    They charged a lot, but they're okay. They're awesome, it's not like they're going to rip you off. I would go to have lunch and when I would get back it would be ready. They have TV a lot of magazines.

    I told him I was looking for a used Accord and I wanted to spend 8 to 10 grand and the guy had me looking at $20000 cars. He didn't really listen to me. He kept showing me cars that were out of my price range. He was trying hard. He was working hard, good listener, showed me a lot of stuff, prompt, positive, enthusiastic but was just showing my cars that didn't fit the criteria.

    I wanted to be left alone and they left me alone. I would go look there again. I went in to look at cars. I told them I just wanted to look and not be bothered. They did get my name and I think it was them, but they sent me a lot of emails about cars and I wasn't sure who they were coming from. That was confusing after the fact. I enjoyed looking around without having someone breathing down my neck.

    Manly Honda
    Manly Honda can be ok if you get a great service rep and everything is great and he does a great job. Some of the service reps aren't as helpful. Some of the employees don't understand about customer service. Their waiting room, while improved, still has something to be desired. They are usually always out of food because the employees eat the food. They don't have a big  drink selection. Many other waiting rooms in the area beat the pants off the waiting room at Manly. The parts department is very helpful. Excellent customer service in the parts department.

    I've been working with them for years now and I'm extremely pleased with them. I have a Subaru and they specialize. There was some major work done then. I had a blown head gasket and it was like $3500. It was a major, major complete, it was a 75,000 mile check up.or something, where you're supposed to have things tuned up. So they did all of that and it's like a new car, yay! Fabulous, give them A's all the way across the board. I had a neighbor who had different type of a car. He had the same head gasket problem and his quote was like $5000. He found a retired individual who did it over the course of like 3 months who did it for like $3500, so I got an extremely good deal. As a matter of fact they're so close to me I was able to walk to PJ's automotive. They are like a mile from my house.

    The rear window pistons on my SUV were completely worn out; they wouldn't hold the window up at all. I contacted them and explained the problem, saying I had to hold the window on my head when loading and unloading. They gave me a quote for $161 and we scheduled the work. I dropped my car off before work on a Friday, and picked it up after they closed. Of course, the first thing I did when I picked it up was to test the rear window, but the pistons still didn't work and they didn't look like they had been touched at all.
    I called Northbay on Monday to ask what was up, and they said bring it by the next day and they would install new pistons at no charge. This time I stayed there, and found out they had replaced the gate pistons, not the window pistons, even despite my clear instructions.
    So I had to make yet another trip to get the rear window pistons replaced. They didn't offer me a refund of the difference in cost between the two jobs, and to be fair, since I had gotten new gate pistons (not that I needed them), I didn't ask.
    Here's what is wrong with what they did:
    1. When I explained that it was the rear window pistons, the person scheduling the work didn't pay attention.
    2. When the mechanic started the job, he should have stopped the work as soon as he noticed the gate pistons were working, and the shop should have called me to ask if I really wanted the perfectly good gate pistons replaced. (I suppose it would be too much to expect them to have tested the window pistons just in case.)
    3. They should have offered me, a loyal customer of many, many years, some kind of compensation for the multiple trips I had to make to get this one simple job done.
    The next time I needed work done, I went to BNC, who did a perfect job for a lot  less money than Northbay.

    These guys cost a little more than the cheap guys, but they do much better work than the cheap guys. If you want to save some money, get their buy 10 car washes card for $150ish. That gives you 10 car washes or 5 wash and hand waxes, or any combination you choose.

    I knock these guys on professionalism because I don't like how the owner and an employee handled a situation I had.

    Nevertheless, I continue to use them and would recommend them.

    I shutter to think if I took the freeway home and the tire blew (after the nail apparently flew out) I might have taken you, your kids, family, friends..out. I now read angies list and yelp reviews before any major purchases.

    The pricing is competitive. They're always willing to take the vehicles in in case of emergencies. I never had any issues with the work they've done. Ken, the owner, will always tell you what needs to be done now, what needs to be done later, or what to watch for. They don't try to up sell you on unnecessary repairs.

    It went well. They are good about not taking advantage of you. They have given us feed back where we didn't have to replace x,y & z. They are very, very honest with high integrity. That goes a long way.
