Stucco Repair reviews in Lakewood

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Joshua and Elias did a fantastic job intalling our new patio door, patching damaged stucco and painting house. The guys showed up on time and were very honest and hard working. Very happy with the quality of work done.

  • Aston's work is of the highest quality. He was prompt to answer my call, I was able to text pictures of the repair work I needed done and we came to agreement quickly. We set a date, he came early in the morning, let himself into the backyard and started working. By the time I arrived he was busy at work and was doing a very thorough and complete job. I thought his bid was a little high, but after I saw the quality of his work and thoughtfulness of the customer about cleanup, I am glad I chose him for my stucco work. Very professional plus I loved the english accent.

  • Fantastic! I have been using Certified Home Improvement, Inc. for 9 years now. They are the BEST! Honest, friendly, professional, and always clean up after themselves. This work was all done for free. When they remodeled my home 9 years ago, Aaron said that he would continue to maintain my home for the rest of my life, and he has been good on his promise. You can't find anyone else who would do that!

  • We were very very impressed with Original Richard. Richard came right away to give an estimate. He listened very carefully to my concerns and needs for the project, made several suggestions on the best way to go, and also told me where the cost might change if they found further damage after removing the current stucco. We were on a tight budget as this repair was needed to stop water intrusion every time it rained, but we had not planned on it at all. Richard accommodated us by finding ways that I could do some of the work to save money. For example, I went to the LB City office and obtained the permits, which saved OR from having to spend all day in the city office, so Richard did not charge me for permits. Also I have done house painting before, so Richard planned the work so that it would be easiest for me to paint it after they finished. Finally, Richard was planning on charging me for insulating the entire wall, but there was really only about 70sq ft that needed insulation, but couldn't have been done from the inside, so I offered to do it myself and purchased the insulation. When Richard realized that it was minimal work, he just had his guys install it for free. OR also worked with us to schedule the work around the inspections, our schedule, as well as the needs of the job. The crews came when they said they would, and finished ahead of schedule. Everybody that worked on our house was, clean, polite, respectful of our needs and our property. They worked quickly and did a very high quality job. I know a fair amount about construction work, and I watched every step of the work. They were all meticulous and paid great attention to detail. Where they came across problems (like rotten chipboard under part of the stucco wall, or rotten framing 2x4s around windows), they pointed them out immediately, explained what the problem was, and then fixed it to considerably better than simply repaired. OR asked for a down payment, half the cost when work started, and the rest on completion. They worked with me to pick up the payments and there were no surprises in the bill. I even gave them the final check a couple days before the finished for good, and OR didn't cash it until they were completely done and I had said I was happy. I had looked at several contractors to do this job. OR was not the cheapest, but I was impressed by their reviews and really impressed by Richard's professionalism, knowledge, interest in my needs, and thoroughness when giving me the estimate. I am glad I paid the slightly higher costs and got a much higher quality of job. I am already calling OR in to do a couple more estimates for work I want to do in the near future.

  • Very punctual and very neat and clean. Stucco looks great after fog coat but does have more cracks than I was lead to believe. Trim painted well though I thought more effort would be put into filling and sanding. Overall a good company with fair pricing. I have already recommended them to a colleague.

  • Luise (my wife) and I found it very easy to talk to both David and Ronen (Company Contractors) who made it a point to be at the site each morning during demolition and much of the repair work. David made it a point to take Luise and I to various material supply stores specializing in tile, marble and flooring products to select the very best available (much wider selection than Lowes or Home Depot). The company was very supportive throughout the project and made sure we had suitable housing (hotels in the area) for over two months while the home was unsuitable to live in due to the extent of project. Ronen was always very helpful in explaining what were the next steps to be done and how it was to be done which I found to be helpful as I was present much of the time and watched the men perform their jobs. Both David and Ronen were only a phone call away and very responsive. I found it helpful to be able to go on my own and pick out the various kitchen appliances on my own (David gave us a budget figure to work within) as well as the bathroom fixtures rather than leaving it up to them. The project took 4 months to complete but part of that was due to rain delays (Jan. & Feb. 2017 heavy rains after a 4 year drought). I liked the fact that I was introduced to the various subcontractors (cabinet maker, roofer, tilers, etc.) and was able to interact directly with them when issues arose. David especially was very helpful in interceding on our behalf if there were any questions. My only suggestion would be for both David and Ronen better manage the timing of what subcontractor are doing and making sure the materials are available as needed. This would have saved several days throughout the course of the project. Overall, we were very pleased with the interaction and support rendered by David, Ronen and the various subcontractors. The cost was not inexpensive but due to the scope of the work it was reasonable. David Villasenor (home owner)

