Lighting Installation reviews in La Habra

    EXCEL CONSTRUCTION LA
We are so happy and amazed with our remodeling project that included new kitchen, bathrooms, patio and entry of the house! Eyal was wonderful in every step of the remodeling process. He was extremely experienced, honest, straightforward and brilliant designer and executer. During our meetings Eyal was very patient and really listened to everything we said. After the remodeling job was finished, we really felt like Eyal is our new friend now! All the crew who was part of this remodeling project including the office staff, were skilled (each one in his own trade) and went above and beyond to do and finish their tasks within the time frame that was given to us by Eyal and his office. We know for sure that we will definitely hire Eyal and Excel Construction again in the future! We keep getting so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful job they did for us at our house.

    Kyle Beym Home Improvement
We had a 50+ year old home that had not been touched since it was built. We planned an install to include new tub/shower, toilet & sink/vanity. Unfortunately, the floor in the upstairs bath had been repaired by the previous owner due to an on going (unknown to us) leak. So in addition to the planned remodel, we had to have the sub-floor removed & replaced. Kyle gave us the best bid and was able to easily work around our ever changing schedule. Kyle provided recommendations & measurements for the supplies and we were able to choose and purchase what we preferred. Kyle's crew was professional & polite. Everyday, they worked long hours, cleaned up and would let us know when they would be returning. In addition to that, the work was outstanding and exceeded our expectations! Professional, pleasant, precise, meticulous and beautiful! We have no reservations hiring Kyle Beym Home Improvement for any future remodel project.

Install My Lights - The Recessed Lighting Company
Install my Lights is the best contractor I've ever worked with. Tonny came by to give an estimate right at the time he said. He emailed me the estimate later that day. And he responded quickly to all my follow up questions via email. Installation was fantastic. Victor and whomever he was with did great. He called me when he had questions and confirmed what I wanted. He installed smart dimmers I purchased separately and even installed a smart switch for a pre-existing ceiling fan. Work was done as cleanly as could be expected. As communicated pre-installation, I will have to do some minor paint touch ups, but it wasn't a surprise. Plus, my complex isn't always the easiest to figure out how to get into. Not once did these guys bother me for directions. That's rare. So, they did a fantastic job... at a decent price... working with me on what I wanted vs limitations of my condos pre-existing structure... and did it in an efficient manner without wasting a single second of my time. Perfect.

    Excellence Electric
Raymond was responsive and punctual and very helpful, and his team was quick and clean. Raymond was patient and explained what was needed and how it would be done. He offered alternative solutions in order for us to save money. Excellence Electric did such a great job and was so easy to work with we have had them back several times to assist with installing lights, fans etc. No job is too big or too small for this company, they are great!

    Pure Home Remodeling
Adi was extremely planned, well-mannered, specialized and easy person to work with and mainly to dealt. He helped us from the early stages of the remodeling by planning the new layout and selecting all the relevant materials and finishes for the two full bathrooms remodeling project. All the materials that he provided for us were of high quality materials. He also was very reachable by phone and he visited our house each day during the week in order to check the work of the crew, approving each stage and addressing all of our questions, comments and concerns. More than that, the working crew was reliable, prompt, hard-working and organized. During the work, we noticed that they always focused to the original plan making sure that each item of the remodeling will be no less than in perfect condition, but also very open to our suggestions when we had any. The quality of the bathrooms is by far the most superb one that we ever saw due to all the attention to all of the details. We could not ask for anything better than what we got from them! We are very happy and pleased with the work and we will definitely use pure home remodeling for future projects.

    Supreme Remodeling Inc
Superior Remodeling and Micky Kanian did a great job. Micky walked us through the project. He answered all our questions, giving us good guidance on materials and colors. Worked with us to get energy saving items on the Hero Program. If not personally available for consultation, there was a toll free number with a human being on the other end to take messages, with him responding by the next business day Any issues were addressed in a quick and professional manner. He was clear on his schedules and scope of work which made it easier for us to get our appliances on order and whatever we need to buy in time to prevent delays. I love the new windows and am really looking forward to using my new kitchen and laundry room. I would use Supreme Remodeling when we are ready for Phase 2

    Steve Cavenee Electric
Steve's guys worked fast to find the source of the problem and found out within 20-30 minutes.  Then they fixed the problem and with time leftover (I had paid for 2 hours), they helped me with lightbulbs in the bonus room where I have cathedral ceilings.

    Gil's Electrical Service Inc

They arrived on time and ready to work.  Be prepared for the up-sell.  I was already interested in upgrading to LED lights however the original upsell of $85 per light was way too high.  When I told the project manager, Tom, that was too much money, he called the office and got the "authorization" to offer at $65 which I accepted.  (Note:  conversation not in English, which I personally think is rude).  4 LED recessed lights for $455 was competitive when compared to other service providers on Angie's List.  There were a total of 3 electricians who went right to work to install the lights and they were very efficient in completing the job.

The install of the additional GFCI outlets was more problematic.  I had one existing outlet at the center of my bathroom vanity wall.  I told Tom that I wanted that outlet eliminated so that I can patch and paint over it and 2 new outlets to be added, 1 at each corner of the vanity.  Tom did not verify with me the exact location where I wanted outlets placed.  Because of this, additional holes in my drywall wall were made.  I want to note that Tom seemed upset that I did not take his advice to keep outlets where his original holes were made.  This attitude seemed to be reflected in his subsequent work as he did not use the nice rectangular cut-out used for outlets, but instead hammered opened large drywall holes from first location.  These extra holes ended up costing me an additional $50 in drywall repairs.

Since there was no vanity light installed at this time, (in middle of remodel), Tom asked me if I wanted the lines for the vanity light "capped-off", (sorry, not sure if correct electrical term).  I said yes and told him I wanted to patch and paint over the vanity light lines.  I asked him how I could do that with the large metal plate he had just placed and he got a hammer and slammed metal plate into the drywall and said "there you go".  After the work was completed, I found out from my plaster guy that it is a violation of code to patch over "capped-off" electrical lines.  I was amazed that a licensed electrician did not know or think to tell me that. My perception was that they were more interested in the up-sell and getting out as quick as possible.

I stopped payment on my check and requested a different electrician from Gils' Electric to come out to look at the work.  His team followed the lines and told me the lines to this outlet run with the kitchen outlets and additional work including kitchen drywall demo would need to be done at an additional charge.in order to resolve.  I chose to leave outlet as is at this time as I cannot afford the additional expense.  I did ask that they deduct from the invoice the $25 fee I incurred when I stopped check payment pending resolution.  He called office, (once again, conversation not in English), which refused.  He said if he did allow, it would come out of his paycheck, (really? come on!).  ( I paid invoice minus $25).

What I have learned:  There are a lot of electricians out there.  If you don't like their attitude, even after buying a Great Deal, send them on their way and look for somebody else.  And make sure you write a review so you can help fellow consumers like myself!

Sam and his workers painted the garage, added few lights and repaired the floor including the paint.

    Affordable Electric Service

This time I called to upgrade circuit breaker and install new outlets in a home office. Called three times to set appointment to come out, left messages twice, spoke to him once and never got a return phone call to set up appointment. Very disappointed.
