    The Ivy Builders
We chose Ivy Builders for a large kitchen and bathroom project that took 2+ months. It was a fantastic decision because Tal treated us like family, was incredibly communicative, and his teams were all very professional, kind and did a fantastic job. Like when they did the initial demolition, they left our house swept and ready for us to walk through. It's a best case scenario for having contractors in your house everyday. When it comes to design, Nick is also fantastic, and helped us make decisions that really improved the look and feel of our space. We couldn't be happier with the final outcome!

    Vanguard Swimming Pool Contractors
By far my best experience yet with a home improvement project. I had a pool and spa installed by this company recently. Juan was very professional and work is high quality. From the day the job started, he and his workers were onsite everyday working, starting at the time he promised and working as efficiently as possible to get the job done on time, including weekends when needed. I've experienced contractors in the past that take advantage of their customers, send workers out with no supervision or don't show up at all, poor workmanship, etc. so I can truly appreciate Juan and his crew for taking such pride in their work and going above and beyond to ensure my project turned out exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

    Himco Fence & Gate
Horrible experience. Took two months. Then left my gate unsecured so a burglar tried to break in back door. Burglars bent the door trying to kick it in. Fortunately unsuccessful. Owner made a promise to replace it via email. However after I paid for the fence he reneged. I contacted the Better Business Bureau also. But they could do nothing. Do not hire this company.

    The Ivy Builders
I used The Ivy Builders 4 times already. I'm an entrepreneur , I find houses in bad shape and flip them. Tal and Nick with The Ivy Builders always gave me the best prices and the results are surprising me each time. I had another contractor before and it was so bad compare to work with them. Will recommend to anyone anytime

    Del Mar Landscaping
The guys at Del Mar Landscaping were great. Conrad, the owner of the company is the best. He is honest, understanding, and willing to work with you. His workers are also great - they always came with a smile and eager to work. They worked round the clock to get as much done as possible each day they came. Now, like all construction type jobs, there were a few things that didn't go as planned but the guys made sure to fix things as best as possible to give me what I envisioned / wanted. Ex. the putting green they installed was a little bumpy around the holes, wasn't as smooth as I'd hope it'd be - they came with a solution and fixed it within a few days of me letting them know. There were even a couple occasions where the plants they planted died a couple of weeks after they put them in and they, without question or hassle, replaced them. They are willing to own up to their mistakes (it happens) and fix things - which is refreshing as not all contractors I've dealt with are like this. I would definitely work with these guys again.

    A Pete's Concrete
It didn't go well. The owner represents himself as a contractor. I asked for a card but he didn't have one. I would have checked his license no. Peter the owner said the job would be $500, $250 for sealer and $250 for labor. On the second day which was the day he was to start putting sealer down. I came to check on the job and noticed the sealer he was using was 5gal. of Thompson's water seal that only costs depending on where you purchase it $55 to $65 a gal. I called him on it and he said, they told him that was good (Home Depot). I also noticed a gal. of WD-40 and ask what that was for? He told me he put it on the bullnose. I called a paver company and they never heard of such a thing. Peter applied sealer with a roller, the surface is not flat so it didn't cover the low spots well. If he was a contractor he would know the process. When he asked for payment, he attempted to get $500. I didn't went to debate so we agreed and I gave him $400 just to keep piece. It took more than three days to dry. The spots on pictures show all the light spots (shows no sealer). There's much more to this encounter with Peter. This is the gist of what happened.

From Autumn To Spring Landscaping Maintenance
Our experience was excellent. Dorian (owner) and his guys were great - punctual, friendly, meticulous, but efficient. Although our overall cost wasn't necessarily inexpensive, we had a lot of work done, AND we did get another estimate from a separate company who wanted to charge us much more. So, given the quality of work and the great services provided, I think we got a bargain. We are also retaining Autumn to Spring to maintain our yard weekly. I recommend them without hesitation.

    Sunshine Tree & Landscape Service
Johnny and Lito were amazing. They showed up early, which worked to my advantage, and Johnny's tree removal and trimming skills are incredible. When he arrived at the house I described the scope of the work that I needed done and he started on the job immediately. Needless to say, I am completely satisfied with the results. They were fast and did an excellent clean up job.

    Kd Construction
Everything went great! We have no complaints and only good things to say about Fermin and his crew. Deciding on a Contractor was a major issue for us. We have tons of friends who have had work done on their places and not one of them could recommend someone to us. In fact, most if not all had horror stories about bait and switch tactics, unreliable workers and jobs going way over their completion date. I'm talking 2-3 months of living in a hotel while things were "finished up".
We had none of these issues with Fermin. He gave us a schedule and stuck to it. The only thing that extended the finish date were additions that we made to the original plans.
His guys were there every day working hard and take great pride in their work. Fermin was also always available and got back to us quickly if we had any questions or issues. He himself was on the job site on a regular basis lending a hand and making sure things went smoothly.
Working with Fermin we really felt taken care of. He worked with us and our budget to give the best possible results. We had talked with  3 or 4 other top rated bigger companies on Angie's List and were going to go with one of them. However, to be honest, we got bad vibes from all of them and in the end decided to go with Fermin. And I must say it was one of the better decisions I've made in my life. There was no middle man, and no "money man" to try and upsell you on more work. The same guys who started the job were the same guys who finished the job so everyone takes ownership with what's being done. That being said Fermin has a small company and takes care of everything himself. There is no team of folks in an office somewhere making things happen it's pretty much all him. So don't be scared off if it takes him a little longer to analyze your job and get you your first estimate. That was one of the reasons we first thought about going another way but I am so glad we didn't. I assure you any extra time you think you're wasting waiting for that estimate will be made up in the end with the quality and timeliness of his work. I can confidently say that if you give him a chance you will not regret it.

    Alpha Structural, Inc.
We had increasing issues with humps in our floors which prevented doors from opening and closing properly.  Alpha was able to lower the high spots and raise the low spots from underneath.
There was also one place at the exterior kitchen wall where the foundation had broken and twisted due to ground movement.  They stabilized and repaired the crack, and poured a partial new foundation in that location.
While our house was bolted to the foundation, they upgraded the attachment methods to meet current codes.
They did a good job and quickly.  They prepared the engineering drawings, pulled the permit with the City, and called for the inspections in a timely fashion.
We can now open and close multiple doors fully, including the front door, which we had not been able to do previously.
