!

    He came out right on time. The repair took maybe 20 minutes. He knew exactly what to do and fixed it, and he was gone probably in a total of 25 minutes. We even talked about that if we ever needed an appliance repair, we would ask that guy out. He did a great job.

They are meticulous workers, take precautions to prevent any damage, and leave the work area in your home looking cleaner and, of course, more beautiful than before because of the installation or cabinetwork they provided. It is such a pleasant experience to work with all of them. They are so polite, congenial, great at conversation, knowledgeable, and just lots of fun. They are quick with offers to help out in any way they can.

    Our Dacor range fan (pop-up vent) stopped working. I called FLA on a Thursday and was told they were able to work on it but the first appt I could get was the following Monday afternoon. Two hours before my appt FLA called and said that their repair people lacked the expertise to work on the range fan and canceled the appt. One the one hand, it's nice that they confessed this failing before the tech showed up (but confessing this when I called on Thursday would have been nicer); on the other hand they advertise and I was told that they do work on Dacor when apparently they don't, or at least not on range fans. Why didn't the clerk I spoke to know this? In the end, my husband ordered a new circuit board,installed it himself, and the fan now works fine. I'm giving him the 'A' on this work!

    I called Mandy and they sent a tech out quickly. The part was ordered and we were set up soon after for repair. Ian came to replace the fan, which he did and found they did not make a new wiring harness for it and no one was available. He got the fan running and returned with a way to make the harness we had do the job correctly. Great job!
