    Pacific Pavers
I would highly recommend Jeff, Sam and their crew at Pacific Pavers. Jeff and Sam always kept me informed of how the job was proceeding; they worked around my schedule, and the crew was very efficient, polite and worked quietly considering the type of job they were performing. The job was also done days faster than had been estimated; which I very much appreciated. I would definitely use them again for any type of paving job.

    Pacific Pavers
I am so glad I chose Pacific Pavers out of the three companies that bid for my back yard project.  The Project Manger, Jeff Tobin was pleasant and informative about my needs and what would take place during the project. All workers were courteous and professional; all went as scheduled.  We are very happy with our backyard patio.  Thank You! Pacific Pavers.

Don was great to work with. He listened to our ideas and worked within our budget to achieve our new draught tolerant yard. His crew is great! They showed up on time everyday. They cleaned up at the end of each day and they worked tirelessly.. The project took about 8 days. Day one, they took out about 3600 sq ft of lawn and hauled it away. They rototilled and added soil amendments, leveled all areas. Installed a decomposed granite walk way that turned out really nice. Everyday was a transformation. Drippers went in, plants went in. Trees went in. What I really appreciated was that they dug holes for the plants, put in soil admendments and then filled the hole with water and planted the plants after the water soaked in. IMO this extra step gives plants less transplant shock and a better start in their new home. My yard came out great! Dons guys were fabulous. They were very knowledgeable in their understanding of plants and their needs. They were very competent in everything they did. The drip system, the flagstone path, the stone tree rings, the choice of plants, everything was done professionally, competently and better than I had envisioned. I'm not an easy person to work with, but Dons staff were very patient and very pleasant and accommodating. Thank you for a great experience and I would definitely have Don back and recommend his company highly. I wish we were in his regular maintenance area. That would have been perfect!

    LHS Landscape Services Inc
My first call for an estimate on the landscape plan was answered promptly and I was supplied with a written estimate that included options I asked for to control the price via email the next day.  The call to accept bid was again answered promptly, contracts were signed and I was given a date to start the project with a two week to completion date.  The work was started on time and finished on time.  The worker or workers, depending on the schedule, arrived around 7 and worked as late as 5:30.  One gentleman, in particular,  was very creative and quite the perfectionist.  All were pleasant to have around and were careful to clean up.   am very happy with the results and would not hesitate to recommend them and will be rehiring them to do my driveway.  A great experience.
    UPDATE...BEWARE
A great experience until I realized the sprinkler system had not been adjusted to fit the new landscape.  I have a walkway from curb to front door that gets well watered, a parkway installation that waters the front sidewalk, and lawn areas that don't get water.  Part of the landscaping has died and I'm subject to fines for disregarding the water regulations.  The contract does stipulate that the sprinklers will be adjusted.  I called and explained my predicament and Chon made one visit (when I wasn't home) and left a note saying he'd return in fall with replacements for dead plants (haven't seen him and it's November) and couldn't improve the sprinkler situation.  I've since called a sprinkler professional who explained part of the new installation was done incorrectly......and gave me an estimate of $1000 to correct each issue.  So, before the work started I had an adequate sprinkler system and now I"m hand watering.

Also, when I called the company to find out how to set up my timer I learned that I should have been given a remote with my system.  I called Chon and mentioned it and he brought it by.  Had I not called the company with questions I wouldn't have it now.

    ANDY DEYOUNG, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, INC.
First, because of the holidays, we played phone tag for 3-4 weeks. He didn't give up on me.   Second, my budget was limited, the landscape plans were very old and everything was in disrepair.  In 3 hours, Andy had completely planned a total landscape and gave me drawings to scale.   Pluses:  he really listened to me and my concerns, he worked around what was already there, he never criticized anything we'd done, yet he gave me a completely new up-to-date look that I love.  Lastly, when I asked for  recommendations for a contractor to do the work, he gave me the contractor we eventually went with and love.  I couldn't be happier.  Wish I had done this a long time ago.  He will be my first call should I ever move.

