Huntington Beach Exterior Painters Reviews
A short time later, after getting other quotes, I scheduled the work with
The following Monday, Xael showed up alone thinking he would finish that day. There was still a lot of work to be done and he did not finish. He came back on Tuesday by himself and finally finished at 4pm after spending all day there.
Overall, the house looked pretty good. Ultimately, I am pretty happy with the job. There were two things I was a bit disappointed with. One was attention to detail. There was some bubbling in some of the wood from old paint jobs that needed to be sanded down and repaired before painting.
The other disappointment was the length of time it took. I was told 3-4 days to complete the job. It actually took 7 (M, T, W,
One thing to keep in mind was that the entire team was very responsive to our requests. Once I pointed out things that were supposed to be addressed per the contract, they addressed them. When we found additional spots that needed to be patched, they fixed them. If paint needed to be touched up, they did it. The work itself was good. Xael did a good job cleaning up. He got pretty much all the paint chips from the grass and garden areas.
To sum it all up, I am satisfied with the work and would use
Our current project was a roughly $200,000 house remodel on a million dollar home that required coordination among a variety of interior and exterior contractors over approximately 6 months. Pier was hired primarily for his expertise as a carpenter an area where he truly shines as one of the best. In particular, Pier delivered a beautiful staircase and wainscoting exactly to our specifications as well as matching built in seating and beadboard in adjoining rooms. The entire flow of the house works perfectly as all the areas are designed and built correctly in the same style and finish. On the exterior, Pier was able to install our choice of siding (
I have seen negative ratings issued to Pier based on price. In my experience, Pier's price was very competitive with other tradesman that we evaluated and in all honestly, I think we got a bargain. I did however receive lower quotes on some portions of the job from less skilled contractors, contractor's without licenses, or contractors who did not intend to do the work themselves but subcontract out to other people. Its important when evaluating each bid to make sure bids are comparable for the services being offered both on the list of services but on the quality of construction. There were many areas that came up during the project (as always do) that required good judgement and experience to resolve correctly. I have hired many other contractors who would have avoided handling those problems, charged extra or failed to disclose them. In the long run (i.e. on a house you plan to live in) you always end up paying for those oversights.
In summary, if I was flying off into space in my house and I had to have just one contractor, I'd take Pier, both for his skill and his good company.
- Price above included some materials supplied by contractor. Some work managed by additional tradesman at Pier's direction.
When initiating requests for bids I sent two pages of questions that I wanted answered on the initial walk around. Five contactors out of eight returned my request and of that five only
After they had painted a great deal of the house we decided the color was to white for our tastes and
This has been an encouraging experience for me after having heard horror stories from friends and neighbors who have had contractors do have the job and then leave and either came back to do a hasty job lacking in quality or some that never returned and then they had to start all over again to find a new contractor. I feel a little more confident in getting more jobs done around my house now that this has been exactly what I expected.
the complete exterior of our home. My husband, a retired painting contractor,
thought the work was excellent. The crew worked the complete job and stayed on the job until completed. There was a lot o prep work to be done with termite and wood rot damage. The men repaired all damaged areas and it looks great They took care to be very neat and cautious with surrounding areas. They always gathered their equipment at the end of the day and made sure to store supplies in an inconspicuous but safe place for the next days work. We are proud of the exterior of our home and think it looks great.
It was a pleasure doing business with
Euriel who was in charge of the crew has an excellent eye for detail & he made sure that our requirements were met. As he worked along with the other 2 painters, he was also checking on what they were doing so that all would turn out right. He also took the time to explain the different paint finishes so that the right choices were made for our job. And he was always happy to answer my questions as they went along.
There were a few minor touchups that needed to be done which were taken care of right away.
