    Mark C Petersen Residential Remodeling
Perfectly. We contacted several remodeling companies in December, and Mark Petersen responded quickly and positively in setting up a meeting to look over our bathroom & remodeling options. Mark was professional right off: he asked if wanted to do the job with permits/to code, which he recommended (we did), then asked what our hopes were. We communicated our rather pretty standard requests (new countertop and faucet, tiling our shower, new showerhead/faucet/drain, new light fixture, new fan, painting, anything else that came up, such as installing new whole-house wired smoke alarms per state law). Mark added thoughts & suggestions in response to our thoughts and questions, and he followed up over the next week or so as he kept considering our hopes for the bathroom, politely correcting some ideas we had and suggesting far more logical avenues. We agreed on a general time for the work to begin - late January - and before then, Mark came by and reviewed various options (paint, hardware, fixtures, etc). He communicated quickly, clearly, and thoroughly all throughout the process - and his demeanor is friendly, sincere, and professional. Once the job started, Mark and his brother Robb went straight to work, tearing out the old stuff, bemusedly fixing some piping and plumbing issues from a prior not-to-code installation, and starting install; a trusted tile person (see other review) came and did a great job over several days putting in the tile. At a midpoint in the process, the city inspector came to check on the work, and he left shaking his head -- in an impressed way. "These guys," he said, "are doing this the old way, the right way." When I told Mark that, he laughed. "Well yeah. Is there another way to do it?" So the job went: in less than two weeks, it's totally finished, and the bathroom looks great: modern, clean, well-lit, totally functional. Mark (and Robb and co.) were fantastic from start to finish. We can't recommend them more highly.

    Miller Building Company
Tim was easy to work with as were the tradesmen he brought in. I had no ill-feelings about leaving the house in his care. He also made good suggestions for vendors for cabinets (in a variety of price ranges) and tile.

    Mark C Petersen Residential Remodeling
Besides achieving our initial objectives, Petersen worked with the City of La Verne to be sure everything conformed to code. As anticipated, the project took 10 days, much of it for the preparation and installation of first-class tile work.

    Affordable Handyman and Remodeling Services
The end result turned out amazing!! We had been wanting new countertops for awhile and just couldn't justify the price, until we found this issue under the kitchen sink and knew it was time. So glad we found Jose and his team, I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They were all very professional. He has his own team that has worked with him for over 15 years. We needed the job done asap, so they came and gave us a quote on day, brought us quartz samples the second day, and came back a week later and completed the entire project in 2 days. We are very very pleased with everything!

    Pure Home Remodeling
Adi and his working crew demolished the master bathroom completely, relocated a wall in order to expand it and installing new Jacuzzi, large shower, double sink, light fixtures and more... Adi came to us after 2 meetings with the bathroom new layout and design that solved all the space issues that we had there and met our needs while at the end, all turned out to be very good. Adi is very knowledgeable and skilled! He kept us constantly informed during the remodeling and the work started on time while Adi was able to complete it on the exact schedule. The bathroom and the master bedroom area were kept cleaned with minimal dust to the rest of the house. There were no surprises whats or ever in terms of final costs or any unexpected remodeling issues. The final work is definitely high quality one and we thank them for everything they did.

    BONNEMA CABINETS
From start to finish, Jeff and his crew were on point. They did the tear out and installation of all the cabinets. Jeff coordinated all the other subs, paint, plumbing and electrical. We are next going to use them for a total remodel of our upstairs bathrooms.

    KB Construction Co.
It didn't. I don't think my restoration job sounded "big" enough for them (read $$$$$$$$$), because as soon as I mentioned that I live in a modular home in a senior community, I was informed that they wouldn't be interested in the job. Funny, up until I gave the receptionist these facts, she was very interested in the city I lived in, the name of my insurance company and even wanted the claim number my insurance assigned to my case. She was polite enough, but my guess she is trained to sniff out the higher value claims, or maybe has access to insurance company databases where she can look up actual insurance payouts. Otherwise, why would she want my insurance claim number in advance to anyone even submitting a bid for the work. Hummmm. My advice is unless you have a expensive job, don't waste your time with KB Construction. They are not interested.

    Skyline Construction & Remodeling
I am not certain of the date and it took months longer than original estimate. I originally posted a D in Angie's list and was contacted by the company asking me to remove the D and they would come right out and correct the problems. They came right out and said they would be back to complete the job correctly, I removed the D, and never returned. I could not find them in my services to do another review. Today I located the company while I was checking for different services. The company made custom cabinets and a re-finisher had to come out 3 times. The painter for the walls came out two or three times to correct the paint job. The finish was never really sealed well. I had custom quartz counters made to go with the custom cabinets. The measurements were short and the dishwasher, which had a cabinet panel on the front, stuck out about an inch from the other cabinets. I was told it would be too expensive to correct the error and told to buy a different dishwasher. The panel for the dishwasher was not installed correctly and has since fallen off the dishwasher. There is still wall paint on the bay window that I have not been able to remove. The ceiling cabinets did not meet the ceiling and the filler used was applied incorrectly and does not look straight. I had many electrical outlets installed.....one no longer works. The pantry had pull out drawers and the hinges have broken. The sub-contractors were terrible and, although the additional subcontractors that come out to fix the original problems were better, they recommended paying more to properly perform the remodel. I am very unhappy.

    The Plumbers Connection
We were in the middle of a complete re-pipe when a couple of unexpected issues were discovered. I found The Plumbers Connection on Angie's List and they were able to accommodate me with an appointment in less than 24 hours. Mike was the technician that showed up and I cannot remember EVER receiving such professional and competent service. Mike quickly identified and repaired the problem, extracted a foot of water that had accumulated, and then took care of a couple of other minor repairs while he was here. I really cannot say enough about him, Mike even told me that he would complete one of my repair requests if I insisted but that it was unnecessary and he explained to me why. You can believe all of the reviews and the Angie's List ratings, this company is honest, very reasonably priced, and knowledgeable! Thank you Mike for an awesome service experience and thank you Richard for sending Mike out so quickly. #customerforlife!

    Allison Plumbing
Allison worked around my availability and we were able to secure an appointment within a day of my first call. Our variety of jobs required clear communication and approval of quotes for each option. The tech sent to us, Doug, was easy to work with, able to work within our budget, and came up with solutions (and future options) for our situation. He worked efficiently and professionally. We are a family with young children, and Doug graciously worked around us.
I am a "hands-on" home owner, and often tackle my own repairwork, but the price, professionalism,  and quality of work from Allison Plumbing made it worth it to hire them. I know we will have more projects in our home, and I will be calling Allison plumbing in the future.
I would highly recommend getting a quote from them before beginning a plumbing project or repair.
