Irrigation System reviews in La Canada Flintridge

    Camacho Gardening Service
He found broken sprinklers, valves and updated a broken 20 year old Rainbird clock which I can control from my phone. He arrived when he was expected, guaranteed his work, and came back when one sprinkler was faulty. I have hired him to return once a year to check the water system. I highly recommend him.

    Automatic Sprinkler Controls Inc
Automatic Sprinkler Controls did a very nice job rehabilitating a complex irrigation system on my hillside property while addressing other landscaping tasks. And the crew worked so hard that it seemed like there 3 guys on the job instead of 2. Communication skills were way above average and everyone had a great attitude. Owner Marty was easy to work with and brought a lot of experience to the project, offering solutions Id never imagined. It was money well spent.

    Brandons Landscapes, Inc.
Dealing with Brandons Landscapes was a huge disappointment. Last August, Brandons Landscapes contracted with me to perform extensive landscaping on my property. During his initial visit, the owner assured me that their lead-time would be 4 or 5 weeks between contract-signing and the start of work, with the understanding that that period might be a bit longer given unexpected circumstances with preceding jobs. But after that the owner would never speak to me again, and weeks turned into months still with no start date scheduled as the Holidays appeared on the horizon. Most frustrating was the nothing-burgers I was fed by the office manager in reply to my requests for a start date; an irksome talk-to-the-hand attitude Id never experienced with any other contractor, well-reputed or not. And while I waited in good faith for them to act, it became more and more apparent that Brandons Landscapes was not interested in making me a happy customer, if they indeed had any intention of fulfilling our contract at all, because by then it sure didnt look like it. In fact, the only effective action they took during our business relationship was the prompt refund of my deposit upon request. That didn't give me back the time, though.

    Buildcal Landscape
This contractor unexpectedly cancelled our contract on the day work was to start. In my opinion, Arin Dolatian, the owner, displayed poor communication and organizational skills. He cancelled a number of meetings at the last minute, requiring delay and rescheduling as early as his initial appointment. Unfortunately, I didnt recognize these incidents as the red flags they apparently were. While I'm somewhat disappointed, I'm also somewhat relieved. Take a look at the text of the email he sent me cancelling the project at the last minute: "I apologize but unfortunately I have to pass on the project since only today's delay somehow messed up my schedule although I mentioned delivery was today and start job on Friday and port kan can't deliver anything until end of next week and that's the only company I would like to use. Being said, my whole schedules will be messed up and it might take me months to adjust my schedule if I delay my jobs for a week. It would be easier for me to pass on the project rather than rescheduling many of my jobs. Good luck and thank you for understanding"

    IND Construction Inc
We found IND construction through my sister over 2 yrs ago & it has been an absolute phenomenal experience. They worked 6 days a week nonstop for over 7 months in transforming our kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 2 kids bedrooms, & our master bedroom into "a brand new house". With his project manager & David always in constant communication with us for all details, we found this experience to be more than expected. Small "bumps in the road" always occurs with major remodels but David & his crew were more than willing to fix them without hesitation. David help us find an architect for the designs which matched our wishes completely. David help us find many subcontractors who worked very hard in transforming the work smoothly. We even asked David to help us design our landscaping & hire a great workers to finish our landscaping in less than 2 months. Quality was excellent. For major construction for inside & outside, we can always expect issues that came up but David's crew were more than willing to fix them in short time. Thank you David & Thank you IND construction for your wonderful work. You are all truly professionals!!!

    CANTERBURY LANDSCAPING INC

Canterbury is an outstanding landscaping company with talented designers and skilled crews; we highly recommend them.  We completely agree with positive comments posted by previous customers; e.g., good communication, responsiveness, accurate estimate, reasonable price, punctuality/efficiency/neatness of crews work, and thorough discussion on plant selection, construction process, irrigation, and plant care.

At our initial meeting, designers Ken and Michelle listened to our needs and preferences, provided an estimate, and recommended a tree removal company.  They later returned for measuring the yard and observing its setting.  They came back with a proposal with a large drawing of their design, a list of plants with photos, and an itemized cost of materials.

It took a crew of four men about two weeks to complete the project.  Ken, Michelle, and Scott visited often for supervision and updates.  It was evident that each member of this team was confident about his/her skills and regarded each others work highly.  This undoubtedly contributes to the high quality of their work.

The resulting yard is stunning.  Michelles design is like no other; it is dynamic and has a flow.  Her plant placement is asymmetrical yet strategic and harmonious; different angles provide unique views, all beautiful.  Our yard looks much bigger than before though it remains the same size.

Ken and Michelle returned a couple of times since to make sure everything is ok.  It turned out that one of the sprinkler valves was faulty but the foreman replaced it quickly.  Superb aftercare.

It has been two months since they completed their work.  Plants are growing and many are blooming.  More birds are visiting flowers and boulders.  But what changed most is ourselves.  Before, the front lawn was just a space that separated our house from the street.  Now it is part of our living space.  We sit outside to watch hummingbirds, have a drink, go over mail, or simply relax.  We take a walk in and around the front yard and make new discoveries every morning.  Michelle said that a native garden is a place for exploration; it is so true.

The benefit of a native garden is more than just a reduced water bill.  It lets you reconnect with nature.  A successfully-landscaped garden has a sense of mystery; it keeps luring you in.  Canterbury created such a garden for us.

From consultation to installation, their work exceeded our already-high expectations.  And their down-to-earth, witty character is just icing on the cake.

This job took two trips to the house.  It went very well.  This was a very old sprinkler system that was leaking, wasting water, and not covering all of the grass and plants.  Ever and his assistants worked h****** our system to reduce water waste from the sprinklers.

    Prime Gardens Inc
It went good enough. The crew was fine and did a good job presenting themselves. They were professional. They did miss a couple of sprinklers unfortunately. That was the only disappointing thing about it. I would tell people to use somebody else. I would not use them again.

    Prime Gardens Inc
After being initially disappointed Ali from Prime Gardens personally came to my house and spent over an hour walking through landscaping ideas.  He had a number of great ideas and followed through with several emails on improved design and plant ideas.  Clearly providing great service is important to Prime Gardens.

    CANTERBURY LANDSCAPING INC
Went exceptionally well. We wanted to remove our front and back lawns and re-landscape with a design that was water friendly but still attractive. For us that meant no cactuses but use of other water friendly plants/bushes, mulch, adding several trees and some pathways (flagstone in the front, pebbles in the back).
Ken was very clear about what the cost would be for what we wanted and he/Michelle did an excellent job listening to our thoughts/preferences and developed a design that was very responsive to our desires and helped minimize the overall cost. Michelle put together a very useful set of color printouts showing each plant they were proposing (with it's full name) in advance which was really helpful with visualizing how the landscape would look. And she produced two design sketches which laid everything out prior to the work starting.
There were a couple of minor changes that I asked for (moving a tree location in front and two tree locations in the back) which they accommodated cheerfully. And there were several other changes that we made as we went along and these went smoothly as well. Communication was very straightforward with Ken and he/Michelle were very responsive to any questions or concerns as the project progressed. In the end, the final price was just as communicated. The crew was polite throughout and did a good job cleaning up every night. And Ken/Michelle took the time when we were done to answer all my questions regarding plant maintenance and operation of the irrigation system.
I think the final product - our new water friendly front and back yards look fantastic. We have already gotten several compliments and have made sure folks know about Canterbury Landscaping.
