This is a team that does it all! They did a great job. We had to renovate a couple of rooms and modify an existing bathroom to accommodate an elderly parent who is moving in. With America coordinating the project, Jim and his crew completed everything from beginning to end. They were very responsive and patient with our questions and changes. We were always very comfortable with the crew in our home. They were all very professional and easy to work with. We have already recommended them to our neighbors and would certainly use them again ourselves.

You can't go wrong with Jim and America. The work is so professional and when the unexpected happens, they both jump in to fix it. Our bathroom plumbing for instance was not in good shape--corroded and clogged internally greatly restricting flow. Jim just jumped in and fixed it. When the cabinet-maker sent some incorrect parts, Jim made it work. America is amazing. You get a text letting you know when they'll be there and they actually show up on that day. She is very responsive to questions and concerns and basically just keeps everything running smoothly. Jim and America are straight-up people. They deliver what they promise and their prices are reasonable. I couldn't be happier, that's why we hired them not once, but twice to do the different projects in our home.

Absolutely amazing! If I could give 10 stars I would! Mike is a truly great guy; he answers the phone and texts immediately, he took the time to explain all options in detail, helped us with the HERO program, was a no pressure salesman and truly wanted the best fit for our situation. We were left high and dry by another contractor and had no heat. When I was searching and calling furnace installers, I encountered several who "didn't have the time" to talk to me, or even come out to give me a quote. Mike came out that evening to look at our issue. Mike explained his Lennox system and how the install would occur. He had his crew out early in the morning and they were cleaning up the house by the time I got off of work that day. A true one day install. We had insulation blown in as well, and our house is really cozy and warm now during the rainy and chilly nights. He also changed out 8 old energy sucking windows in just one day! He even managed to rescue two stained glass windows that were very precious to me because they were made by a family member! The workmanship is great and we can already see the difference in how little the furnace actually turns on. I can't say enough about his level of integrity and straight forward approach. If you want to finally work with a trustworthy person, Mike is your guy! I already am thinking about more projects for him to do!

Champion Aire Heating And Air Conditioning
I don't know where to start. The whole company gets a 5 star rating. Starting with the owner that answered the call through Angie's list in the evening, Steve stopping by the next day to look at our heater and the A-team crew that came out the same day to install. Anthony Remigio, Jerry Segovia and Enardo Solis where amazing! These guys are top notch.

    P's Handyman Services Inc
Pier is honest, dependable, reliable, and experienced. He has an impressive attention to detail. He holds his subcontractors and his right-hand man, Greg, to the same high standard he holds himself. Frankly, now that he's finished the work I hired him to do, I'm dumbfounded by what a great experience it was.

I've dealt with my fare share of contractors and other home-improvement professionals over the years, and have concluded that, if left to their own devices, many of them are generally either dishonest, incompetent, or both.  Also, I'm a fairly handy, inquisitive and detail-oriented person, who needs to understand every little detail of what's going on. For these reasons, I ask a ton of questions and keep my nose in my contractor's business.  During the quoting process, this scared off a few potential contractors. But Pier was not scared and seemed pleased to work with someone like me (not to say I didn't get on his nerves sometimes, but he was justified and rolled with it).  I believe the reason why was his experience. He's been in the general contracting business since the '80s, and learned many of his skills in the Midwest, where they have real weather, so it's a more challenging place to be a contractor than Orange County. He always had answers to my questions, and even took the time to teach me things I did not know.

I hired Pier to renovate my kitchen and perform an assortment of other home improvement tasks, like insulating the walls, and upgrading some of the electrical and plumbing. I also asked him to do a heap of general maintenance tasks and concrete removal. There was one other contractor who seemed like a good guy who I didn't scare off, but his quote was about $3000 (approximately 10%) more than Pier's. In other words, Pier's prices are lower than at least some of his competition. During my renovation project, I used a couple of personal contacts to do the floor and the counters in an effort to save a little bit of money. I also purchased pre-fabricated cabinets because my budget did not allow for Pier's custom cabinets.  And guess where I had problems? With the floors, counters, and cabinets.  So my advice, call up Pier, tell him everything you want that matches your budget, and then relax while the man does his thing. Perhaps that's the best way to put what I'm trying to say. When you do home improvement, you should expect to have problems, and you should expect that some of them are your contractor's fault. But Pier caused me zero problems.

