    Sadie's Pet Spa
I have a fifteen pound Poodle. Sadie was really great. There was one time where she had a car issue and she didnt manage to get into her office in the morning early, her place and we had a hiccup about her being able to get ahold of me, but other than that one time, and I have been with her for years now it has been at least 2 years. That's how long Ive had my dog, 2 years. She has been really excellent. Ive always been extremely happy with the cuts and everything. Shes been really, really good. All was well.

I needed to find an interim groomer in November 2013 while my regular groomer was unavailable. I made an appointment with Cali Paws for November 23 at 10 AM. I informed Felicia that I had a long coat Malamute (sometimes referred to as a soft coated Malamute or extreme cases are woolies). Her response to me was "I used to have one." I called three days before the appointment to confirm and to remind her that my dog would take a long drying time because of his coat. I also informed her that he had been on two courses of antibiotics because of a skin problem and the vet said he must be TOTALLY dry after his bath. I purchased a medicated shampoo from the vet which I provided to Cali Paws. She asked if she could come an hour earlier than scheduled which was fine and they subsequently arrived on 11/13 around 9:00 AM. There was Felicia, Jeremy (her husband) and a young child.. They told me they were going to get their new van painted with their business name after they were done. I offered to let their son watch tv while they worked on my dog, but instead they took him out in the van with them, cramming two adults, a child and a 90 pound Malamute all inside. They brought my dog back around 11:45 much to my surprise. (It was after 9:30 when they started) I said to them that his tail still felt damp and reminded her of our conversation that he had to be totally dry and told her that once the fur starts to cool, you can feel the dampness coming up from the skin. She insisted I was wrong, that he was dry and that they were in a hurry to get their van painted. She made the second of the two appointments I needed, took the check for $125 plus a $25 tip and quickly departed. I then was able to actually LOOK at my dog. They had done none of what I paid for, other than I assume a bath since he was, indeed, still damp. I waited until the next business day which was that following Monday and called at 8:15. Around 11:00 AM Felicia returned my call and I attempted to be as diplomatic as I could and inquired as to how much clipping they had actually done and she said "just a little to even it up to where the other groomer had cut on the sides." .I told her I had pictures so that maybe next time I could be a little more clear about how I wanted him clipped, and even took the blame and said perhaps I hadn?t been clear about part of it but that I was concerned about how long it would be in five weeks, since they had not done any of the sanitary cuts. Then I reiterated that he had indeed still been wet when they left, to the extent that the throw rug he was laying on became damp also. She got very angry and insisted I was wrong, that the dog was dry and that she had "brushed him for an hour." She then said she didn?t think they would be able to make me happy ever and when I asked if that meant she wasn?t willing to try on the next appointment she repeated she didn?t think they could please me and terminated the conversation rudely. In a stroke of luck I discovered my regular groomer was back in town and ready to go to work. He came and fixed the lousy job Cali Paws done. (1) They did not clip and even out the hair on his chest; (2) They did not clip the hair on his stomach into the sanitary cut I had requested; (3) They did not give him a sanitary clip on his rear end that I had specifically requested and described; (4) They did not trim his legs at all; (5) They did not clip and round the hair on his feet. Probably worse than the fact they had done nothing I had requested was that they did not clip his nails at all, neither with a grinder or clipping with clippers...from the minute they left he was pulling at his nails and you could hear them clicking when he walked. In addition, my regular groomer said regardless of what they had told me, they did NOT do much of a job at all of brushing out his coat and he has taken care of that also. Since there was shampoo missing from the bottle and the dog was still damp, I assume they gave him a bath. But they did nothing else. The only thing they provided was the water in their tank...I provided the electricity and the shampoo. I would certainly NEVER recommend them because obviously they are lacking in training, knowledge, experience and customer service. It is obvious that Felicia must either have not known what a long coat Malamute was or was outright lying when she said "she used to own one." Stay far far away if you have anything more complicated than a stuffed animal.

    Pawz Fur Beauty-Mobile Dog Grooming
My long coat/soft coat Malamute is three years old and since he was four months old he has had ONLY one groomer. This previous groomer came to the house every four weeks. When she deliberately used something I had asked her not to, our long term relationship came to an end and it was a desperate search on my part to find a mobile groomer. Juanita is the owner of Pawz Fur Beauty and she was OUTSTANDING as far as customer service, putting my fears to rest, talking about what they could do for me and setting me up with her newest groomer, a gentleman named Ananda. They did not require me to drug my dog (unlike the previous groomer), and did a FANTASTIC job on our first appointment. I have been used to the groomer never being on time and Ananda was thirty minutes early to get acquainted with my dog. He was very professional, Whiskey appeared to have an easy experience and we are booked for every four weeks through the end of the year. The only thing I would have him do differently, was my dog was slightly damp on the stomach. So as we get into winter weather, that will take a little more drying time. I am hoping to have a long and happy relationship with Pawz Fur Beauty. If they (both owner and groomer) treat every customer in the fashion I was treated, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Everything is always the same, her quality never wavered. One time she had car issues and couldnt open her shop, but that was the only time there was an issue.
