    Came when scheduled.  Called before arrived.  Explained important issues when arrived.  Gave helpful advice on replacing filters in future.  Customer oriented, without sales pitches for anything else.  Will definitely continue to use.  Used in the past for other work because of good reputation and in replacement of more expensive competitor who advertises extensively and tries to sell additional and unnecessary other work.

    Moonlighting Appliance Repair
    I have called the owner of the company who was also the technician who came out on the original call.  I called him numerous times because he still has the $100.00 that I gave to him to order the part.  In November I requested to him to give me a refund because he didn't come to install the parts that were ordered.  He told me he would send a check immediately.  I called him again when the check didn;t come.  Again he said that he had some health issues and would certainly get the check in the mail.  I still did not receive the refund.  It is now the end of December.He has had my money for 3 months and I have not received the service that he promised.   He actually called me 2 weeks ago and said he would come by my house and give me a cash refund.  He said "you have waited long enough".  Well, he never showed up at the agreed day and time for him to come by.  I called and asked him about the no show.  He apologized and said he would come by that very day.  He has never shown up or called.  
    I used Angie's list so that I could avoid having this kind of problems with the company that I hired.  I had the idea that most of the people on Angie's list were already interviewed by Angie's List so that the customer could hire them with some confidence.  I am completely disappointed in my first time using Angies's list..  I would have been better off using the phone book or asking my neighbors for recommendations.  I am out $100.00 with not much hope of getting it back.

    They quoted different services, so I could pick and choose what I could afford.  They did not try to up-sell me.  They advised against much more expensive and extensive work recommended by a competitor.  After I chose what services I wanted, they scheduled it quickly, came on time, worked efficiently and cleanly, and allowed me to pay by calling in a credit card to their office. Their quote was exactly as they bid earlier.  Totally user-friendly experience.

    He completed the parts installation is 5 minutes. Thoroughly checked the operation of the dryer, was very curteous and neat. Allowed me to vacuum inside the machine when he had it open for service. There is a ninety day (no further service charge) on the work. I have had no problem since his visit, so I think the problem was taken care of.

    I had Hyde come out to give an estimate for a washing machine which wasn't working. When I set up the appointment I asked for the technician to bring out a water filter for our refrigerator. I gave the appointment setter the model of the refrigerator and I was told not a problem. The technician was late and didn't show up with the filters. His response for not having having the filters was he didn't understand the note which was left for him but did not follow up with anyone for clarification. We have used Hyde's in the past and they have our credit card on file. When I made the appointment, the appointment setter did not disclose there is an $85 charge just to come out. We received our credit card statement to find out we were charged $85 without our permission or authorization. I am very disappointed how their customer service has really gone down hill.

    Desert Appliance
    On 8/12/13, repair team installed a new compressor which fixed the cooling/freezing issue.  However, the new compressor is very loud and produces an annoying humming sound.  A complaint was made with Desert Appliances and we were told that the compressor that was installed is better than the original and that it's what was shipped from the factory when the replacement was ordered.
    When the repair team came today to repair our dishwasher, they wouldn't discuss anything about the compressor noise or even acknowledge the noise problem.  This is extremely poor customer service when you won't stand behind your work for 30 days and your approach is not to discuss it at all.

    Pleased to deal with a professionally prompt and reliable serviceman. David, the owner, came to my house promptly and on schedule. He did the repair quickly and left no mess . He was at the house for the better part of an hour and charged a minimum amount. I've since learned that the appliance franchised repairman charges far more than David just to show up and than adds a labor and parts charge in addition. I'm very impressed and David has a new customer.

    I called the co. and got good service with the receptionist. She scheduled the appointment and even called the day before to confirm the appointment. The appt. window time was supposed to be from 8AM-12noon, however, the repairman came at 7:45AM! I was in the shower, luckily a family member let him in, or I would have missed him. He checked the washer and gave his diagnosis. No work was done, so can't grade that. Overall, it was adequate, not outstanding, but I didn't like not keeping the time window and his coming early.

    The technician said he would have to order parts and would need a credit card for that purpose. He was very confident that the parts would fix the problem. He returned in about 10 days after the parts came in. We had removed the dishwasher and sealed the access against rodents so the fix to the machine would not be in jeopardy. He installed the parts, installed and tested the dishwasher and it has worked well. The only thing is a new noise when rinsing but we have decided that it is not a deal breaker.

    I used this company to repair a broker control panel on my very expensive stove. They completed the repair promptly, but required my property manager to be available for a very long window (4 hours - as is customary for appliance repair companies) which was a slight, but not unmanageable inconvenience.
