    Howard's Custom Upholstery
    Their work was great. They stripped the chair and ottoman down to the frames and completely rebuilt the springs and padding, as well as recovering both. Elaine was great at recommending fabrics (and they have tons of different ones) and guided us to one we love. High quality, practical, made in America and beautiful. The chair is a family heirloom of 60-70 years. Now it is better than ever. And better than anything we saw in furniture stores. It looks and feels great! This was not cheap in any sense. We paid a reasonable price for truly outstanding work. We will have Howard's do our next upholstery job.

    It went very well, the truck arrived on time as promised. The furniture was unpacked, assembled, and placed where I wanted it to be. The drivers were wonderful, polite,clean and helpful. I just love the dining set if looks fabulous and is great quality. I would recommend 5th Avenue Furnishings to friends and family and I will be ordering again soon.

    Seemed rushed and not thorough so after he left I spent a few moments checking his work with a chromatic tuner. Many notes were so far out of the pitch sensor range that I knew his tuning would not last. I called him immediately and let him know but he had no interest in coming back to make adjustments. Sure enough 6mo later the piano is out of tune and he 3-4 keys that stick. Poor work and poor customer service for a $175 fee.

    The team was amazing. Great guys who did a good job. They had some issues with the washer on a tricky stair landing and broke one of my banister pillars. Initially NorthStar was responsive but now that I have provided them an invoice, they have gone dark and have not paid for the replacement of the pillar. This move has now cost me money to replace the pillar and I am getting no response from Monique at Northstar. I have followed up 3x.

    We purchased $8000 in major appliances from Pacific Sales/Best Buy, the Mission Viejo location. We bought all the appliances: an entire kitchen -- fridge, range, over the range microwave, dishwasher-- as well as a washer and dryer. This review does not cover the appliances themselves, this is about the service we got from Pacific Sales both at the store and from the "installers".

    I could go into detail about the sales people but I'll just sum it up to say that they are like bad used car salesmen. The ones I came into contact with knew very little about the products they were selling, and it's a good thing we are tech geeks and did our own research before we got to the store. We bought from them simply because their prices were good, could negotiate them down since we were purchasing a huge package, and they would deliver and supposedly install. They got it wrong on many levels at the store, including making me think I didn't know what I was talking about, and the appliance I wanted didn't exist, simply because they had trouble using the search function on their own website and the manufacturer's website.

    Then came the delivery and installation. In short, it was kind of a nightmare. It started when they couldn't find half of our appliances that were on their truck. I had to call Pacific Sales customer service for them to find my order on the truck that was sitting out in front of the house! That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the job.

    First, they couldn't install the washer because apparently I needed a plumber to install a drain pan which nobody at the store even thought to forewarn me about, although they were sure to tell me about other pieces that I *might* need but *had* to buy from them like gas and water hoses. The guy who spoke English (barely) told me with an attitude that they wouldn't be installing the washing machine and then left both it and the dryer in my garage for somebody else to figure out and handle.

    Then they wouldn't install the range because the size of the gas hose I was forced to buy from them was the wrong size for the connector I had. Good thing I had other professional installers there who would do their job for them and DID do their job for them and had the necessary parts. 

    The one thing they did install was the fridge and they didn't do that 100% correctly. They pushed it in too far and as a result we had to pull it out a bit just to get the doors to open fully.

    In short: the installers aren't really installers, they are simply delivery people who connect hoses and sometimes not even that. They cover their behinds by saying only licensed contractors or installers can install certain appliances -- but then why send out people who can't install appliances??  This is a MAJOR flaw in Pacific Sales' business. You should have either delivery people or installers and if you want to offer both then send out people who can do both!!  Home Depot does this, it's not a far out idea, Pacific Sales.

    Perhaps I would have been more forgiving had the delivery people been nice and had a work ethic. But they were lazy and rude and really didn't care. They marked up my walls. They left appliances in the garage that should have been brought inside and installed. Told me they didn't want to wait for me to get these issues sorted as they had somewhere else to be. They could barely communicate the problems to me and didn't really try to. 

    We were out of pocket over $500 in parts and installation to finish the job that Pacific Sales was supposed to do. The salespeople at the Mission Viejo location would not put a manager on the phone and he wouldn't return our calls. The "very best" that they did to make this right was to refund us $190 to partially reimburse us for the other installers and the plumber, but then they tried to blame us for other things like the gas connection which they told us was "not to code"! Which of course is complete and utter BS since #1, they have no clue what they are talking about and #2, our house is only 3 years old and was constructed by a major builder.

    We bought all of our appliances from Pacific Sales to try and save some money since we were buying everything but we'll never use them again in the future or recommend them to anybody else because the money saved is just not worth the total aggravation or inconvenience.

    The experience was positive from the beginning to the end. Armbay is very professional, patient, creative, has a very warm personality, and it was a pleasure working with him and his company. He listens to you, suggests, and explains every step of the design.The shelves created by him are easily my favorite element in my home. They are of great quality, they're beautiful, and I think I'd have to pay minimum twice as much to get similar results if I went with a similar quality store purchase. I'm happy we decided not to make them built-ins, as we can take them to our new place with us.

    Brad and Sam arrived on time and ready to work.  They removed all boxes and trash, and Sam even cleaned the floor under and behind the dryer.  Brad vacuumed the rug where he had done all the assembly.

    I am pleased with the results and would use them again.

    Ownership is dishonest. If you have an issue with an item you will probably be brushed off. They buffed out the Japanese stamps on a Tokuriki ring which was passed down from my grandfather in Japan when trying to fix a small crack. I feel Celso really felt bad about the damage since he knew the ring had a lot of sentimental value but after speaking with Gina Watson she simply brushed the damage off like it was nothing. She was not willing to reimburse me for the cost to have the ring sent back to the original jeweler to repair the stamp even after i showed her a before and after photo which clearly showed they completely buffed out one of logos. She instead wanted to engrave the logo herself. When I asked her if they buffed out a Tiffany's logo on accident would they just fix it themselves? She actually said yes. Does she even know how to write Japanese?
    I would beware. I would also look at reviews for their now closed Laguna Hills store which seemed to have similar issues.

    All American Appliance Repair
    I must say that I went in very skeptical about the service and costs based on past experiences with other plumbers and servicers.  This experience went far and beyond what I expected. I called and this company stated that it would be $75 for the service call.  If I went with them, there would be no charge.   Ray arrived within an hour of my call, and took apart the filter and repaired what I thought might have to be replaced, on the spot. We needed a new water filter and he even waited 20 minutes while my wife went to Home Depot to purchase one.  Total cost was $120 and far more reasonable than anyone else I called. Ray was simply terrific and I would use this company again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

    Apex Golf Carts Rental - Service - Sale
    Kyle was the Tech that came out to service the golf cart (Club Car).  He was very nice and easy to talk to, the job was done in about 1 Hour and the cart now runs like new.  Overall I am very happy with the results and here I am talking about price as they were very competitive with the other two companies around.  He will price match the other competitors as he did with us with the golf cart charger so maybe call around first and then give them a call as on the batteries they were much cheaper.  Hope this helps.
