    Kaiser Permanente Medical Group
I went to a cardiologist. I just go in for a checkup once a year because I have to. It was Dr. Warren, it was great. Very, very good. When I had to go in there in an emergency, I really liked how he handled the whole situation. It's a really good staff, I really liked their staff. They were concerned.

    William McDougall MD,DO
He is the worlds greatest doctor. He is really famous. He is just loving and wonderful. I used him for years and years. He is kind. I really like him. He takes his time to care of people. He is just like a regular doctor who cares which is important for the people here. He is a nice man.

He is so busy and so popular here. People might have to wait for a while before you get to see him because he spends time with his patients. He does well with keeping appointments.

My care has been excellent. I have no complaints. They're very efficient. It's easy to get information. It's easy to get to see your doctor. It's easy to see a specialist when needed. Everything about it just flows.

    Brown, Dr. Ben
I am happy with the quality of medical care I receive from this office. I find the staff and doctors to be helpful. My doctor's name is Andy D. He has a nice manner about him and knows what he is talking about. Futhermore, he takes time to listen to me rather than trying to rush me out of the office. They also are not afraid to recommend me to other specialists, as needed. I do have some concerns about their billing and administration, but overall have not had significant issues with billing. I don't think they are as adept at dealing with private insurance because a majority of their patient payments appear to be medicare or medicaid.

ABIt's all about the individual staff you get. Some are great, and some are so burned out they shouldn't see patients anymore. Both our visits to the ED this spring resulted in rude people at the triage desk and good nurses in the ED. So overall it's not bad. Not good, but not bad either. With HMO healthcare the key is to be your own advocate and not be afraid of the staff. They're people, they have bosses, you're the customer. Don't forget that - they may act like they're doing you a favor, but the reality is that you pay for the service, and you should expect courteous, professional service.

Surgery is never fun. The surgery department at Kaiser is about the same as most others, but our issue was with the anesthesiologist. She sat at the nursing station in pre/post op and discussed he partying with one of the nurses...as in how much she drank, how often...what she liked to drink and where. Hellooooo...you're in front of patients! People who are about to depend on you to manage their airway and keep them sedated during surgery. NOT the time to talk about how much you like to party!

He calls me instead of me going to him because I am a heart patient.  He is very efficient.  He knows his stuff.  He is very nice, charming and pleasant person.  He is very strict with you.  I have put my life in his hands and I don’t regret it.

I am usually seen right away. They seem knowledgable. The main thing that I like is that there is a nurse that you can talk to on the phone who will give you advise. I wish that other providers had this service. She can determine before your visit if you do in fact need to be seen by a doctor.

They do seem to prescribe medication too often for my preferences.

    Caskey, Dr. Patrick J.
First, I am a physician [Age 71, hospital-based psychiatrist] with complex ophthalmalogical problems. My ophthalmologist, Dr. Beller in Napa, CA, referred me, and the surgery was not only painles, literally, but was, for now, curative. Care has been extraordinary, with Dr. Caskey & staff thorough, caring and modern, as is Dr. Caskey's equipment & diagnostic testing. Outstanding!! [And I have had, even though I am a physician, my share, with other providers, of the full range of care, including some really bad experiences with other physicians. My status provides NO immunity against bad care.

I was treated extremely well and was given complete care and personal service. They have a very good information system so they know my circumstances and how to treat them well. They keep very good records. I recommend them very highly and I will use them again in the future.
