    Halo Construction Group
We hired Ron at Halo Roofing for a large remodeling project. The remodeling project that he did for us was to replace the entire roof at our house and then to remodel completely the kitchen and master bathroom. Ron worked on the 3 sections of the house at the same time with several team of people that each one was a professional one at his trades. The old roof was an old one and once the old roof was removed, the roofing team started to install the new one under the supervision of Ron. Inside the house, we had another team of people that worked on the kitchen and master bathroom. At the end of the kitchen demolition, Ron noticed a large mold behind the sink cabinets. Ron was able to immediately inspect it and he provided us with an advice on what to do. As soon as that problem was solved, the rest of the remodeling project went very smoothly and without any issues. The remodeling was finished pretty fast due to the fact that all the people that worked at our house, worked on a daily basis and Ron visited the house each day and made sure that everything is going according to the plan. Halo Roofing did remarkable remodeling job on the roof, kitchen and master bathroom. More than that, he helped us to get the great deals for all the appliances and finishing hardware for our house.

    Green Universe Inc.
We were referred to Ozzie by our close friends who also had their home remodeled with Green Universe. Ozzie did a great job for them, and my husband got to know him during their project. What a great guy! We added a new master bedroom, complete with a full bathroom. We also had our kitchen redone and took down a wall for an open concept layout. All complete with new copper piping. Let me tell you, it was smooth sailing. If you want your mind at ease when you have a big (or small) project, these are the guys for you! Everything looks fantastic! Ozzie has a great taste, and gave us great advice with the design. Our kitchen is a masterpiece, and our new master bedroom looks like a 5 star resort suite! We're planning to remodel our two other bathrooms in the future, and I have no doubt Green Universe will do an amazing job there too!

    Flux Construction
We purchased a new home, and wanted to add a bathroom and a walk-in closet before we move in to avoid the hassle of living in a construction site. We also wanted to remodel the kitchen and guest bathroom. We called a few contractors for estimates Flux construction came promptly, and provided an extremely detailed estimate. Although their estimate wasnt the lowest we felt like they are the right fit for us. Eran and Liran were extremely transparent about what the work would entail, what the costs might be for finishes, and offered their contractor discount at the stores they are working with. They were prompt, listened to our requests, and were very responsive. We will definitely be using Flux again. Highly recommended.

    Lancaster Insulation
My home is very cold in the winter and extremely hot in the summer here in Lancaster. I was driving by my moms neighborhood once and saw this big truck with the "Lancaster Insulation" logo, so I decided to check on the pricing to be curious because I got a quote before for something I really couldn't afford. Anyways this guy came and gave me a quote for way cheaper than the previous one I had. I asked what material they used and it was the same as my previous quote. I went away and pulled the trigger and that was that. My house feels a lot better now and doesn't get as bad as before. The workers were very professional and on time. I would recommend them without hesitation.

    Joe Hymes Handyman Service
The original contract was opened on 12/29/13 for garage insulation, re-drywall, installation of electrical outlets and 3 security lights around the exterior of the house, and re-texture and paint the interior of the garage for $1300. On 1/5/14, prior to the completion of the first job (a horrible mistake on my part), a second contract was opened to install drywall, insulation, and patch and paint the ceiling of the garage for an additional $600. A $650 deposit was given on 12/29/13, followed by a check on 1/4/14 for $250, two checks on 1/5/14 for a total of $600, a check for $150 on 1/11/14, and another check for $100 on 1/15/14. That's the last day Joseph (Joe) Hymes actually did any meaningful work. So almost two months since the original contract was signed and two deadline extensions given by myself as a courtesy, the job is only half complete.

Joseph (Joe) Hymes has been paid $1750 of the original $1900 estimate PLUS an additional $100 on 1/14/14 to repair the garage door in which he broke forcing me to park outdoors for two days. With the exception of a bout with the flu which supposedly lasted roughly 2 weeks, this man has continuously lied about when he would show up, followed by excuses as to why he didn't show up. The excuses range from his worker being sick, his truck breaking down, a relapse in sickness, being behind in other jobs, etc. I have lost count of how many security risks this contractor has caused me because I have either left my garage opened or left my remote under the doormat (at his request) in hopes that when I return home from work the job would be complete.

I never hesitated to issue payment to Joseph (Joe) Hymes because he is my neighbor and came highly recommended by another neighbor. I trusted that he was a man of his word and that he would do as he said he would considering that his license (which now appears to be nonexistent) and reputation were at stake. I found out the hard way that this was not the case. This man is a fast talking liar who sees nothing wrong with holding a yard sale in plain view while he is supposed to be performing contracted duties. I can't make this stuff up. It really happened and he used a light pole in my yard to post the sign. Unbelievable.

Hindsight is indeed 20/20. I wish I had checked these reviews prior to hiring Joseph (Joe) Hymes. Until now, I had no clue how someone sues for pain and suffering. I now understand the emotional turmoil one can actually suffer as a result of lies, excuses, and feeling cheated. I have owned my home for 4 years. I could have very well done much more with my hard-earned money and left the garage as it has always been. My poor lawn looks horrible now as my sprinkler system has been disconnected since the beginning of the year. I honestly regret the day I agreed to do business with this man. And if you readers don't take heed, then you will too. Guaranteed.

I have since filed complaints against Joseph (Joe) Hymes with the BBB and Consumer Affairs/Contractors State License Board. Although I may never get my money back, I will most certainly try. In the meantime I will use my bought lesson to do whatever is in my power to make certain that Joseph (Joe) Hymes doesn't earn another penny and/or have a chance to scam another human being out of their money.

    White Stone Construction Inc
We are very pleased with them. In order to get the mortgage on our house we had to have our insulation put in to qualify for an FAA, so they came in to put the insulation in. They were very helpful in doing that and we are probably going to use them for few other things. They came in under what we were quoted and they did a really good job. They were here when they were supposed to be here. The mortgage company had allowed $950. They did what needed to be done. We were given an estimate of about $1500, which is why we went to somebody else because we were only allowed $950, so we went to someone else and they came in at about $540. We have a few other things that we are gong to have done, and we are going to use them.

    All Pest Pros
I think this company is recently expanding into Northern CA although based in Lancaster, and the crew was from San Mateo county. That's why I'm rating them in San Francisco Angies List region. I want to thank JHT Pest Pros for a great job in Novato. The estimator, Dean, was knowledgeable and provided a bid that was lower than others. The crew, Gilbert and Tony, was hardworking and thorough, and put in a long day but didn't quite finish, partly due to some miscommunication about needing a very large extension ladder. This is why I gave them an overall B rather than A. But all three came back early the next Monday to take care of loose ends - mainly installing an attic vent on a hard to reach area of siding - and make sure I was satisfied with the completed job. They went 'above and beyond' for a very reasonable price to remove and replace attic insulation, sanitizing before blowing in the new TAP, patching holes, installing a vent, and setting traps.

Overall, Art was professional and willing to work with us for our specific needs with the real estate sale. I would probably call them again for insulation work on our next home.
