  We interviewed 4 contractors to update our decades-old kitchen and Mike���s professionalism, experience, and honesty about what was realistically possible to stay within our budget and pass inspections while still getting the kitchen that we want, stood out from the rest. We knew instantly that we wanted to work with him. We hired Mike in December and he started the job in mid-January. Although we kept the basic foot print of our kitchen, everything was torn down and replaced. We did manage to stay fairly close to our budget; some minor adjustments were made along the way, but we were so relieved it was nothing major - just additional reinforcement for safety & longevity, so well worth it. There were a few unavoidable delivery delays (due to rough weather up north and back east) but Mike kept us informed and worked around them, still managing to complete the job in 7 weeks.6-8 was the prediction. Mike kept good records, gave us receipts for every payment (we paid as we went for each stage of construction), and he always explained everything. My husband and I have never had any major renovations before, so we were obviously newbies, but Mike was patient and understanding. He honored each reasonable request and made a good argument for the ones that wouldn���t be worth the investment. He made clear to us in the beginning ���don���t be afraid to ask for what you want, because you won���t be happy unless you do.��� Even if I couldn���t do absolutely everything, Mike made sure I never felt I was compromising and often came up with a better solution. Mike and his right hand man, the polite & hardworking Joseph, and all of the other subs always showed up on time and were courteous and professional. Some of the days were long, so I didn���t always mind if they weren���t able to clean up every single day. If a cleaned-up workspace is important for you, just let Mike know. I noticed in some of these other reviews, they complement the cleanup, so Mike will know if it���s a priority of yours. As long as it���s clean when the job is done, that���s all we cared about - and it was. Mike even came back after all the work was finished to make any tweaks necessary. He even went out of his way to get me a touch-up kit to keep the cabinets looking beautiful for years to come. I know this is long, but renovations are a big deal and there are so many things to consider. Fortunately, we picked the right person for the job and every moment I spend in my brand new kitchen makes me grateful that we did. I highly recommend you consider BMO for your next big job. I know we will!

  This was a complex project as Jack had to coordinate different parts of the project with his workers, carpenter, and iron rail installers. Every step was reviewed with my Wife to ensure it is what she wanted specifically. It was all done to coincide with our schedule, and all work was precise, area cleaned, and excess removed. Flawless work and worry free for us.

  It was beyond excellent, BMO construction services and knowledge set such a high bar in perfection and attention to details that no other contractor can even come close. I am an engineer myself who is extremely picky and loves watching the work while it is done, not too many contractors like that and Mike passed with flying colors even with my extreme pickiness. The finish on everything he did from tile work, to flooring to painting was like a picture glued on the walls and floors, his tile work is out of this world, the grout lines are even more square than a straight edge. He is a contractor who not only pays attention to details but also loves doing the work himself including plumbing, electrical, tile, cabinetry, there is nothing he can't do or know. His subs. for hardwood flooring and painting were excellent too. Actually, his painter Yota was a magician than a painter, I called him Michael Angelo. With Mike you actually get a real licensed contractor who does the work himself and stays with you all day, he is very selective since he does one job at a time, he is not the type of a contractor like what you get in these big colorful advertisements in magazines, where they show up 7:30 AM just to drop 2 guys to do the work and you don't get to see him again until 5 PM. Mike is there with you on every big and small, not only doing it himself but advising you and warning you on what needs to be done. I must have interviewed a dozen of contractors for my project over a 12 months period before I decided to go with BMO. I waited for Mike at least 3 months because I am a construction engineer myself and have dealt with many contractors and I knew what type of contractor Mike was from the first time we met and decided that no one else would fit my picky and high finish standards. All these big colorful ads in remodeling magazines are big scams, as in most of them you really not calling the contractor himself, they are just a telephone service taking down your details just to send you a sales rep. who is trained to pursued you in signing a contract, like a used car salesman by showing you all these wonderful pictures of previous work and you think this is great this is my dream prince contractor who is going to work on my remodeling, you are very wrong, once you sign the contract and he gets his commission you will never see him again. When the construction actually starts the real contractor or a supervisor finally shows up only to drop a construction crew in the morning and they briefly get directions for that day and off he goes to another job, you don't see him back until 4:30 pm. During that time no one is actually supervising the work or all the corner cuts and the sub standard work that is being done. With Mike he is there all the time because he is doing it himself or supervising his subs. If you have a project don't hesitate a second to call mike, he is worth waiting for and deserves every single penny he asks for because he will give you your dream finish and well engineered product, he checks and double checks everything. Most importantly, he started on time and finished before the contracted time, he even came back after the contract was over and been paid in full to repeat some fishing touches that he was not happy with, they looked fine to me but he wouldn't let it go. He is even more perfectionist than me which my wife couldn't believe such person ever existed. Thanks Mike, Miguel and Yota for all the hard work and for putting up with my extreme pickiness!!

  Jen Hardwood Flooring

  The install team arrived on time and were very friendly and efficient. They did a good job of sealing doors and sealing off an open kitchen area to prevent dust from flying all over. We have a heavy piano that was in one of the rooms and I asked if they could move it back after they were done which they did free of charge. They also repaired one small section and it turned out "good as new." I would highly recommend JEN HW Flooring to anyone needing new flooring and/or resurfacing.

