ARon Rice Painting & Consulting (R.R.P.C.)Ran and his crew painted our newly remodeled home over 16 years ago and it was time... Ron's quote was fair...He was not the lowest...He was not the highest...so my trust in him to go a great job was my concern. The crew was done cleaning, prepping and finished in less than a week and his crew was here every day before 8 am. Job site was clean and an inspection of the exterior revealed no runs or missed applications., We had some stucco damage and they took care of that and painted that entire side of the house...We are doing a small addition and I will be calling on him again to do that work.- mike c.

ABORG CONSTRUCTIONIncredible!! Matt and his team are miracle workers. An incredibly hard job to crawl under our old house and replace 120 year old corroded, rusted pipes. Matt and his team were amazing. He has been our 'go to' contractor for about 20 years (porch, two decks, install washer, dryer, water heater, and now new dishwasher after old one broke and caused water damage to kitchen, which he also repaired.) Matt feels like a member of the family. He is a really good problem solver. He'll tell you the problem, your options and the costs and pros and cons of each option. He is honest, considerate and very easy to work with. His costs are commensurate with, or less than others might charge, but much easier to work with. I would never use anyone else!!- Donna M.

AMatrix Construction Group Inc.Matrix constructed a balcony addition for our two story home. Initial meetings with Matrix were detailed and they were able to answer our questions and respond to any concerns. They provided a detailed schedule and a cost breakdown. One of primary challenges encountered during the construction was the Covid shutdown. Matt did a great job communicating with and coordinating the subcontractors, and dealing with the city inspectors who were also in “lock down”. Matt communicated needed changes to our architect to obtain updated drawings for the city inspector. He also worked well to keep us informed of the day to day planning and progress. Matt was open to discussion and flexible as we progressed with the construction. One late addition to the project was a spiral staircase. Matt guided us through each phase of interviewing and selecting a contractor. Matt and team handled: • Patio concrete demo • Framing • Sliding door cutout and installation • Electrical (fan, heaters, lighting) Subcontractors contributed with: • Concrete footings • Waterproofing and decking • Stucco • Glass balcony wall and railing • Gutters Demo started in January. With rain, covid, drawing changes, design tweaks and city inspections, the project was completed to our satisfaction. Matt has a great crew, and family supporting him in the office as well. ABest-Rate Repair CompanyWe used Best Rate 5 years ago to replace 50 feet of fence top cap on an old sagging fence that was lacking proper base supports. During the top cap removal they used wood shoring to keep the fence straight and fused 16 footers of kiln-dried redwood using 45 degree angle cuts and long 16" screws to create one very long top cap to straighten our sagging and crooked fence to look brand new. We had selected them because they paint all 6 sides of the replacement wood prior to installation, and we have a terrible time fighting wood rot at our place. Their repair has stood the test of time and still looks great at the 5 year mark, so when it came time to replace some termite infested top cap on the other side of our property, they were at the top of our list to do the job. This time, as a repeat customer, we had saved up 4 full days worth of repairs involving a lot of details, so we were a bit apprehensive as to whether it could all be accomplished, and also worried whether the experience would be different from 5 years ago. What followed was one of the most pleasant experiences we've had to date with any company. The people behind this company understand what the customer wants and they deliver on every point in flawless execution. The process moves smoothly and effortlessly from scheduling the first appointment to the final completion. You can always reach them and they always respond. Service just doesn't get any better than this. They have consistently sent out organized teams of very skilled carpenters who work efficiently, but with attention to details to deliver high quality precision work using intelligent, well thought out solutions. They are very receptive and attentive to your needs and any special requests you may have. They were so neat during the 4 days of work it was hard to tell where they had been. They take care of your things, leaving no damage and there's absolutely no clean-up necessary after them. They take care of everything and they won't miss anything on your list. Instead of feeling the usual stresses, we actually enjoyed having them. We feel they are the best in town for wood construction. They do very high quality lasting repairs. You can certainly spend less with other companies, but end up having to do the repairs more frequently. After 30 years of fighting wood rot, we are glad that there are still companies like this which have not compromised on the quality of the repair. FThey gave me a totally ridiculously high estimate on a small pergola extension. About twice as much as a total new one. Funny how they call themselves Best Rate. Also asked them for referrals to someone who would clean and re-stain. They never gave me any. Also had to call them for the estimate. They never called me nor did they remember me when I called even though it was only a few days. So not personal or caring or responsive or creative service. They sent a salesman-type to the house. Need I say more?

AThey did a large patio for us and a front walkway and steps. They were very professional and worked with us to get the design we wanted. They were delayed to start due to some equipment breaking down and they were occasionally slow to respond to email, but not too bad. The patio and walkway look great and their recommendations on the pavers were perfect. I can recommend them to anyone in San Diego.

AWhat can I say? Asher is the best! My wife and I have been dealing with horrible contractors for a while and we can never find one that listens to us, makes us feel trusted, and follows through. But we got so luckily we found Vision Remodeling. Asher spent over 4hrs just to just to get to know us and how to better serve us. He also was very attentive to all our needs throughout the process. He listen to our ideas and gave us a ton of options from a stylistic point of view to what's best for the money. To top it off he gets the project done fast! Without a mess. He also comes out after the project is done to make sure you are completely happen with the result. We had very minor touch ups, which we were accustom to just do it our selves, nope not Asher. He saw the touch ups and took care of them himself. This is definitely high quality service and I strongly recommend him for your home improvement investments!
