    Myrtle Avenue Veterinary Hosp
The vet office is constantly busy so one needs to make an appointment which was two weeks later. Lilo received a full check up and was prescribed three medications. They worked very well and we have a follow-through appointment this week.

We moved to Arcata a little over a year ago--thankfully we could get in at Arcata Animal Hospital! The office is clean, pleasant, and all of the techs and front desk staff are courteous. I am so relieved that we are have this high quality veterinary office, as Pyewacket's health needs are taken very seriously here.

We have been taking all our animals to Dr. Reddy for years. His staff are always cheerful and ready to help. I would highly recommend New Animal Hospital to anyone in the Barstow area.

    High Desert Animal Care Hospital
I've been going to them for 30 years. They do exotic animals like lizards, birds, parrots and that kind of stuff. They go out of their way to help with pretty much anything I needed. They're awesome. They have a shot clinic twice a week. I would recommend them to everybody.

    Boulevard Veterinary Hospital
My dog Beauty got VERY ill during the night and she was getting worse fast. I didn't know what was wrong but it I knew it was serious. She s my sweet companion and getting her the accurate diagnosis and treatment imperative. I had in the past a bad experience with emergency Veterinary services and had recently started going to Boulevard Veterinary Hospital and was extremely pleased. Weighing the importance of accurate and speedy diagnosis and treatment I KNEW I could only feel comfortable waiting a couple of hours for Boulevard Veterinary Hospital to open. When I explained our situation we were seen immediately by a Dr.Rick Kohltfarber D.V.M. Who was so gentle, reassuring and very knowledgeable. Although it was a very grave situation Dr.. Kohltfarber showed me the X-rays, and kindly described surgery needed. His demeanor was kind, caring, gentle and knowledgeable. I felt compete trust in him and his abilities. He is what we all think and hope for as a Veterinarian! Beauty's surgery took a few hours and Dr. Kohltfarber preformed it himself. As I anxiously awaited news I received not only a call from their office but by the doctor personally! They kept her overnight and again the next day the doctor himself called me updating me on my dogs condition. My dog Beauty is completely healed now because of the superb care she had from all the wonderful staff at Boulevard Veterinary Hospital in Lancaster, CA and especially Dr. Kohltfarber! I will ONLY trust and go there for my pets! Absolutely

Excellent care was given our cat and for an excellent price. And the vet explained everything to me and allowed me to stop by whenever I wanted to spend time with the cat for the days she was in recovery. They treated my cat which is like family to me, as if she were in a human hospital. Also loved that the place was so clean at all times. This happened shortly after my husband had died, so the extra care they gave meant so much to me. Then I found out they are like this with all their patients and the families of the animals.

As stated above, I think it is good to confer with the vets about specific procedures and procedure costs... they are upfront about necessary and maybe not necessary costs and procedures.

I took Morgan, my Calico queen, in to have her ears checked. She'd been shaking her head and pawing at her right ear. I was afraid she'd gotten a foxtail or some such in her ear and wanted to have it looked at. Dr. Alison wasn't available, so Dr. Bob saw her. Morgan doesn't like going to the vet - the last time was when she'd been bitten by a rattlesnake - and had no qualms about expressing her ire. That deep throated growl means business. We (Dr. Bob and I) decided it would be better (for Dr. Bob) if she was sedated for the exam. They took her into the back and told me to come back for her in about an hour. When I returned to pick her up, she was ready. Dr. Bob told me that her ear was a bit irritated but no sign of anything in it - foxtails, earmites, etc.- and said that it should clear up on it's own, but if not, call and he'd give me some ointment for her. Since she was already there, (and co-operative) he had taken the oppotunity to give her a "once over" and said she was in great shape. Her teeth, eyes, weight, skin, and coat were all really good. I'm always impressed by the care and respect that everyone there shows for the animals and their humans. Their compassion for both a sick animal and a worried person is obvious. How many vets send sympathy cards on the loss of a pet? The follow up call to see how Morgan was doing was appreciated. Jackson Creek Veterinary Clinic's doctors and staff go the extra distance to make sure that their patients, and the attached humans, are well cared for. I highly recommend them.
