    Trig Builders Inc.
Very good and professional company! always were on top of things, making sure that no shortcuts will be made and that we are happy with the work that they do. Our project was to remodel 3 bathrooms at our house and we worked hand by hand with Yossi and Odelia. Both of them were honest with us during the work, making sure that all the employees will arrive to work daily and that the schedule and budget are the main focus items that they must keep. we are in love with the remodeling project and we are looking forward to work with them more in the future.

    Harbor Construction
Mike really is a unique contractor. He is honest and forthright throughout. I called him desperate to find someone to install windows that another contractor measured. At first he said no like the 6 other phone calls I had made. Then he said he would come over and see if he could help us out. He even met the price of the contractor just to be honorable. Unbelievable! Then because he was so great I asked him to consider taking the stucco and paint job. He was hesitant b/c he wanted me to be happy so he went over to a neighbors house that has the smooth coat stucco, took photos and sent them to me with notes so I would know what to expect. Do you know a contractor that would go that far to make you happy? I certainly dont. Towards the end of the job we had a crazy deadline and he went out of his way to make it. Spent the day here to manage the crew. Even replaced an outlet himself. I wish he would do all the work on our home. I can not recommend Mike LaFirst and Harbor construction enough. Hire them. You wont regret it.

    George Parks Roofing & Painting
George Parks repaired stucco and wood trim as well as painted the entire exterior of our home. Chris was very professional, responsive and helpful throughout the process. Jonathan and his crew were punctual, clean and finished the job ahead of schedule. I will sleep easier knowing that we have the elastomeric sealant exterior paint on our home during the rainy seasons. I would definitely hire George Park Roofing and Painting again.

    Rick Jamison Painting
This is second time I've used Rick Jamison Painting for this project as it needs to be done every five years due to sun fading. When there was a problem with stain the company had a person out the very next day to make it right and it turned out perfectly.

    Rick Jamison Painting
Everything was perfect. Great response from beginning to the end of the project. Rick even had a referral for having the front door hardware refinished. My doors have a southern exposure and get a lot of sun, so Rick had Carlos give the doors an extra coat of paint. The doors look brand new. Thank you Rick and Carlos.

    Horizon Construction & Remodeling Inc
Well, I wish I had something fun and exciting like a room addition or kitchen remodel to talk about, but our project was just a boring, complicated, extensive repair/renovation. For more than a decade, every time we had a major storm, we got flooding in our family room, and every time we thought we had fixed the problem, when the next storm came, the water re-appeared. We talked to several contractors, and they all had pretty much the same opinion. Since we couldnt figure our the source or sources of the leaking, the only way to fix it for sure would be to completely remove and replace the stucco and paper from the rear of the house, and replace all the windows. This would also involve detaching and disassembling a large, wood patio cover, and then putting it back together. One contractor didnt even want to take the job. We chose Horizon due to a high recommendation from my brother who had used them for a kitchen re-model. The estimate and bid process was quick and smooth, and communication and scheduling with Enna and the office was great throughout. Mark was quick to address the problems, which were many, due to the fact that, as it turned out, our leaks were coming from more than one source. The quality of the work, for the most part was excellent. In fact, the building inspector commented that the workmanship of the wrapping job was the best he had ever seen. My only complaint is that the work of the window installers was less than stellar, but all-in-all, the final outcome was good. The color and texture of the stucco also perfectly matches the rest of the house. We did a water test, and all looks good. We wont know for sure until the next big storm, but Im confident that well have a dry family room. so confident, In fact, that we just installed new carpet.

    Irish Painting Company Inc
Beyond my expectations. They did an exceptional job of prepping the house before painting. The workers were on time every day, cleaned up at the end of every day and were very professional. You can't go wrong with this company!

    Lunar Painting
Great. They showed up as scheduled and worked several days straight through until completion. They even came out a week later to touch up a couple of minor areas we didn't notice before they left. Omar did an amazing job on the stair railings as far as color and finish. They bought the paint from the store recommended and approved by my homeowners association. Overall great job.

    OC Home Builders, Inc.
It went great. OC Home Builders, who I found on Angie's list, responded to my inquiry in a few hours. I had received three bids from highly-rated contractors. I decided to have OC Home Builders perform the construction. They pulled permits and started on the exact day that they had promised. We were amazed at their efficiency. Jim and America were great with all of their communication and their explanations and recommendations. The work was completed on time. Paul and all of the gentleman who worked on the project were excellent. We are very happy with the results. We now have a larger, more livable house. It looks as though it was completely original construction. The inspections all went smoothly.

    S&T Painting & Construction Inc
It did not go well, at all. Mr. Charrette does not know what he's doing and it's surprising that he was given a contractor's license at all. None of the paint was prepped before painting, therefore most of it bubbled and peeled (both interior and exterior), so had to be repainted several times. Epoxy was done incorrectly 3 times before I finally had someone else do it correctly. It also bubbled and peeled as a result of their poor prep. Kitchen cabinets: Between the poor prep, the sticky stain they used that never dried, and the soft-close hinges incorrectly installed, the kitchen cabinets were damaged beyond repair and all cabinets needed to be refaced. I had a brand new vanity installed in the master bedroom and not only did Steve and his crew leave an unfinished wall behind it, along with piles of taping mud all over it, under it, and inside the cabinets they never cleaned up, they also shimmed the vanity legs with folded over cardboard and bubble wrap (Yes! Bubble wrap!). Due to the fact that the work was so sloppy and sub-par, it had to be done again several times, and in some cases, completely redone by someone else. I had the walls painted before putting in the flooring, but there was so much touch-up paint work and ongoing repainting that they ended up getting paint all over the new floors, ceiling fans, light fixtures, etc. I paid for bricks to be re-set and secured with mortar around the property but they only did a few. Steve told his crew to make sure I didn't see the (still loose) bricks they were able to make "look" like they had been secured. This is deceitful and dangerous, particularly if children were out playing in these areas. Steve's crew cut a shower door wrong even though I had the two shower doors labeled as to which bathroom they were to be installed right on their boxes. I paid to have the perimeter brick pressure washed and it barely looked like they took a hose to it. They started off strong, showing up on-time for the first few days, but then very soon they were coming to the property later and leaving earlier using the excuse of traffic. Some days they didn't show up at all. They locked the key in the house several times and left the property unsecured (window open, lights on) other times. They even kicked in the brand new pedestrian garage door one time, rather than calling. They used bondo to try and patch the door, but did a poor job of that, too. That door had to be replaced for a second time because they ruined the door. When I called Steve out on all of these issues, and more, he argued with me, denied, deluded, and spun the truth so that he didn't have to take responsibility. And, he never did take any responsibility. He didn't pay some of his crew and, in fact, went so far as to make up stories about the person in order to justify not paying him. I hope that nobody else is subjected to this contractor's poor workmanship and lack of professionalism.
