Bathtub Refinishing reviews in Irvine

Robert did a great job refinishing our tub. He was very helpful with suggestions on what products to use and how to clean the shower doors and hardware while they were off of the tub. Terry came in after the tub cured and did a great job installing the shower doors. I would recommend All American Coating to any of my neighbors.

They were honest and told me what they can and cannot do in terms of standing shower door. I opted with a common shower door and they did a great job in installation and making sure we are satisfied. The resurfacing work was professional and relatively inexpensive compared to other quotes.

8 hr. and two guys showed up a bit late. Very nice, clean and went through all the work I had for them. Issue was really that they were not overly skilled for the work. They were able to paint bathroom but were a bit sloppy for my taste leaving residual paint on tiles, mirrors, drips on lights, etc. Partially completed grouting repair task but must not have understood the request to regrout all tiles and seal problem areas along windows and floors. Essentially spent a good chunk of time removing/cleaning temporary tub seal tape on tub and ran out of time to do anything else. Replaced kitchen sink faucet but 2 days later it is lose and I"m having to fix on my own. Not a bad experience but the "skilled" part was not quite there.

They were very responsive and did a good job. It was kind of expensive compared to other companies but he was good because he was willing to come over and do an estimate before doing the work so I knew he was reliable. Most companies wouldnt come over for an estimate they would only come over if I agreed to them doing the work. The tub looks good.

.I am so pleased with Terry and his work.  First he did the tub and tile reglazing and I was so happy with the outcome that I asked him to resurface the three bathroom countertops. The tubs and tile look like new and my bathrooms now look like they've had a total makeover.   I highly recommend All American Coatings and if I have the opportunity for more projects like this, I will call them again.
Terry has a cheerful, pleasant attitude an he is willing to tackle the tough jobs. He was prompt and professional. I highly recommend All American Coatings.

I had used them years ago and they had done a fabulous job so I thought I'd have no worries with this job. Their initial contact was good. I thought I had made myself very clear about what I wanted. Their wait time to get started was way too long. When the worker came on the first day (about 2-3 weeks after initial contact), he started to put the acrylic up and I said that was not what we had asked for. The worker was very pleasant and informed me that what I wanted was not something they could do. Ultimately I cancelled the job and said I wanted my deposit back by the end of the business day. I also told the gal back at their office that I not only will never use them again but I would not be recommending them to my friends or family. She called back a little while later and said they wanted to keep our business and would it be ok if a salesman came (with the refund check), look at the job and see if their was something that would make me happy. Reluctantly I said ok. I had to leave for an appointment so I told my husband to make the decision. When the salesman came to look at it, he brought some tiles and described to my husband how it would look with tile. With my agreement, my husband scheduled the work to be done in a few days. When they arrived he started to put up acrylic again. I told him we were expecting tile and a new contract depicting the scope of the new work. The worker said there wasn't a new contract, that he was doing what we had originally contracted for. I called the office and asked to speak with the salesperson who had come out. He said that they could not do what I originally wanted done. Yea, I know! Then he said they never intended to do tile, we must have misunderstood. He was rude and said they would either finish the job or refund my deposit. Clearly it wasn't a case of "the customer is always right". I reiterated that I would never use them again and I would not refer them to anyone who asked me for a recommendation. In the end, the workmanship was good, they gave us a $150 credit and replaced the hardware in both of our bathrooms in an effort to lessen the "sting" of our " misunderstanding".

Originally, my husband and I had booked Terry to re-finish/re-glaze the very dingy-looking bathtub in one of the bathrooms of the home we had just purchased. Terry started off by professionally cleaning the bathtub first. After he was finished with the cleaning, it looked as good as new!! He said he would be happy to refinish it, as we had originally requested, but he didn't think it was necessary. I was so grateful for his honesty! He saved us over $150 worth of services that were unnecessary, but I wouldn't have known if he hadn't said anything. The fact that he could clean the bathtub so well was also very impressive, because we had tried every trick in the book ourselves, and we even had professional cleaners give it a stab, but none were successful. Only Terry was able to get the job done! He was also very professional and pleasant.

    Porcelain & Fiberglass Maintenance
A couple of months after they did the work it started peeling.  They came back out to re-do the work, and during the process left some white spots that I had to point out, it was supposed to be beige.  He had trouble blending some areas on the side of the tub, instead of an even blend the tub has starburst shapes.  At this point I will just have to replace the tub. They showed up when they said they would.  Knowing what I know now, instead of re-painting the tub,  I would have replaced it instead. When they came to do the painting they used an airbrush painter and used my bathroom fan for ventilation.  I had to take the fan out and clean all the tines after they were done to get the fan to work again. They were very professional and answered any questions I had.

They did an excellent job. The day they said they would come, they were on time. They did the work quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. The work looks beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very polite and the deal was great, but they asked for me to be out of the house for 5 hours which I was not comfortable with. Also, to remove the shower door was $50 and then re-install it was $150, so to put back your old shower door after the re-glazing would cost about $200 extra! They need to disclose extra costs in the fine print.