  Preferred Home Builders Inc

  We wanted to freshen up our 20-something year old kitchen a bit without going overboard financially. We worked with Omri from Preferred Builders. He is knowledgable, professional and a meticulous note taker. Over the course of a few meetings we exchanged ideas about our plans for the kitchen remodel. Omri wrote down every detail, told us what we should buy ourselves (new appliances, paint, floor tile). We kept the majority of our existing cabinets that I refaced myself, saving a few bucks there. Omri did as much cost saving calculations as he could and a price and start date was agreed upon. Demolition started on time and we began a little over 3 week period "living" in our living room. All the craftsmen that worked on our house were pros and never left a big mess around the property. Omri would check in regularly on the progress. When tackling a big job such as this, expect the unexpected. My electric panel kept popping circuit breakers. To bring the system "up to code" a new panel was installed ($$). The pressure regulator for the house water supply decided to give itself up from overuse during construction. The plumber was called in to replace the old PVC system with an upgraded copper configuration ($$). The realities of a project like this seems to say that whatever price you are quoted for the job you better figure an extra 10% on top of that. Every problem was addressed and solved even if it cost me a little more. In the end though, we came out with a beautiful kitchen just like Omri promised.

  Before each and every project Jack visited our home to measure and inspect. In his shop he showed my Wife the options he had available for her to select and found choices for her if she didn't see it initially. He then gave us and itemized estimate of the projects cost. He then scheduled the work around our schedule. When each project was underway he called us ahead of time to make sure the schedule still worked, and always made sure the work areas were free of debris and clean when he finished for the day. These projects included laying laminate flooring, and ceramic tile and before he did this work he repaired the sub floor so that it would lay correctly. His cabinet and vanity installations were measured and installed precisely.  All of the plumbing work and electrical work that was necessary for the remodels was done either by Jack or his associate contractor so that the projects were completed in a timely fashion. At the end of each day at our house before he left he would check with us to make sure we were satisfied. Each and every one of the projects done at our home was flawless.

  Royal Oak Flooring, Inc

  The bid price was higher than we hoped, but the two bidders had essentially the same price. They made it clear that there would be no nickle/diming, and there wasn't. So things like changing how we wanted mouldings, replacing broken or damaged floor joists, etc., were just handled with no upper. The only increase was when we discovered that what we thought were good subfloors were actually just old hardwood floors with new hardwood laid over. This also increased the time to complete. The craftsmanship and quality of materials was excellent. they did little extras like cutting in mouldings around stair treads where they could have done a simpler fit. The work crew, led by Eddy, was very helpful, polite and worked hard. Eddy is a master craftsman. every day, they cleaned up everything inside and out where they were cutting, and neatly stacked all tools and materials, and frequently hauled away all debris. I thought their days were a bit short (8:30 - 3:30, including cleanup and lunch break) but it's hard work. We are very happy with the outcome and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

  It's very impossible to write and say so many good things about Nir's work and how he did the remodeling for me. Before I start, I must state that I'm a single mother that was looking for any contractor that will be able to do a room addition and mostly, to be honest and reliable person because my knowledge and experience with construction is slim to none. Before I hired anyone, I interviewed about 5 other contractors before getting a hold with Fine builders (Nir), all the other contractors, provided me with pretty much the same style of estimate with nonsense answers to my questions and concerns.  From my meetings with them and reading the estimate, I felt that I had no idea what���s or ever about what they were attentions to do or more than that, what they really considered as the final cost. Nir, on the other hand, provided me with a detailed estimate that included:- Estimated cost of the entire project; - A detailed projected weekly of the work schedule (for example: week 1 & 2 - foundation and framing; week 3 & 4 - rough and electrical, HVAC and roofing completed, etc.); - Additions and options of items that I can add and how much will they add to the total price;- Payment schedule and to whom I should write the checks for.The workers that were assigned to the remodeling at my house were efficient, professional, friendly and easy to talk to. They made sure to clean up the work site every day. Nir and his office, made sure to inform me about anything that I needed to know especially when the city inspector supposed to come over and what were the results of the inspection. Nir was also very polite and easy to work or deal with. I never had the feeling he was trying to push, pressure or squeeze more money out of me, in fact, during the whole remodeling, he was just the opposite. I will definitely use Nir again, and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

  SOD Builders

  We hired SOD builders to do a remodel our kitchen. Oren was the main contact and he was excellent in responding to any of our phone calls and texts. He provided us with an estimate that was comparable to rest of the 3 additional estimates that we got as well. Oren includes his 2 supervisors arrived to the house and provided us with so many ideas for a better layout, which included moving one window to a central location in the wall. The following day we noticed that there was a problem with that same window that required us to either leave the window, or to move the electrical panel and at the same time, to increase the total watts. Oren recommended us to increase the watts of the panel so it will help us in the future so we did took his advice and replaced it. There were few additional issues that also came up during the remodeling and Oren address them to us quickly. One of them was the uneven paint and a water leak from the kitchen faucet. Close to the end of the kitchen remodeling, we had a problem with the grout that start to come off and we informed Oren about it and we asked him to fix it. Oren did send someone over within a few days to regroup the area. After that issue that Oren made sure to fix immediately, we were able to use the kitchen and to enjoy the great design and implementation of the new kitchen. The workers did a great job and they worked pretty fast so it will be completed according to the original plan.

  They did an excellent job. The flooring consultation in their showroom was very helpful. They arrived on time at the job site ready to work. They kept me informed of things that needed to be done.  They took pride in the quality of work provided. I would go back to them to do another job.
