    This was an insurance case. Lenny evaluated the ice maker and determined the little motor was not working. He returned about a week later, replaced the ice maker motor and all is well. Originally another company had come out and insisted my ice maker didn't work because the coils were dirty. Watch out for Ash Appliance Repair; that "tech" was horrible and he lied to my insurance company stating he fixed my refrigerator. I had to fight for a second opinion and I won. I highly recommend Ca Appliance Repair.

    I called to see if I could have a repairman come out and look at my dryer. The dryer heat did not work anymore. I was given an approximate time when the repairman would show up. Rody showed up on time and didn't keep me waiting. After about 15 minutes, I was told the problem and how much it would cost to repair it. Once I gave Rody the approval, he quickly fixed it within the hour.

    Tried Angie's List (my first time) to get refrigerator repaired (It completely stopped cooling). Fortunately we had access to an old refrigerator in which to move all the contents before they spoiled or thawed. One of the choices for this repair had a "coupon special" and seemed local enough. I paid the introductory '$45 LARGE APPLIANCE REPAIR' after reading the details very carefully, as I strongly suspected that it was the compressor that had stopped (broken) due to the preliminary noises and then electrical clicking "on and off".
         That was mid-afternoon on a Wednesday. I received a response early that evening and I submitted the details of the problem along with the Manufacturer and Model # of the refrigerator later that night. Call from repairman came next morning to set up time on Thursday. Un C was punctual in the time frame requested, did his diagnostic confirming what I had already suspected, presented me with an estimate and two options: to install either a new compressor or a used one along with the total costs.
         When I asked what the time frame would be for getting the (major) part, to my surprise he had both--my choice--and was ready to go to work! I opted for the new compressor and work was completed within 3 hours. I have waited 24 hours as requested to confirm proper temperature levels in refrigerator and freezer, but they were both at correct temperature when we went to bed last night.
         Completely satisfied: standard 1-yr warranty, prompt service, fair parts price (I did call an appliance parts store the day before and price the compressor), and reasonable labor cost (quite a lot of work and special equipment necessary).

    We needed somebody to come over and fix the problem we were having with the washing as it was leaking. The repairman was able to diagnose the problem quickly and got the washing machine back on good working condition at a affordable price.     The provider came out to replace the cables in my oven and also the vent fan above the stove. My appliance is very old so it would have been very expensive to actually replace so the provider went in and replaced the cables and lights and got it working. He was very pleasant, he shows up when he says he will, his communication is excellent, he gives options and is prepared to work on older equipment. He will tell you if it is not cost effective to fix it.

    Jim did a good job at a reasonable price.  The price seemed a bit high, but in fairness to Jim, it was because the manufacturer's part was overpriced.  He was more than fair to me on his pricing.  The work has held up and was done in a short time frame once contact was made.  My only negative comment would be that it took me three attempts to contact him before I received a response.  He never responded to either of my first two attempts through the Angie's List message system.  I finally called him as a last resort before leaving a negative comment about being non-responsive.  Once I made contact with Jim, he was very responsive via texting.

    The thermostat on my built-in oven was badly off. My turkey took what seemed like forever to cook and at other times when I set the oven to 350, it would go up over 400. Pete came right on time and went right to work, taking everything apart and checking the ignitor.He was here about a half an hour, making adjustments to my knob and explaining how the oven works. I had been totally clueless.
    When he was done, I asked him how much it would be and he said, "Nothing. I didn't have to use any parts, etc." I couldn't believe it!
    My husband and I were so impressed and will definitely use him again for other things in our house. He's honest, just like his card says.

    He not only fixed the freezer, but he cleaned everything up with vinegar. Everything looks brand new. I couldn't believe it! He was on time, called me when he was on the way, kept in touch and did an excellent job. I'd recommend his company to everyone, including my own mother.

    We have used Pete a couple of times now and every time he's been polite, punctual, clean, well groomed, reliable, friendly, affordable, and honest. That's the most important thing -- honest. He has never gone over his estimate, even when surprises come up and he is at the appointment a little longer than anticipated. I've had people before who get frustrated and antsy to leave and rush through the job just because they have another appointment and hadn't allotted enough time for the unexpected. I cannot emphasize enough how much more at ease I am that he's installing my major appliances or fixing them. He explains what is wrong in laymen's terms. He educates you on how to avoid it in the future. He gives you pointers on which brands are the best, which models are the most reliable, what functions to splurge on, etc. Great people skills with the kiddies too (even when they are rambunctious and annoying!).
