He cleared the lint from places a non technician never gets to.  He discovered what was wrong.  The last month I'd had to dry 2 or 2 1/2 times to get a load dry.  He said the coils were done.  He replaced the coils.  He also found a bit that goes into the dryer that keeps the door properly shut.  That had been faulty since we've owned it the last 1 1/2 years.  He said the dryer is about a dozen years old and workin' fine.  He replaced the door piece.  It works great now.  Getting the door fixed was a bonus that he said he did not charge us for.  Being able to fix the machine rather than going out to buy another one for 10 x the amount of the repair cost was good for everyone including the earth to not dump another appliance in a trash heap sooner than need be.  An excellent experience all around.  I thanked him for coming out on Christmas Eve.  I also found the company to be prompt in communicating with me to arrange this appointment.

Have used this outfit for years for replacement parts and advice, they stand behind their products, and take returns well.  I consider them going over and beyond what is required.  It was disappointing to not see more parts available for very old appliances, such as my ancient 1989 Amana 3 door fridge, which I would have rather repaired than replace it with a new GE fridge.  The GE fridge is nice, but not as nice as my old Amana, and does not really give "cold" water for the fridge water dispenser, only lukewarm water.
Plus the Amana looked nicer, and did not stick out in my narrow kitchen as well, as modern fridges seem to stick out even farther unless going for an expensive "counter depth" fridge -
Overall, a very good place to buy parts, and find out what the cost of parts are for a repair - and buy accessories such as my Floodstop unit for the fridge icemaker -

    Premier Appliance Repair
EXCELLENT !!  Would rate A++, if possible.  They arrived at the start of their two hour window.  They had the part needed to fix the door latch on the washing machine (I had given them the model number when I made the appointment).  The washer was fixed in about 15 minutes.  They started and stopped the washer several times, opening and closing the door each time.  They checked out the dishwasher, which was immediately  draining every  drop of water through the bottom onto the floor, even when off.  I had told them I thought the damage was due to a rat that had recently been seen in the house and had requested knaw-proof drain tubing.  They told me no such thing existed.  They said they had seen the problem many times before and that the only solution was to get rid of the rats.   They even opened a new dishwasher box that they had in the truck to show me all the plastic exterior tubing that rats could chew through.  They only charged us for the washing machine and gave us a $35.00 Angie's List discount and also a 10% senior citizens discount.  They said that they would be happy to come back and fix the dishwasher when we got rid of the rats.  They were very professional and I will call them for any future appliance repair needs.

Ideal Plumbing Heating Air Electrical Inc
I would give Ideal Plumbing Heating Air and Electrical an A for diagnosing the problem, but I though he took a long time and their prices are a little bit more expensive. I don't mind paying a little bit more if I get an accurate diagnosis. He was punctual, but while he was working he was not in a hurry. He was fair and effective. He didn't charge me the regular rate, because there was nothing he could do. He didn't charge me the quoted rate, he charged me less. During the whole process I wanted to push him faster and faster, but in the end he charged me less. So I guess we are all okay. I will use them as my plumbing outfit as long as they continue to provide accurate and good work. So far I have had that. Overall I think they are more expensive than other plumbers, but I value the accuracy.

    Appliance Rescue Service
They did quite a good job. The dryer is 12 or 13 years old. It was less expensive than buying a new dryer. He was friendly and helpful. He spent rather more time than I wanted explaining things to me which I understood it the first time he did. He didn't have to go through it 3 more times. He was a very pleasant gentleman and he was an older gentleman. I am not sure that he thought that as a girl I could understand the mechanical stuff he was talking about. But he was very nice about it and he did a very good job. The motor had to be ordered so we had to wait for it. After the motor came, he came right out and installed it and cleaned up after himself. I called him when the dryer was making a strange noise about 3 days after he did the installation and he came right back out. The dryer is still making the noise and is probably going to make it forever now. He also didn't charge me for the return visit. They know their appliances and they do a very good job. It turned out that the price he quoted me, the motor ended up costing more than he expected so I think they got less than $20.00 because all the rest was taken up by the price of the motor. I probably got a good deal on that.

    John's Appliance Repair
The trip charge was $45, labor $110, parts $60.40 plus tax. The installed a new evaporator fan motor. The returned my call within an hour. John himself did the work. He was very presentable, courteous and willing to explain or respond to any questions I had. He returned with the part needed on the same day.

THEY REMOVED AND INSTALLED THE KITCHEN TOP STOVE. THE INSTALLER WAS VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH, AND DID A GREAT JOB ON INSTALLING THE NEW STOVE. WE NEED ADDITIONAL WORK DONE TO MAKE THE NEW STOVE FIT, AND HE WAS VERY GOOD AT BEING CAREFUL TO NOT MAKE A BIG MESS WHEN CUTTING ADDITIONAL TILE.

    Sears Home Services
MY EXPERIENCE WAS A FRUSTRATING ONE. THERE WAS A MIX UP ON ORDERING THE PART. THIS DELAYED THE SERVICE AND I WAS WITHOUT A DRYER FOR OVER 4 WEEKS. THAT WAS NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. ONCE THE PART ARRIVED, THE SERVICE WAS SCHEDULED IMMEDIATELY (ON A SATURDAY) AND THE SERVICE WAS SUPERIOR.
