AD&M Landscape Maintenance Inc
Doug promptly returned my call and set a time to evaluate my needs. Doug was prompt and provided me with a competitive bid to fix a broken sprinkler line, separate two others, install new sprinklers, valve, and time clock. Doug arrived when he said he would be there and was neat and efficient.
I will definitely use him again.

AJorge GuardadoJorge Guardado has done some more work to me. He is wonderful. I trust him with all of the different properties that I have. Projects big and small, he has very high standards and totally ethical and wonderful to work with. He is not the least expensive you can get. In that respect, money is your issue, and might say that is a little high, but his work is so well done. I never ever feel like I am over paying. He will work until it is completed and not keep giving and short changing you, or not finishing that he would. You just still have anything to come back. I just hold a satisfactory from him.- Barbara W.

ACalifornia ArboristDid a good job trimming back trees and removing bushes from backyard. Afterwards, where some of the removed bushes were, our sprinkler lines were damaged and started leaking. Company was quick to respond and acknowledge the damage and fixed it. We will use them again.

FEnticing Landscape & MaintenanceI will now seek services from someone else, even if I cannot find anyone through Angie's List. As after being an Angie's List member for at least one and a half year now, I still have been unsuccessful in finding any provider for anything. Usually through Angie's List, I am referred to someone who is approximately 50 miles or more away.

FCalifornia ArboristWe'd had them out for tree service in the past & it was great. The owner came out for one of the tree service appointments & we mention that we were considering a sprinkler system. He worked up a quote for us & we hired him. When the project started he tried to charge us extra for things he'd already told us were included in the quote. We even called the guy that came out with him to corroborate the. The people who work for the owner are great & responsive - They even called a year later to make sure they system was good. However, the owner & Richard, the foreman of the sprinkler project, were more difficult to work with. There was a lot of back & forth between us trying to get what was quoted, the owner not remembering what was promised, & Richard saying he didn't know about the included extra work.
They also had told us that they had a contact with a concrete company who could put in a concrete mow curb that would outline the lawn. They said that if we hired them for the sprinklers they'd get us a contractors rate with that company. After the installation of the sprinkler system however, they didn't facilitate that process at first & told us to call the concrete company instead of them calling on our behalf. Of course the concrete company said that they couldn't give us a contractors rate. It took us telling CA Arborist to call them to get it done, but no one was happy about it.
There were other issues along the way, installing wrong sprinkler heads & various other mistakes requiring call outs. In the end, everything got done but it was stressful & quite a hassle.- Valerie G. -
ASeth Pompey LandscapingSeth's first estimate came too high for our budget. He then worked with us in detail to revamp the plans to fit our budget. We never felt pressured to go with something we weren't comfortable with. From the start to finish he and his workers were very courteous and professional. They were always on time and never missed days unless the weather dictated it. We have 3 daughters who at time were home alone while work was being done and all them commented that they never felt awkward. He came back after work was completed to take care of a couple of minor things. During the process he and my wife to get exactly what she was looking for.

APRO1DAYI had relocated to Texas and left my son in college in my home in La Mirada. We had several lawn services come out, but had continual problems, so needless to say the yard got neglected. Our sprinkler system had stopped working, and in general, the yard got messy. I called many companies and when they found out I was not living there the estimates started skyrocketing! As high as $1800 to get my yard into shape. I actually found Ric on the internet after exhausting the people close to my home on Angie's list that had reviews. Ric responded within 5 minutes to my email and he text me due to it being 6am in Los Angeles. I am two hours later in Texas and had not even thought about the earliness, but Ric was so very considerate, not wanting to call and wake my family. The consideration continued from there on. He gave me an awesome estimate! Hundreds less than the competition. My son text me that Ric and his staff were spectacular, five stars. After I got the after pix I could whole heartedly agree!! This is the best service I have ever had! He is even fixing my sprinkler system for a very reasonable rate, is upkeeping my yard and is very considerate about my ability to pay from a distance!! I have endorsed him to my realtor and other realtors I know and through my business page in Los Angeles. AWESOME COMPANY!!!- Susan B.

AWilhelm Sprinkler CoOur 20-year-old brass sprinkler valves were leaking, creating a small flood in the backyard. It was a Sunday at 5 pm. I went on Angie's List and contacted 4 different companies. 2 companies never called back, 1 company called back FIVE days later. Wilhelm was the only one that picked up the phone that day! Very nice to get an immediate response. They told me what to do over the phone until he could come out the next day. I gave him a B for punctuality because he was 25 mins late for our appointment and didn't call so I wasn't sure if he was still coming or not. He replace all 3 valves with brand new Rainbird ones in about 50 minutes. Fast, efficient worker. I had to pay by check because he said they didn't take credit cards but the company's profile said they do accept Visas? Not a major issue for me but I know it is for some Angie's List members, so thought I'd mention. I didn't rate the pricing because they were the only company that came out and gave me a quote, so I don't know how the prices compare to everyone else's. However, I did look up the Rainbird valves on the internet and it seems I could have gotten Rainbird models for half price at Home Depot. The wife (Christian) told me that the ones he replaced were of "commercial" value (and more expensive & came with a 5 year warranty) and not sold in box stores. A week later, I noticed one valve spit out water forcibly when it came on and dripped the entire time that zone was on. I called Wilhelm and they said he'll come out the next day while I was at work and they would leave a biz card to let me know they had been by. I got home from work and didn't see a biz card so had to call to find out if they were still coming. I was told that he was on another job and if he didn't get to me that day, it will be the next day but even that wasn't for sure and I wasn't given a time window. Turns out they didn't come that day. The next day, Christian, called to say they were coming. But it was her who came, not Tom. I would have preferred Tom since he was the one who did the initial installation. She told me the valves spitting out water was "normal" and they were "designed to function that way." A plumber had told me the same thing previously about the hose (not sprinkler valves) so OK. She said there was something they could add to the valve to make it NOT do that but that I didn't really need it and it would just cost more money. I previously had brass valves that never did that but the drawback was the chemicals in the water corrodes those brass ones over time. For us, the brass option had lasted 20 yrs though and if I had known all the choices, I still would have opted to replace them with brass ones to avoid the spitting problem. (They are 3 times more costly, though, than the plastic Rainbird ones. However, if they last 20 years, I think they're worth it.). Anyway, after she left, I noticed one of the 3 new valves was leaking. I had to call Wilhelm back again when the leak wouldn't stop even after 7 hours continuously. Chris said Tom would fit me in the next day in between jobs and that he will call in the morning to give me a timeframe of when he'll be out to my house. The next morning, I still hadn't heard back from them so I called around 10 am to get a timeframe. Left a message and within 20 mins, Tom called back and gave me a timeframe. He called again an hour before to say he was on his way (I really appreciated that since it was the weekend and it allowed me to do errands to know when he would come instead of just making me sit around all day waiting without really knowing like so many contractors do). He fixed the leak (the seal was cracked) by replacing that part. He also installed these spring-like looking things in all three valves to control the spitting water issue. I was so thankful for that. I didn't even ask him to but he did it because I think he realized how much it bothered me. There was no charge for that or the return visits. All in all, a very good experience. We had some snags along the way; however, the leaky valve was a fluke and not an installation problem. Getting them to return was a juggle because it is summer (busiest season for sprinklers) and obviously, this company is in demand. Still, Wilhelm was there for me when no other sprinkler company was.- Kim B.
