Solar Panel Installation reviews in Lakewood

  • We shopped around for solar panel companies and we are glad that we settled on SunLux. We have been very pleased with our solar installation experience. We felt that they really care about their customers. We didn't feel pressured after the initial proposal. They gave us plenty of space and time to think about what we wanted and answer any questions that we had before coming to our final decision. Our Customer Service Manager, Garrett, gave us regular updates and was always ready to address any questions or issues that came up. We definitely recommend them.

  • We had Semper Solaris do our solar panels. Our experience w semper has been great. Throughout the entire process, Caesar Loche was excellent and supportive, as were other members of the SemperSolaris Team. To us, dealing with regular people and also with military backgrounds was key to choosing them. We love our Solar so far! Now we don't need to worry so much about running that A/C a little more during the hot summer months.

  • I called EZ Energy on a Monday and within a few days, they were at my house installing my solar panels. While EZ's team installed, they helped educate me on how much money I'd be saving by doing this. They were super professional, helped answer all of my questions, and over delivered on their promise. Happy to have met such a great company that actually cares about the quality of work they do for their customers. I would definitely recommend this company. They also installed my brand new AC Unit!

  • Groundup installed solar system on my house. I worked with Adi, he was very professional and knew the in and out of the process. They handled everything and all the work was performed professionally. I would hire Groundup again!

  • I had a great experience with a solar install from NRG Clean Power. I am an electrical engineer so I'm a huge nerd when it comes to the type of technology that I was looking for in a solar install. These guys use all enphase microinverters and solarworld panels, which is exactly what I wanted. My system has 16 280W panels, and it is working wonderfully. Once I said go, these guys were all over it. Sean Malloy was my sales guy, and he got the paperwork pushed through, and the permitting done in no time. The install contractors were all professional, and the job was done well. They also installed an upgraded main panel and installed a car charging station for my EV. I went from paperwork to system installed and operating in around 3 weeks. I would highly recommend these guys.

  • We were very happy with their service. The pricing was pretty high but well worth the quality of service was well worth it. The technicians were all very professional and gave great advice to help the longevity of the system.

  • Accurate Electrical Services is outstanding!  Their bid on this big job was slightly higher than the other bid I got, but was well worth it.  Their quality was apparent from the very first bid, which was line-by-line detailed, so I understood exactly what work they would do.  They estimated two weeks to complete the work, but finished in a week and a half.  The arrived on time every day, put in a good day's work, and cleaned up before they left.  They were all friendly, easy to work with, very professional, and they thought of and added a few nice touches that I would not have thought of, such as dimmer switches in some areas.  I would definitely recommend them, and will certainly use them for my future electrical work.
My house was built in 1968, and I had installed a 200 amp panel and photovoltaic (solar) system, but had done no other upgrades.  The system was clearly inadequate for current technology, and far from meeting current codes.  I had Accurate bid on both a complete rewire, and a major upgrade.  They felt the major upgrade would meet my needs, would meet current codes, and it was considerably cheaper, so that is what I chose.
The first thing they did was run new grounding wires throughout the system, and install new circuits where needed - in the kitchen, the office, one bathroom, and the garage.  They installed a total of 27 LED recessed can lights in 3 rooms, a hallway, and a stairway.  Where there were lots of lights, they added dimmer switches for better control of the amount of light - a nice touch that I had not considered.   They put the light over the kitchen sink and  the under-counter lights on separate switches, so there is very good control of which lights are in use.  They removed all the old outlets, switches, and switch plates and replaced them all with new ones.  They did a great job of hanging two  chandeliers in the entry hall, which has a very high ceiling, and they were careful of the elevation at which the lights were hung, relative to the entry doors and over-door window.  The upgraded the garage lighting, retrofitting one old fluorescent fixture to a new energy efficient T8, and installed two other T8 fluorescent fixtures near the work bench, one to provide general lighting and one as an under-shelf light directly over the work area.  They created a new exterior outlet at my front porch, and upgraded the other two exterior outlets with rain-protective covers.  They removed some odd old "accessories" that were no longer needed, like plugs for wall clocks.  The installed new exterior lights at the back patio doors, and a new doorbell for the front door.  And they installed ceilings lights in two bedrooms which previously had no "installed" lights.  The house is so much more livable now, and I'm delighted to be able to see what I'm doing, in every room and hallway.
Note that I purchased the light fixtures - pendant lights, ceiling lights, under-counter strips and chandeliers - and they provided all the recessed lights.  The only thing that had to be re-done was the pendant lights in the kitchen, because the first ones I purchased would hold a standard base incandescent light, and even though I had CFL bulbs in them, the City of Long Beach inspector would only accept pendant lights that were LED or CFL-only, so we redid the pendants with LEDs.  Following their work, I had the interior of the house painted.  In that process, one light fixture was incorrectly re-installed by the painter and was not working.  I also found one outlet that was not working.  Accurate's supervisor who had done this job came back right away and made these two fixes at no charge.  I am really impressed with how easy these people were to work with, and how good their work is.  I enthusiastically recommend them.

  • The installers were great. Their customer service representatives were dreadful, however. They are not helpful, they do not follow up, and I was told that I was told that I paid way to high of a price. I have contacted them about the price and they have been unresponsive. I have about 8 pages of notes that I typed out just to know what is going on.

  • We found everyone involved to be professional, hard working and cordial. Area was kept clean and kept free of any debris! Timeline of installation went as quoted to us and salesman, Nir, kept his promises. He was available for any questions or problems that came up. He was very friendly and easy to work with.

  • After attending a SoCal Edison seminar on solar power, at which several vendors had displays, I solicited 3 bids for installation of solar electric panels, 2 of which presented bids.  Ameco's was a well priced bid, and offered the best quality photovoltaic panels with the best warranty.  They have been in this business a long time, and I found that they had installed solar panels for an acquaintance of mine, who was very pleased with their work.
Ameco submitted the paperwork to qualify my installation for the California/Southern California Edison rebate, and ordered the solar panels.  Because I wanted to install a new roof, they coordinated with the roofer, and all went smoothly in spite of having to postpone due to rain.  Ameco works with an electrician, who replaced my 100 amp service with 200 amp, replacing the circuit breaker box with a much larger one.   After the plywood base layer for the roof was installed, Ameco mounted the brackets for the solar installation, and set in the solar powered attic fan.  The roofers then installed the shingles, and as soon as the roofing was approved by the city inspector, Ameco installed the solar panels.  They were careful to hide the electric conduit from the converter box to the circuit box as much as possible under the eaves of the house, and they painted the electric conduit on the roof to match the new shingles, making the hardware as unobtrusive as possible.  They have submitted all the documentation to Southern California Edison Co, my electric utility, and as I write this I am awaiting Edison's approval to switch over to the solar service.
I was very pleased throughout the process with the professionalism of all of Ameco's employees.  Everything was done on time, communication was good, they worked neatly, with debris cleaned up at the end of each day, and cooperated with the other parties involved regarding scheduling and inspections.  This solar system is a net metering system, so I look forward to getting a little money back at the end of each year from my utility provider, since I believe the system will generate more electricity than I will use.
Ameco has assured me that I can call them any time with questions, and encouraged me to call when I get the first electric bill, so they can explain its details to me, since there are taxes and fees that will still show up as payable on the bill, even if I owe nothing for the electricity itself.