Finally, many contractors are sexist and treat women poorly. Not Pier. My wife was involved in a number of our discussions. He listened to everything she said, treated her with respect, and incorporated her input into his work.

Pier exceeded my wildest expectations. He is one in a million.

    Everguard Home Insulation Inc.
I am very happy with the way that insulation was provided to every area of the house that had an exterior wall or attic space with the "blow in" type of cellulose insulation.  I felt that the service professionals who did the job for my home really went out of their way to provide a great service and it is also great that I will now get a rebate from the Gas Company for insulating my home, which previously had zero insulation.  I would recommend this company and their service to neighbors.

    GoodFellas Construction
After meeting with several General Contractors for our home addition project, my wife and I decided to go with Goodfellas.  Danny Gold was the initial point of contact and he met with us multiple times to go over the scope and cost of the project.  It was a rather large project (pretty much gutted the whole house and also added 400 sq.ft) and Danny walked us through what the timeline would look like.  Once the details were hammered out and the contract was signed, Danny quickly contacted his Foreman, Rudy Garza to get the project started.

Work started on 12/01/15, with demolition on the exterior of the home.  We were supposed to be out of the house so they could also demo the inside, however, it took us about a week longer than expected to clear out the house.  Danny and Rudy were both very accommodating and they worked on other things while we got our stuff packed up and in storage.  By the end of the first week outside demo was complete, footing and foundation trenches were dug, concrete forms were laid, and some plumbing trenches were also dug.

As the project has progressed along for the past few months I am very impressed with how smoothly everything has gone.  With this large of a project I was expecting a lot of hiccups along the way.  Danny, although not on-site everyday, keeps me up to date on progress and lets me know when payments or other items need to be purchased.  He recommended several good stores and brands for us to check out as we purchased things and is always available by phone, email or text should I need to get a hold of him.  He even took some time out to come and meet with the rest of my family, who is helping financially with the project, to go over some concerns that they had.  By the time he was done talking with them, everyone was comfortable that we had made the right choice in going with Goodfellas.

Rudy, the foreman, is the one doing and coordinating all the actual construction on the house and I have to say he has been amazing.  At the onset of the project I figured they would be working Monday - Friday, with the occasional Saturday here or there.  Rudy has been at the house 7 days a week either working on things or getting things prepped for the next day or week's work.  I visit the house everyday to see the progress, so Rudy and I speak constantly.  He is always gracious and willing to stop what he is doing and walk me through the work that was done that day.  He answers the millions of questions I have and always keeps me up to date as to what work or inspections are going to be happening.  Like Danny, Rudy is available by phone should I have any questions.

Aside from the quality of the work being done, the thing that most impresses me is the level of communication between Danny/Rudy and myself.  I am 100% comfortable in knowing that my project is in their very capable hands.  I know that if I have any questions or concerns, either Danny or Rudy will be able to answer or resolve them.  I have worked with other contractors in the past and the communication has just been average.  Danny and Rudy have exceeded my expectations and I am so glad that we chose to use them for our project.

    Evergreen Attic Insulation
We had a problem for a while and we had to take care of it and replace the current insulation with new one. We tried to contact several companies for that job and after talking and meeting with several companies, we hired Attic Masters for that work. The reason for our decision was, that this company sounded reliable and when we called, someone answered and gave us a good
service. Also Juan came over to our house on the date and time frame that was given to us by the office. The work that Juan did was good. He came with 2 additional workers that at first, they removed the old one and prepared the space for the new insulation. On the second day, all they did was placing the new insulation after spraying the empty attic with some chemicals that according to them, will leave a good smell and will prevent any additional problem in the future.
The price for that work was very comparable compare to the other companies that gave us estimate (some even didn?t bother to give an estimate).