  • I'd chosen Dehaven due to apparent cost vs. work scope and the seeming customer care exhibited by co-owner Linda Dehaven, who was my main contact during the assessment and project. Things started well, but deteriorated as soon as I signed and submitted the first payment. Linda was unprofessional and argumentative on the few times I asked for project clarification and especially any requests for re-do (as there were some minor problems ... all fixable).
Since it's been three years since this project, I cannot/shouldn't try to recall exact conversations. The gist of it was my asking for fixes and submitting punch list items as we progressed, and Linda either ignoring them AND/OR lecturing me for being picky and trying to "milk" her of her profits. She also had me paying the crew (very personable and accommodating I must say) personally, versus through her ... an uncomfortable activity for me.
I'm a very reasonable guy, and understanding customer. But Linda was aggressive, and at one point screamed on a voicemail response. She later apologized, via text message, and explained some personal events were going on. Out of empathy I let it go, and to wit this is why I didn't submit a negative review. Now, though, I see that others had similar experiences ... and have some "3 years in quality" results to report on.
The paint and stucco patching has held up well, except  for one area -- the area that I'd asked for special attention in my punch list: peeling paint where wood meets stucco in the front of the home. It's noticeable. As this may have not been in the project scope, I will qualify it as "normal aging," and declare Dehaven's work as STRONG. Too bad that Dehaven's customer care wasn't nearly as commendable.

  • This is the third project that Pier has done for us .I would not hesitate to call him again for any project I may have.
With a 70 year old house I expected that once we started demo we would find problems that needed to be addressed. (water damaged sub-floor, termite damage. Pier found them all and was very fair with the added cost to bring our home up to current standards.
He and or his crew were on site daily for the 4 week project.
I have received compliments from the building inspectors as to the quality of work being preformed.
I have had neighbors stop by and ask for Piers phone number, to look at their proposed project .
I would recommend Pier to anybody who wanted the work done right.

  • On Friday I emailed Ashton  and sent photos of  a partially torn- away  wall in our laundry room. The wall was torn open due to a previous water leak and was subsequently repaired a few months ago. Ashton responded via email( my preference)in a timely manner and we agreed on a time onSaturday to preview the project. Ashton arrived as promised on Saturday looked at the project and quoted $350.00 to repair the wall.  He anticipated being busy this week and suggested he do the job on Sunday. As promised he arrived on Sunday and repaired our satisfaction on Sunday!

  • I phoned and left a message asking for a quote.  I originally was looking for a very rough estimate of replastering a bedroom ceiling that plaster had fallen.  Since I had no experience with this type of plastering, I needed to see if it would be in the ballpark of my budget to have the ceiling replastered to keep with the original design or if I needed to go a cheaper route.  Aston Hill returned my call and after I sent pictures, he provided a very very rough estimate.  I knew that it was well under priced since the pictures didn't represent the work correctly but it at least gave me something to start with and it was only verbal.  I then asked for Aston to come out and provide me with a firm written quote of the actual work required.  When he arrived on a Sunday morning promptly, I explained the entire situation and what detail I needed for a quote.  We had two bedrooms that needed work but one was more in dire need of repair than the other and the house was my fathers house and he would be making the final decision.  Aston did a detailed quote for me explaining every step he would be performing.  He also provided reference pictures of other work he had done. He also broke out the quote into parts if I were to do one ceiling or both.  This detailed quote enabled me to confer with my dad and he fully understood exactly what was going to be done.  He ended up electing to have Aston fix both ceilings to my surprise.  Aston was very busy with work and we were a couple of weeks out to schedule.  I had an urgent medical need to get the work done as soon as possible.  Aston was able to help me out and made arrangements to work on a Sunday/Monday to get the two ceilings done in two days instead of the quoted 2.5-3 days.  His work is flawless.  The plaster pattern he matched the ceilings to were very difficult but he did a fantastic job.  He also took video and pictures for me since I was not able to be there throughout the process just to make me comfortable with the progress. He cleaned up all work areas as if he was never there.  Yes, Aston may not have been the cheapest rate for repair but I honestly didn't care.  Gut instinct and the comfort level after we met, was a strong motivator in the selection of Aston.  I had no issues with leaving him work in the house alone.  His professionalism and respect he showed was something I can't say I experience very often.  Especially in the home improvement arena. In talking with Aston, he told me he won't quote a job if he is too booked  to actually  take the work.  To me, that says a lot that he is not willing to waste someone's time quoting a job if he can't do it.  I appreciate his honesty.  I would highly recommend Aston for any work and he will definitely be on speed dial for any and all future projects. One last thought, when I was researching the contractors on who I would just call for a quote, I read every single review on his site.  The most impressive thing besides the reviews themselves, was he responded to each and every one, positive ones included.  He obviously appreciates the effort of homeowners who take the time to write a review and responds.  Many other contractors only responded defensively to negative reveiws.  I was interested in more and it showed his character in his responses.  Thank you, Aston, for a job well done!
