    Sirius K9 Academy
Integrating a new dog into a home with an older dog was new to us and we had no idea the challenges ahead of us. We had a 10 year old German Shepherd female and we then rescued a 2ish year old German Shepherd female. We had heard that having two dogs of the same s** was a big issue, but were told by the rescue that they had had a lot of success with two dogs of the same s**. We had some issues with the dogs getting along, so we contacted Sirius K9 to help us with our issues with our girls. Mary-Lou came out to our house and was very helpful. She had a lot of great suggestions that helped us understand the situation and how to deal with it.
When we got the new dog we had planned on taking her to Basic Obedience Training, even though she had obviously already had some training. We chose Sirius K9's Irvine Basic Obedience Training. It is a 6 week course where the first day you are in class without your dog(even if you don't take the whole course the introduction to Basic Obedience is very enlightening!). The remaining 5 weeks we took both our older and newer, younger Shepherd to class. There were a number of different dogs in class with various issues. Caroline was great working with each person with their individual issues as well as teaching the class as a whole. It was amazing to see the changes in the dogs over just a few weeks. We all graduated without a problem.
We are now in the Intermediate class and getting close to testing for the CGC certificate for our younger dog. They make the Intermediate classes fun and challenging for us and our dogs. One day Caroline brought some agility equipment and we took our dogs through the course. It was a great way to get a feel for agility training as well as do something different. Once we have the CGC completed we'll move on to one of their other courses (possibly agility, protection, or therapy, we haven't decided).
We also use Sirius K9 for boarding our dogs while we are away. They have a wide range of services they offer, including training. Mary-Lou has cared for our dogs a number of times and worked with our girls while we were away. We would ask her to focus on certain training aspects with our dogs that we were having difficulties with at home and she'd be able to help better understand what we wanted of them.
Overall, Sirius K9 offers a great experience learning with your dog about how to train them and understand why they do what they do. Weve worked with a couple of Sirius K9's trainers and all of them have a lot to offer. Weve worked with other Obedience trainers in the past and find Sirius K9 to be the best! They teach dogs of all ages and breeds. We highly recommend Sirius K9 for all your dog training and boarding needs! If you have a specific issue outside regular training, then give them a call as they have a great understanding of dogs and what drives them.

    Redefined Dog Training
I think that he is really knowledgeable.  He is kind to the animals.  He is very funny and pleasant to work with.  I have used him for two visits.  I have friends who have used him a lot more.  It seems expensive, but it is in line with others.

    Bark Busters Home Dog Training
I spoke with Steve on the phone and we set up a time for him to come to my. He arrived and spent more than two hours with me. First he interviewed me about my goals for dog training. He went through the Bark Busters contract and I signed it. Bark Busters guarantees to assist you in solving your dog's behavior problems as long as you agree to follow their program. Steve taught me to read my dog's body language and behavior and how to set limits for her. He showed me the Bark Busters' method for discipling the dog and how to maintain discipline. The program seemed mediocre. Steve was one of the worst people trainers I have ever experienced. He would have returned to do more follow up but I couldn't bear the idea of working with him any more. I have been able to control my dog a little better using their methods. It was definitely NOT worth the fee.
