Hazard Remediation reviews in Huntington Beach

I don't know where to start. The whole company gets a 5 star rating. Starting with the owner that answered the call through Angie's list in the evening, Steve stopping by the next day to look at our heater and the A-team crew that came out the same day to install. Anthony Remigio, Jerry Segovia and Enardo Solis where amazing! These guys are top notch.

The project went well. Jay put me in contact with the contracting side to help put my rooms back together after they were done with the removal. Based on my meeting with the contractor, i would not feel comfortable having him in my home again. It didn’t help that he also never sent me the estimate even though he came to my house to review the scope of work.

We’re writing this review for Horizon Construction & Remolding, Inc. because we found them to be a timely, conscientious and hardworking company that was easy to work with.
The owner Mark Besnos and his staff were very attentive to every detail of our bathroom remodel.
All of the crew members that worked on our bathroom were extremely hard working, always showed up on time and worked long hours to get the job done.
We would highly recommend Horizon Construction for your next construction job.

Omar and Kelly are fantastic. They were responsive, thorough, timely, worked diligently and HARD morning to night, and left our house clean as could be. They took time to explain in detail what they were going to do before they did it, kept us informed on progress and when the job would be done, and calmed our nerves. If you find you have mold, CALL THEM!

Very professional, organized, and punctual.  Gary and his crew were friendly and took great care with the installation.  Gary pulled the city permits and scheduled the city inspection around my schedule.  Excellent company.

Loui was prompt, very professional, and really seemed to care about the problems that I was experiencing. He was also very good at explaining the process he was following and the mold issues that he was finding in my home that I bought 1 month before his inspection.
I was provide a detailed report of the mold inspection via email  about 10 days after the inspection with  my results and their recommendations.
I also had a telephone conversation with Mark the owner, to further review their findings and recommendations.
I would highly recommend The Mold Guy.

I had a deadline to get the work done.  Cameron was very responsive and had a crew out there to get the work done ahead of my deadline.  The crew answered all of my questions, and took pictures of the work in progress so that I could see exactly what they were doing for each phase.  It was a relief to have someone come in and get the work done, on time and with no complications.

I can highly recommend him and his company and he has been one of the most pleasant contractors to work with.

I found Treeium and another mold remediation company on  Got quotes from both.  The other company came in at $1,600 with a 10 year warranty but I really did not feel comfortable with them.  Treeium did mold testing which showed severe infestation. So, even with a quote of $4,224 signed a contract with Treeium's representative, Maor (Adam).  They created a big plastic tent for containment, demoed even more of the living room wall than the plumber had and made a lot of noise scraping studs and the green board that backed the tile in the shower.  At one point, I pointed out that, due to the vigorous scraping, they had chipped a tile in the shower.  They then set up a fan to evacuate the sealed, tented living room area and told me it needed to run, along with a dehumidifier, for three days.  They came back after the three days and said that the noisy equipment still needed to run for another four or five days.  They also proceeded to bust through the shower wall even though we were assured that there was no mold in the bathroom.  Now, since they had opened up the bathroom, there was a new addendum which added another $3,500 to the cost.  What are you going to do when they're already in the process of remediation and break down more walls?
According to the "cost of project" function at HomeAdvisor, mold remediation should cost between $1,236 and $1,860 with an absolute maximum of $4,000.  It doesn't specify if this is per area remediated.  One note:  Since they had opened up a hole between the bath and living room, the only additional sealing that was done was to blue-tape the bathroom door and seal up the bathroom A/C vent.  I pressed pretty hard about the scope of effort not justifying the additional charge but was told by Maor that this was their "standard charge".  As consolation, he offered to discount the repair work $1,500 but their bid for that came in at $13,400 before the discount AND, we would have to provide the tile which, originally, cost us nearly $1,000.  So much for the "discount".

Overall I am very happy with the job given my limited budget. Like I expected, I went over budget based on my design choices and lack of hiring a interior designer to draw out the plans. The framer and contract workers worked closely with me on the finishing details since I am particular on how I want things to look on completion. The downside - due to the combination of : the coordination of subcontractors, waiting for permit approval and waiting for fixtures - custom items, the remodeling took nearly 2x's as long as I expected -4 months. Granted, there were days were no one was working and we could not move forward because 1 item or 1 inspector or 1 worker was sick. Overall, Tim is a great guy and really makes an effort to give you what you want given the circumstances and budget. Tim is good at letting you know what is possible and what is not possible. He is also good at making suggestions, a Plan B, if Plan A is not possible. When I show guests and friends the job they always say great things about the work/design. I suggest the customer be as specific as possible, do a lot of research about the fixtures and finishes they want and have visuals available for Tim and his crew, i.e., tear sheets from home magazines or design websites. The more specific the customer's vision the quicker and more efficient the crew will work. Please note that my job was done in the Summer. The Summer is any contractor's busiest work season so they might be working on multiple jobs at the same time.
