    Wadhams Construction
Excellent job. The crew showed up on time everyday in the morning and finished repairing my roof in a timely fashion. We wanted to install solar paneling on the roof as well and Wadhams Construction installed the panels and we are very happy with the work they have done. I have recommended them to my neighbors and would recommend them to anyone looking to go solar.

Two workers arrived at the scheduled time. They were very professional and worked on one of the hottest days of the week. They were very precise and careful in deciding where to install the turbine vents. The install took about an hour and a half. Cost was $375 - which I think was very appropriate for the work they had to do. Additionally, the owner educated me regarding some of the other older vent systems that were installed on other locations on the roof. They did a nice job cleaning up after they were done. I highly recommend this business because the workers were so conscientious and honest.

    Howard & Sons, Inc.
After several bids we decided on Howard and Sons roofing. They included upgrading our old outdated vents with a ridge vent and low profile vents. Ignacio Cesar Peinado was very professional and took the time to make sure we understood everything. He worked around our solar company scheduling and his staff were on time. He provided communication throughout each phase of our roof replacement and even provided cool drone photos upon completion. He was always available to answer any and all of our questions. I would highly recommend Howard and Sons roofing.

    Secure Roofing and Solar Inc.
TLDR---Ridge line vent took 3 tries to get right, and roll out also took 3 tries to get "mostly" right. After first completion, I noticed not all flashing was painted., and the roll out roofing for the flatter roof did not match the type of roof by a long shot. One small spot by the chimney between two valleys also used roll out, and was also wrong colored. The ridge line vent for the garage was never cut. They said they didn't realize I wanted a vent in the garage??? ridiculous, but hey didn't fight me on fixing it. They came back out, cut in the ridge line vent, and fixed the roll out. I inspected the roof again, and found the one spot by the chimney was not corrected. They corrected it by spray painting it a close color match. It will work as a fix, but now sure how long the paint will last on the shingle, which is a little frustrating. While in the garage, I realized the ridge line vent was not cut properly, across the entire ridge. It was 6 ft short on one side. I climbed into the attic to inspect that and found the same thing, it was cut 6 ft short. The excuses I got were wrong, but without arguing, they came back out to fix. The solar failed first inspection due to low hanging wires under panels, but that's not a big deal as the solar was already functioning. After day one of roofing, my kids found quite a few nails on the floor, as if they just forgot to pick them up, because they are easily spotted with big gaskets on them. Small amounts of trash were left behind, probably because of their size, as the men seemed to try to clean up after themselves fairly well, I was just expecting a better final clean. Lastly, we had skylights removed. not being a roofer, I wasn't aware the amount of debris that would fall onto my bed...a warning would had been nice, but I don't blame them for it. The roofers were friendly, and did not seem frustrated or irritated about constantly returning to fix work. Communication between the project manger was also consistent, with no issues in communication at all. Would use again depending on cost. If they were consistent with other companies, I would find someone else. Rated a "c" because at the end of the day, the roof looks good, the solar looks good, and if the roof doesn't leak, I will be happy.

My appointment was the day after Christmas. They assured me that was no problem. BUT, they did not show up at the appointed time. I called and they apologized admitted they dropped the ball, and got someone out here. Once they got here the work was good, very pleasant folks.

He seemed to have cleaned one gutter when it was another gutter I wanted him to do.  When our friend came that can get up and look, the gutter that I wanted him to do, was completely clogged.  He didn't dress appropriately to come to work.  He didn't ask which gutter I wanted him to do so I presumed he would do all of them; he didn't.  It was far more than a week after I made the purchase that he came out.  He kept saying I had to schedule on line.  I couldn't get on their website.  Finally, your people got him to call me back and we scheduled something.  But it was no instantaneous thing.  Frank opinion; he just comes across as a son of a *itch; you need me, I don't need you.  I paid no additional costs.  At least he didn't try to upsell me.  I was ill.  As I said, he didn't come looking like he was ready for any heavy-duty work.  He was here an hour or two and he came back and he said that was a dried up palm frond in one of my gutters and I just thought he'd go on from there, but then he just disappeared.  I don't know how long he was there.  I don't know when he left, anything.  It was a very strange experience.  I can't get up and see.  A friend of mine came and told me, the one that he could get up on a ladder; I have a bad foot, he said the one that I wanted clean, was not.  I didn't have him look at the others.  It never occurred to me that he'd be cleaning the other gutter.  I think we had some misunderstanding.  He didn't say what gutter do you want cleaned.  He didn't say do you want them all clean.  I forget that there are 2 back by the side of the house.  This one is right above the carport.  I live in a mobile home park and that's the one that the mobile home park is always screaming, "Clean your gutter, clean your gutter"; so that's what I was trying to do.  It was just a bad all around deal.  I think he should have helped me book, when I called and said I couldn't book it.  I think he should have done that right on top of it.  I think when he came he should have been dressed for cleaning gutters, which is not in nice clothes.  He had a nice short set on and everything.  I think he should have said, “What gutters are the problems?”  I understand it's a good price.  I did have somebody call me that had seen the ad and say I hope you don't think you're getting anything cleaned at that price because I charge $275.  So it probably was a fair price.  I'm pretty unknowledgeable.  On quality, I don't know because one he missed entirely, the one I wanted cleaned; and I don't know about the other two as I didn't have anybody check up after it.  On responsiveness, after he decided not to be a jerk and actually call me; responsiveness with booking an appointment was pretty good.  It wasn't too much longer after that, that he did so.

    Dennis Cook Roofing Inc
This company is great. Dennis had done the roof for us many years ago, but it started leaking during hard rains. Dennis came and fixed the leak, then gave us an estimate to redo our roof. After we contracted with Dennis and a date was set, the job was started and completed in about 2.5 days. The team of workers came at 7:30 AM on May 25, (as promised) and removed the old shingles. They completed the removal and cleanup in about 3 hours. They put down tarps around the house before starting the removal and cleaned everything up before they left. Later that day, the new roofing materials were delivered. Friday morning about 6:30 AM, the roofer arrived and worked all day. He had to repair a few bad places and install the shingles. He completed the major portion of the work on Friday, then returned about 8 AM on Saturday and had the job done by early afternoon. We are very pleased with the new roof and the efficiency of the workers. They even did some extra work cutting back bushes and trees that were in the way. I recommend Dennis Cook Roofing very highly and I will use them again.

    EL CAJON ROOFING INC
Wanted estimate for roof repair first guy who came without getting on the roof told me because of the solar I would need to replace the entire roof. I called the office because this is not what I was told a year before. And I also informed them the gentleman was very rude. They had the owner call me he apologized and asked to send another person who came out was very nice but took two weeks to give me a written estimates I did decide to go ahead because I had work done before by them that was great. The estimated was for 2100. I did not hear back for about a month at which time the told me the would send someone else out because they would not do the roof unless a completely replace everything and removed the dolor first. I declined to have them come out again.

    ARS Roofing, Inc
Terrible. We had ARS replace entire roof several years ago and have been trying to fix poor job ever since. They slapped on tar around chimney at the end of every rain season to find it not fixed next rain season. This last summer they took roof off and "fixed " poor installation and water damaged header boards and studs however they left a very poor drywall and paint repair. Had to spend $2,000 to fix bad job. Now we discovered it still leaking...not as bad. We think it is bad flashing at this point but have to get a real professional to look at it. Don't know how much more this is going to cost. Allan, owner of business, blew us off until we'd get nasty and never followed up on his guys work.
