  • Because of my husband's job, we have been moving a lot and always had good experiences with our previous moving companies but this one has been awful and extremely stressful.
    Jeff Pink (the owner) came at our home for an estimate and seemed very professional. We have a big and very fragile painting and specifically asked him to NOT wrap it with any cardboard or paper. He assured us that he would never do that because his company "always" use moving pads for paintings. He also said that he was the only company that would accommodate our needs and expectations for this moving and delivery dates, and that he would be our moving coordinator from the first to the last day and would always be available for any questions or concerns that we would have, which was good because we had to rent a place in DC to wait for our delivery and needed clear answers to all our questions. We decided to trust him after we read good reviews online.
    Our experience has been terrible. First of all, after the contract was signed, Jeff Pink sent us an email to ask for 50% of the total amount at loading which was absolutely not what we agreed before. Usually, reliable movers do not ask you any $ before delivery. That was the first red flag. Then, we never got any news from him and had to email/text/call without getting any answer from him. We did not know how long we needed to rent a place in DC which was very stressful for our family. Once arrived in DC, we still never heard from him. After harassing him by text, he finally replied that he didn't have any control on his contractor (because they are local, they don't deliver but deal with another moving company) and that he would try to get some information to know where the truck was. This was 2 days only before the delivery day. Finally, our moving was delivered one day late which we learned the night before, so we had to sleep on old mattresses on the floor because our rental was not available anymore and the hotel night was too expensive for us. I forgot to mention that I am pregnant and that we have two young children. It was a nightmare! And of course, no phone call or apologies at all.
    End of the story: the truck arrived and our moving was delivered but one of our bookcase had been broken, and our painting seriously damaged because it had been wrapped with paper, so the varnish got stick against the paper. Worst of all?? We filed a claim but just got $100 for all - the last joke from Pink Transfers -. Jeff Pink NEVER called us, apologized or fixed the problem. This company might be ok for local moves but they are totally unable and unprepared for national and cross-country moves. I truly was dismayed by Jeff Pink and how unprofessional and unfriendly he has been till the end. Of course, I would never recommend this company to anyone and would just run away from them, even for local moves.

  • To keep cost down, we asked them to concentrate on the larger, heavier furniture first. The package we had purchased was for 3 men for 3 hours. This turned out to be just enough to cover the larger furniture. Addl time would have cost over $100/hr. (We ended up moving most of our own stuff, all weekend) The guy managing the crew was courteous and professional, but when they arrived, one was smoking (outside of the truck), one was wearing a "Legalize LA" t-shirt, which we didn't feel was a professional presentation. (Like, why don't they have co t-shirts? Or plain, solid shirts would have been better, if there's no uniform provided.) It's just, when you're paying ppl by the hour to do some physical labor, and someone shows up like that, it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. (and, as it turns out, the crew left behind some of their moving equipment, and had to go to the old house to pick it up. The mgr made it clear they were going to be docked for that. It didn't affect us, personally, but it did show a certain carelessness that we had been wary of)
    Overall, they did a fair job, (they didn't break or lose anything) but I wouldn't necessarily recommend them or hire them again.

  • Piano mover, Marc W. was the ultimate professional.  Moved family 1918 Steinway grand with great care and knowledge.  I was amazed that such a move could go so smoothly from start to finish.  Reasonably priced as well.

  • The service went well. The move was about 20 miles away. They did this work in one day and 3 mover came out to do this move for me. They were efficent, they took care of our furniture and wrapped it well to prevent damage. I did some pre-packing, but what was left over they helped with the rest of it.

  • The move went really well.  This is the second time we used this company - they moved us out of our old apartment and moved 1/2 our stuff into storage and 1/2 to the new house in June.  Both times they were easy to schedule, prompt to show up the day of the move, very efficient in loading / unloading the truck, careful with our belongings and easy to communicate with.  They did a great job wrapping up hard to move items and disassembling large furniture, and it was magically how easily they got the couch moved (it was a major ordeal to get it into the apartment when we first bought it).  The price was very reasonable and the 3 man crew made quick work of the job.  The first move (large 2 bedroom apartment split between the house and a storage facility) took just under 8 hours.  And the move of our stuff from storage to the new house took just under 3 hours.

  • These guys were awesome!  They showed up right on time, and were super professional and friendly.  They worked really hard in very hot weather, were careful with our belongings and finished in a timely manner.  Since we paid them by the hour, we appreciated that they worked quickly and didn't drag out the time.  
    Also, I called on a Monday to book them for Wednesday, and they fit me into their schedule when a couple of other moving companies couldn't.  
    We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, hard workers at a great price!

  • darn I wish I would have known about the Angie's list discount.Overall, Ivan listened to my concerns and remembered where everything was supposed to go.They were careful and efficient. Nothing broke.  They were done in 2 hours.  It would have taken me 2 days.

  • They offloaded my upright piano (full-size, professional quality), antique pump organ, and antique furniture from the rented box truck I used to move from TN to CA.  They transferred the items into the house, set everything up properly in the appropriate rooms.  Polite, professional, and considerate...all the time thinking through the best approach to handle these large and special items.  A great service provider.  I've used them before, and I'll use them again without hesitation!
