    Sweetwater Plumbing
As soon as I finished filling out the Angie's list info, sweet water plumbing called and said they could be there in an hour or so, they showed right up and even sent a pic of the worker. He assessed the job and said it would be $850.00, not having the luxury of time I agreed. So he did the job. He dug a 2.5 foot by 1 foot deep back channel to cut the PVC pipe to allow for the new replacement connection then went for parts. An hour later he was back and worked for another 1.5 hours for 2 hours total labor. Knowing basically what was needed a 3 foot piece of schedule 40 PVC, a few pvc couplings, a Union, and a connector to the water meter (roughly 50$ in parts ($56 according to the techs response when confronted) and the job was done. So for 2 hours of labor and 56$ in parts it's a 850 bill. I wasn't aware plumbers were such a trained group as to warrant $400 per hour for their labor, even if you add the driving to and from plus running for parts it's still $300 or more. Now this is a mixed review as the guy was knowledgeable, punctual, and got things done fast, but the price was robbery. I called both the office and the tech and told them I can not give a decent review with this price. I was told his supervisor would call me to discuss things, following several hours of no calls, I called their office only to get a "they will call you" again. My 2 cents call someone else, and Angie's should dump these guys as not returning calls after overcharging is bad business.

Rooter Alert Plumbers & Sewer Contractors
They said they had to install a trap to do the service and it cost about $800 on top of the Big Deal price to do that. They never gave me any kind of invoice for the work done. We had to call them to have them come back to clean out the drain in the shower (this was included in the service; they couldn’t do it at the same time as the trap installation).

    RK Knight Plumbing & Rooter
Due to a county owned tree, there was a constant problem with roots in the sewer line.   Cleaned out once in April, but roots were just hanging out, waiting to re-enter.   Final decision was to line current pipe with what appears to be an incredibly strong liner.  Take that, tree!!!
Polite, neat, clean, willing to explain each step...great experience!!!

    Pasadena Concreteworks Inc
On Sep 22, 2010 at approx. 8:15 am, I spoke with Ron Leon and scheduled an apptointment for an estimate the following Tuesday at 2:00 pm.  Prior to our apptointment., Ron e-mailed me his references and pictures of previous work performed.  Ron arrived on time, he appeared to be very knowledgeable about concrete, and he was very professional. Three days later Ron returned to my home with an estimate and schematic drawings of the work his was proposing.  Unfortunately, Ron's estimate was almost twice as much as the other three estimates we had received.  When we informed Ron that his estimate was more than the others, he talked to us about other options.  For example, instead of removing the existing concrete walkway, he would repair the cracks in the walkway and instead of laying tile stone on top of the walkway he wouldn't do that at all.   We agreed to have him come back with a revised estimate.  However, his revised estimate was still more than the other estimates that we had received and these estimates included the removal of the existing concrete walkway and the installation of tile stone.  Of the four concrete companies I contacted to get an estimate, Ron was the most personable, informative, and professional.  I would have hired Ron if his estimate was more in line with the others that we had received.

It went extremely well.  Mike (owner) is very honest and knowledgeable. He and his crew performed high quality work using best methods.  The price was competitive.  Crew was highly skilled and cleaned up areas perfectly over the 3 days of work on a long steep driveway.  Mike supervised the entire process every day.  It was a pleasure having them work on this project, it could not have gone better!  I will absolutely hire them again for other concrete and retainer wall projects we have planned in the future.

We had a drain line leaking in wall. Kelly, the plumber, gave us an estimate and explained to us clearly what was involved. We decided to use his service because he was very professional and his price was lower than another estimate. He opened the exterior stucco wall and replaced a ten feet long cast iron pipe which was all cracked. He cleaned up the mess after his work was done. He also gave us a 10% discount because we are a member of Angie's List. We were very satisfied with the excellent quality of his work and his punctuality and professionalism.

Jesus Llamas. Handyman Cell 714-206-8417 He lives in Tustin, drives quite a distance for jobs. U S Citizen. He has worked for me many times and I recommend him highly. His specialty is irrigation systems and low voltage decorative/safety lighting for residential and light commercial. I expected him to give me a rough sketch or a list and he returned with a professional drawing, all valves and lines laid out, locations, circuits, all color coded, etc. Did a wonderful job. He also installs replacement windows and sliding doors, rough and finish carpentry, toilet replacement, simple household electrical work. He designed and built some storage for me inside and outside. Ask him for anything. If he can?t do it, he will tell you and not waste your time and money. Takes great pride in his work and is honest. I give him the key to the house. I like to work with him when possible. Very nice man to have around. Total spent well over $15,000 in 3 years. We had him do a great deal of work and it was all very professional. He takes great pride in his work.
