    Morganne Landscape Design/Build
Having a engineering mind I need to have a talented design artist. I concluded my search by finding a true professional. Morganne!! What a pleasure working with her! She listened to our needs and ideas then created a designed environment that reflected our taste and lifestyle. Her suggestion enhanced our space. Her intuitiveness and experience brought warmth and delight ! Our outdoor patio and garden including walks, use of stone and plant choices encompassed a aesthetic balance and function of earths elements. Morganne, through skill and creativity was able to capture and fine tune our design. Her availability was a comfort and sticking to our time line..... well....was quite frankly a answer to our prays!! Morganne, Thank you !! I write this recommendation with respect and gratitude in appreciation for all your dedicated work in accomplishing our dream garden!!

"Install it direct" did our front yard/back yard in mt helix, san diego in last 2 weeks. New turf, 7 hole putting green, cement tiles/rock patio area, DG trim. They came highly referred by a friend of mine. Not only did we get professional service, but the lead artist/landscaper, Wilber was 2nd to none in his quality work, service, personality, and even suggestions to us. Wilber who was the foreman and ran the project made our experience very enjoyable and reassuring. i will be happy to recommend him and refer Wilber and Install it Direct out in future to my clients and friends!!

SD Home Turf Synthetic Grass Lawns
Overall we're happy with how the backyard patio turned out and the support we received from Cale Abramson. He was upfront, honest, and always quickly replied via email, text, or call whenever anything came up. Cale provided us with a free estimate which was ultimately honored, including the additional discount for Angie's List members. We also received estimates from three other well rated businesses we found on Angie's List but SD Home Turf was the cheapest by at least $2,000. The contracted crew was always punctual and the whole project completed on time. The quality of their work was good not great but we expected that since SD Home Turf was the cheapest out of the four estimates we received. At the conclusion of the project we noticed some minor cement splatter and light damage to the exterior of the home. This was fixed for free a couple weeks later which was greatly appreciated.

The work was done very intermittently. There was never a commitment to return at a specific time. The turf installed looks patched together in a checkerboard fashion rather than buying another bigger piece to fill the area. The irrigation is not running properly, resulting in overwatering some areas and under watering others. I have contacted the owner to come and fix the problem, but he has not shown up yet. A word of caution: owner and I reached a price for the overall work before the job commenced and it was laid out in a handwritten document which I signed and left with the owner. At the end of the job, he tried to charge $2800 more than the agreed price, but the work was only what was agreed upon originally. I recommend a formal contract with this company with specific work and dates outlined in it. Overall the yard looks great, but the experience with follow-up on irrigation and the price issues and timeliness have made me disillusioned with this contractor. The overall price was $10,289, which made me expect better service.

    River Rock Outscape
I asked for a quote on removing and re pouring a 750 square foot perfectly rectangular concrete pad, a small sidewalk leading to it, and rebuilding a retaining wall that is about 120 square feet. The quote was over $35,000. They wanted over $15,000 for just the retaining wall. A cinder block wall. Nothing fancy. My driveway was $6,000 and is 800 square feet, and they wanted almost triple for the same amount of work. They did not tell me anything about minimum job requirements, they just sent me the highest quote I have ever received. Even with the 30% discount coupon through Angie's List, their quote would still be about double what other's have quoted. They were very professional, but please look around for more affordable options. I believe they significantly increase their rates to offer what seems like a great coupon online.

    Timberwood Landscape
Jon was responsive, knowledgeable and took the time to understand what I wanted along with making helpful suggestions for a practical and attractive end result. Our back patio was extended with our choice of pavers, and around 40 plants of various sizes were distributed on a section of a sloped back yard and bordering the perimeter of the patio. New irrigation drip system was laid and covered by mulch. Jon and his crew of 3 showed up daily, were professional and left the site clean and uncluttered. Our neighbors even commented on how quiet and professional they were. Jon kept me updated and involved throughout the week long project to ensure I was happy. I considered the price to be very reasonable and was most pleased with the end result. Jon has checked in since and will be stopping in again next week to review the progress of the plants and adjust the sprinkler system. All in all a win win for this simple man who doesn't make decisions lightly!

    Modern Pool Works
He did a wonderful job.  It took longer than he thought, and he had rented the equipment to get rid of the boulder, but he didn't charge us more than his quote, even though he had to pay to rent the equipment for a longer time. The wall looks beautiful, and there's no paint peeling off or anything else. It's a beautiful space back there and I've had no issues with it. We thought his prices was very reasonable. We wanted something extra done when he was halfway through the work, and he had no problem doing that, and his price for the additional work was good.

    Natural Aspect Gardenscape
In summary: 1) Bob was not flexible with his time.
    2) Bob was not creative with his pricing.
    3) Bob Is not interested in being competitive (what makes a business good).
    4) Bob will find excuses if he does call.
    5) Bob wont touch anything unless his "profit margin" is very high (meaning expensive for the client). He only offers a discount for jobs that cost $10,000 or above????
Lastly, never trust a landscaper who has a P. O. Box and not a physical address (red flag to me)

The 6 men that arrived, including Pedro Yanez, were all very courteous and obviously very knowledgeable about sprinklers and plants.  They did not all speak English, however Pedro Yanez is very fluent in English and communicated directly with his crew.  They buried most of the new poly pipe they installed, so the sun would not rot it without damaging already growing plants.  My yard is very different than most.  I have an acre on a 30% slope that is terraced.  Because of very mature landscaping and the age of my low flow sprinkler system (at least 25 years) the installation took longer than it normally would, all of the 40 hours.  There are a few minor sprinkler things that will still need repair, however they are now manageable.  All in all in am extremely pleased with the work and caring attitude of A PASSION FOR GARDENING and their employees.
