Lighting Installation reviews in La Jolla

    Integrity Restoration, Inc.
Because of a water leak, we lost the use of two bathrooms. I was not looking forward to the reconstruction. I contacted Integrity Restoration and they immediately were on the job. Cindi came out to do the estimation and then assigned Patrick as the contractor. Patrick saw to it that everything ran smoothly and that the work was done correctly. All the workers, especially Marcelo, were on time, neat, clean, courteous and performed their job extremely well. I would highly recommend them.

    Shea Electric
Work was professionally handled. Installer was on time and performed the work quickly. He also had a needed part with him, that was not previously identified as needed until work was started. I was very pleased with the work performed

    Juniper Landscape Company
Really well. We were very happy with the initial project, and the ongoing work has been high quality. [I highly recommend using the same company for big projects and the follow on care. Juniper has done a great job making sure our new outdoor living areas stay beautiful.]

    MK Builders
The only criticism I have is that from the start of the Job it was difficult to establish a work schedule/completion date. That aside, Mick's crew did great work! I've hired my share of contractors in the city. From my experience it's rare to get the quality you pay for. All aspects of the work performed turned out excellent. I would definitely hire MK Builders again.

    C & H Gardens Artistic Landscape & Tree Service
Kent and his crew did an excellent job for us. The quality of the workmanship is superb, the plantings look excellent and the construction of the pergola and patio are top notch. This is a very professional and nice crew to deal with. Their knowledge of construction and esthetics are exceptional. They are extremely curious and cleanup was excellent. This project came in on time and on budget. We are very please with C&H Gardens and would recommend their services.

    A-Team Residential Remodeling
Jeff is the best and I heartily recommend him and A Team. He is honest, works hard, meets deadlines, doesn't try to play games on costs and produces very high quality work. He tells you if he goofs up (which he rarely does) and fixes it. If there is something truly beyond the original scope, he let's you know and let's you know how adding it affects schedule and cost. I had this work done in Southern California while living in England. Jeff worked with me remotely, sent LOTS of pictures and made sure I knew what was going on. Doing a local job with him would be a breeze. I'm very happy to give a direct reference if you want and Jeff has my contact details. There are no reservations or caveats in my positive review.

    Point Loma Electric
Point Loma is my new GO TO electrician. They are professional, know what they are doing, communicate very well and are priced reasonably. When replacing multiple similar fixtures, they made sure the replacement looked good before doing multiples, even though this made them return to the store to get a different fixture on a fixed price contract. Very tidy, on time. In a market where a contractor can really cause problems, they are a great find.

    Alpha Handyman
Fred (the owner) contacted me promptly for an inspection for the job and provided an estimate.  I was impressed that he also provided this estimate in writing within 24 hour but before work started (for which he showed up promptly).
He was pleasant to work with and made sure he understood the task (my speech is poor, so this required some effort on his part).
Not only was he--and his assistant--fast and the work very good, but he also came in significantly UNDER the estimate given.
I have high ceilings which are difficult ti get to, therefore, I expect to use his services frequently in the future.

    Shea Electric
Kevin Shea is super competent and great to work with. The job was complicated because of access from crawl space and having to feed wires to existing wall switches. He needed to come back with different parts and made 3 visits is all.

    United Plumbing Heating Air Electric
I used an Angie's List deal that was originally for a service call plus $99 towards labor/materials for a total value of $249. However on the day Bo came out they had a new deal at $79 for $249 credit towards labor/materials. I asked Bo if he would honor the new deal and after a few calls to the office he said they would. I had the materials already bought so he just provided the labor for some simple jobs. However, he said they charge by the job - not by the hour. So to change a dimmer switch cost $59 out of the $249 credit. When I asked why it cost so much for a simple five minute job he only said because they might run into other electrical problems. The other items were equally high priced and quickly used up the credit. So beware they charge assuming they will run into other problems even for simple basic jobs - even if they don't have any problems. He was ontime and courteous. By the way, be sure to check the work done. I didn't check the light timer until later and discovered it didn't work.