    FALKON CONCRETE-MASONRY-PAVERS
My husband and I had quotes from a few contractors for new pavers.  We went with Val because he didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need or want like other contractors.  Val's quote was within our estimate.  The price we received from Val was the price we paid.  There were no surprise at the end of the project regarding added cost to the pavers.  From beginning to the end, Val (the owner) was very responsive and very professional.  Our back yard had hodge podge areas of cement labs that was poured at different times and there were unsightly cracks in different areas.  The demo contractor came in and demolished and removed the concrete very quickly.  Then Charlie and his crew came in to prep the grounds to lay the pavers.  Charlie is very good at his trade and a perfectionist.  There were a few minor glitches, as with any construction projects, but Val and Charlie always made sure the situations were corrected very quickly.  Charlie and his crew installed about 1800 square feet of pavers in our yard and it is beautiful!!!  We would definitely use Falkon Construction again.

    System Pavers
Everything went well. They came when they were supposed to and finished on time. It took about one day for them to put in the pavers and two days to put in the synthetic grass. They hauled away all the old turf, concrete border , trash, debris, etc. so that the finished project was neat and clean. Workers were polite, friendly, and answered questions . The company was good about sending people out to inspect the project and contacting me by phone to see how things were. Good about telling me what to do with what little maintenance is required. At least, no more watering or mowing my backyard.

My only regret is I didn't get more estimates so I could compare prices.  First came across synthetic grass at the Orange County Fair and the cost of their grass was $10.sq.ft. Systems Pavers was the first bid I got and was pleased with what they had to offer and went with them. We added a walkway and had pavers  for the perimeter of the project  which we may not have gotten from someone who just did synthetic grass.

My wife is very happy with the project. We just got back from a trip ( before our project was done ) and one of the things mentioned with the men was " happy wife , happy life ".

    PVM Concrete Contractor
PVM was great! I highly recommend them as a concrete contractor.
They are family owned business, I met most them from cousins to uncles to brothers and the guy who started it all Dad. All great guys and very personable.
They were very easy to work with and extremely efficient. The job took three days, day one was grating the soil, day two lay down rebar and concrete and day three the retaining wall.
I received four quotes one last year (2013), two this year (2014). Their quote was the lowest not by a little, but by A LOT. The price actually shocked me. I kept thinking to myself if I was going to get screwed. I kept thinking about the old adage, "If it's to good to be true it probably is." Well it wasn't. I felt the price was very fair for the amount of work.
Not only were they the lowest, but the quality of work impeccable. Needless to say the concrete looks great! But they also when above and beyond.
They cleared out over grown bushes in the concrete area, and took them away. They also cleaned up after themselves.  I had some random large stones and bricks laying around the yard. They help me move the larger stones, place them in an orderly stack, and took away my old bricks and random pieces of concrete laying around. My house actually looked cleaner and neater after they left. Honestly, there was nothing else that I need to do to clean up.
They rinsed the concrete making sure they didn't leave any mud on the new concrete, and also cleaned the driveway removing any muddy footsteps.
    Great work!

    CALIFORNIA CUSTOM LANDSCAPE
We contacted Henry after speaking with 6 different contractors. We had an idea of how we wanted our front yard to look but we wanted creative input. The companies we spoke with were unable to meet our expectations. None would provide us with a design or approximate quote. In addition, some would not show up on time to set appointments. We met with Henry on October 10, 2013. Prior to his arrival, Anna, his secretary, notified us that he was on his way. We appreciated the heads up in addition to his timeliness. Henry came prepared with his portfolio and was able to provide the rough design upon speaking with us; he also gave us several ideas which added to the design. We received an approximate quote the same day. We were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge.
The work started on December 27, 2013 and ended January 13, 2014. His men showed up on time and were very courteous. They would also relay any concerns we had to Henry. They were efficient and would complete any work they had that day on time. When they left, they always cleaned up after themselves.
Anytime we wanted to make additions, Henry would always be available.
Henry's approach is very systematic. We let Henry choose the plants and lights and his decisions were always excellent.
Overall, his knowledge and technical expertise were very impressive.
We are extremely happy with the way our yard turned out.

    TREAT'S LANDSCAPING & MNTNC
The job started on time and was completed in a professional manner. The owner, Brian, was pleasant to deal with and honest. He had great suggestions for the plants to be installed in the planter. His crew were careful and kept us informed. The sprinkler design was great and covers the lawn area perfectly. The crew left the site clean every day. The bore under the back patio was more difficult than originally thought because of some buried large rocks and tree roots but they were persistent that they would get it done properly. It was a pleasure to deal with them and I would recommend them to anyone wanting a professional, reliable, and trustworthy contractor.
