  • Kent and his crew did an excellent job for us. The quality of the workmanship is superb, the plantings look excellent and the construction of the pergola and patio are top notch. This is a very professional and nice crew to deal with. Their knowledge of construction and esthetics are exceptional. They are extremely curious and cleanup was excellent. This project came in on time and on budget. We are very please with C&H Gardens and would recommend their services.

  • It went very well. RAD was recommended to me to perform an inspection of the slab foundation of a small multi-family property and assess foundation possible solutions for a second structure, a turn of the century beach cottage. From scheduling the inspection, delivery of the inspection findings and proposals to repair some cracks found in the multifamily slab, and provide a foundation for the beach cottage, owners Russ and Diana were extremely responsive, helpful, and patient. The inspection findings, as well as the proposed remedies, were clearly and patiently presented to more than once I should add!--and my follow-up questions were just as patiently handled. I was present for the repair and met several other RAD employees, each of whom was polite and professional. we also enlisted a structural engineer through R.A.D., whose pre-and post repair inspections and assessments provided us with a longer warranty. For the work performed. The Structural Engineer who was brought in as our R.A.D.'s client, was very bright, efficient, professional, and nice. This aspect of the service involves an additional cost ($1,000), but we felt it was important to have an independent evaluation of the foundation before and after RAD's repair. The experience with RAD has probably spoiled me. In Essex County, New Jersey, where I live, we have NEVER had such a positive experience, until last week when I engaged another Angie's list tradesmen. With respect to cost, I note that we did not seek other bids for this job, because RAD came commended by a home inspector we highly respected. So, we aren't in a position to rate the cost of the repairs. But the price seemed reasonable, given what was involved. We note that the amount we paid shown here ($4,000), includes $1,000 for the Structural Engineer's involvement. Due to the extensive work needed for the cottage, we elected to hold off on the work needed for it, which is going to be expensive and extensive. But based on my experience with RAD on the above property, I will certainly use RAD to perform the necessary work on the old cottage. All round, RAD is a class act: friendly, expert, highly professional, staffed by very nice and knowledgeable people. The foundation work was just the first step in a long renovation process which was kicked off from the other side of the country. This could have been very stressful, but right away, from my first contact with RAD by phone, I had the impression that we were in good hands. And we were. One last remark: A few days after the repairs were completed, I noticed a crack on the outside of the foundation that I thought might be a concern. I photographed it and sent it to RAD. They assured me this was not significant and only associated with the slab cracks which had been repaired. But they wanted me to be completely comfortable, so they committed to return to the property to take care of this, with no additional charge to me. It was a pleasure to work with these fine people and I recommend them enthusiastically.

  • Tony and his employees were very professional.  Tony came to our house to evaluate our project, give us some suggestions, and take measurements.  He kept in touch with us on the design, price and dates of service.

Everyone was on time, prepared to do their work, and very clean.  The project went fast because of the preparation Tony did.

He told us the time line and he kept that time line.

The finished fire pit exceeded our expectations.  It is easy to turn on and off, looks great and a great additions to our patio!

We will use Tony for other house projects that come up.

  • This was the second project for which we used Parker Concrete. About 7 months ago, we replaced a crumbling driveway apron. That job was done extremely well, and so was this one. The crew started on a Monday by demo-ing the existing retaining wall, which was leaning severely toward our driveway. On Tuesday the crew dug a trench and prepared the site for the new concrete. The concrete was poured on Wednesday, and the crew did a careful job of smoothing it out. Finally, the crew was back on Thursday to remove the remaining wood framing, backfill the dirt that had been removed to make way for the new wall, and take care of the final cleanup.
The job was handled from start to finish professionally and with admirable attention to detail. We were very pleased by the outcome. This is a high-quality firm with reasonable prices. I would not hesitate to recommend Parker Concrete to others.

  • Outstanding in all respects. Dave Parker is a solid professional who obviously takes pride in his work. His crew reflects Dave's professionalism. They worked efficiently and effectively and knew exactly what they were doing. I was especially impressed with the time and care they put into the finishing touches. The completed driveway apron looks great, and I was delighted with the results.

  • Brett initially was very prompt in responding to our inquiry (ID'd on Angie's List) last month.  He came by our house to take a look and provide a quote on landscaping/softscaping work we needed done.  He promised to provide a quote within a few days.  Everything fell down from there.  He never provided the quote.  After repeated follow ups, he continued to promise to provide something.  Nothing was ever provided and eventually Brett stopped responding altogether.  Don't waste your time trying to work with Brett.  Save your time/money for a real professional.

  • Their price was a little bit higher than the two other bids that I had, but they were comparable and came highly recommended by people who had used them. We also had a few add ons. The work included removal of old driveway and walkway, installation of new drive and walk with brick banding, replacement of irrigation and regrading of ground adjacent to the driveway. We have received many complements on the project from neighbors and friends. I have had some bad contractors, but this guy was good. I was really pleased.

  • Great - they were here when they said they would be and worked hard start to finish. We will have them doing some additional block wall work for us soon. There was some T&M for things I added to the original proposal and it was very reasonable.

  • The work was outlined with a schedule complete with lots of details. The several groups of workmen (floor men, plumbers, cabinet people, painters) were coordinated and didn't either get in each others way nor leave us with an incomplete job for weeks. The workmanship was excellent. They cleaned up after each day's work, and the whole process was amazingly dust-free throughout. The cabinets are handsome, and we leave the new pantry door open much more to show them off! The recirculation pump works properly, delivering hot water without delay to the far end of the house. We will look at our bills after a few months to see whether the extra electricity costs less than the water and gas needed to get hot water throughout the system in the past. We were quite satisfied with the workmanship, the timing, the efficiency, and the results of the job.

  • Same day response to my request for bid. Owner showed up within a couple hours of my phone call. He was knowledgeable and personable. However, due to the small job size, his job quote of $950 was extremely high. I ended up getting it done for less than half his quote.
